I run Firefox on Fedora Linux (Silverblue). For several releases I've noticed that the reader mode only displays the Close Reader View, Text and Layout, and Theme options and nothing else i.e. no content.

When I run it in troubleshooting mode, it works. I've tried disabling all my extensions, deleting all my extensions, restoring the browser to default settings but nothing makes a difference. I'm always on the latest release (currently 147.0.3). I currently have multiple profiles, but it didn't work even before I rebuilt them. I'm out of ideas.

Any help is appreciated

(Firefox for Android)

When I switch to reader mode, characters such as é, è, à,... (All *very* common in French) appear as This problem doesn't affect every page, and when it happens, the reader view first appears normal, but then switches font to a problematic one. The affected pages were reached through the internet archive, could this be what causes the issue ?

Is there a way of changing the font used by reader mode to one able to display these characters?

Some more Debug info: My phone and Firefox are both set to English, and I'd prefer to keep it that way. I use a couple extensions, but the issue persisted when I deactivated them on these pages.

Reader view misses out first text section on our webpage

On this page https://www.apc.org/en/project/member-engagement-and-travel-fund the first section of text is missed out from reader view - so that the text starts half way through the article. I understand the table will be ignored - and the internal table of contents links at the very top, but there is a paragraph in between those things that is being ignored entirely. The normal text parts should all be included for the article to make sense.

I have tried changing the markup so the paragraph was not inside the same div as the table or table of contents but this does not seem to make any difference.

Google chrome reader view handles the page fine.

Any tips no how to change markup to avoid this or is there a way to fix it?

Start Firefox, open four tabs, separate them into four, and place them in a specific position on one of the monitors, all separately. How can I ensure that the next time I restart the system, when I start that Firefox profile, they all open in that position and separated? Artificial intelligence says that it would be impossible for Firefox to do something like this, as its native problem does not allow it to do so.

For now, I have set up a macro to do it automatically, but that takes time. I would like it to happen automatically when I start up.

Another thing, it would be nice if Firefox allowed you to zoom in on a specific area of the screen, and then be able to minimize the screen manually as much as possible, leaving only the zoomed-in part visible. Unfortunately, I've been doing this through inspect and deleting things on the page, but it would be great if they added it.

Hi all. Years ago I used to use a text only browser and as everyone knows as time goes by more and more graphical content flys onto your screen plus all the other rubbish which is just a pain.

Its also good for gobbling up your data allocation if on a mobile plan or fixed monthly data package and when you go over you have to open up that wallet and and over more hard earned cash.

So after checking out Firefox option I see the "text" toggle button only works on some websites or is not available at all on other sites.

Is Firefox or the programmers going to look at full support in the near future for text/graphical option to toggle between in the browser? I think it would be definitely worth the effort and time. This would also be ideal on very low bandwidth connections.

Hello,

I'm an older person who's still learning how to use my phone.

I recently noticed a symbol I don't understand. It's on the right edge of the Navigation Bar and is a box with 3 lines (text?). When I click on it, it turns the page black and simplfies what I'm seeing. I've added a couple of images below. It's even on this page I'm using now.

What is this?

Thanks!

I'm currently experiencing it with this article which is paywalled but to which I'm signed in: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/1993/02/22/beverly-hills-hotel-paradise-lost

Reader view shows the full non-truncated view when using Firefox for Android or Safari for Mac OS.

I'd rather use Firefox, but I come across multiple such issues using either the desktop or mobile version which is making it increasingly difficult to rely on this browser.
