I know I am not the first person to complain about this. The spacing/padding between menu items, in particular the Bookmark menu is just ridiculously large. It got even bigger in 92.0!

I rely on Bookmarks heavily and use hundreds. I guess this was done for touch screens? The main interface is still currently the mouse for computers.

I see the only current fix is a using a stylesheet and it seems a bit involved. I have to give it a try. I am pleading with the designers, please give us the option to use compact padding once again. I am not sure why this is being forced on us. I really like Firefox, please don't make me look for another option. Thanks!

Edit: So, yeah, I need help getting this tag off. I'm new to Firefox so it could be something obvious I'm missing. I have also tried CTRL+SHIFT+R to reload the page for changes and also closed and reopened my Firefox entirely.

I just updated Firefox to version 81.0 in Linux, Windows and Mac, but the credit card autofill option is still missing from the Preferences menu.

Thunderbird automatically updated last night and now I can't send email from any of my accounts. All incoming works just fine. Unlike some of the others I've read, my address book seems just fine. The only problem is that the server is rejecting all of my email accounts now. I have made zero changes. I have since tried working with the tech support for Shaw and they're stumped and referred me here.

Here's the error message with my email addy removed: Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <email addy was here> sender rejected. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.

I tried creating a new outgoing server using the info from the tech support person and making that the default, but the exact same problem occurred. HELP please!

I have yet another issue to present that I am 100% certain that the developers bear 100% responsibility as a result of releases 96.0 and 96.01. There is a 0% margin for error on this assessment.

I am not presenting this issue because I require personal assistance. I haven’t done a damn thing wrong. I am presenting this issue, so that it would potentially get noticed by or forwarded to one of the developers, or by a user that happens to relay this issue to them.

I am using Windows 7. Therefore, I am uncertain if the issue extends to Windows 10 and 11. The issue does not affect the browser’s functionality.

In my Windows appearance settings, I have always chosen to have a pale yellow color for the background. It relieves the harshness of the white colored background when I am typing in Word for extended hours. I have had this setting for years and never altered it.

Since 96.0, they finally fixed the Bookmarks lag issue, which was pertinent to Windows 7 users. The Bookmarks issue began as of 92.0. I raised that issue as well, and called out the developers as being solely responsible for that. Unfortunately, whatever the developers did in the 96.0 and 96.01 updates, my pale yellow background setting is now appearing on specific websites that must have a clear background in some parts. In other words, those backgrounds used to appear as white on these specific websites. Here are two examples of commonly-used websites that now are displaying my background color setting instead of white. The NCAA football website and the BBC website.

As stated in my Bookmarks complaint, there is a blatant absence of any methodical thought process by its development team. They release far too many updates in any given year. Between the 96.0 and 96.0.1 was less than 24 hours. That’s how you know that these people are clueless what they are doing. Then you have this newly introduced issue as a result of fixing others as of 96.0. It’s a very sad state of affairs over at Mozilla. It appears to be a hopeless situation.

If I wanted my background appearance setting to appear on all websites, all I would have to do is set the “Override the colors specified by the page with your selections above” to “ALWAYS”. I have double checked the color settings in Firefox and confirm that my settings have not altered from default. The override… setting is set to “Only with high contrast themes” and the background color is set to white.

The issue that I just presented is 100% on the developers. Don’t even bother trying to challenge it. I was spot-on with the Bookmarks assessment on blame as well. I only provide accurate assessments on blame.

Here’s some advice for the Mozilla developers. Why not fix this issue and kindly spare us with any further updates for the remainder of the year. You people are doing a pathetic job.

This may be a Windows 7 issue only.

Am trying to rediscover my Thunderbird passwords. Am using Thunderbird 91.3.0. The process described by Help starts by "select Tools then select Options" or "click on menu then select Options" but neither produce "Options". Is it hiding somewhere, or is Help telling me an old method which 91.3.0 doesn't support? Please help. I can receive emails but cannot send them. Thankyou

Symptom is inbox emails not appearing. Repair folder restores emails but they disappear again as soon as inbox is left. Same thing happens to emails in sent and trash boxes.

Have also tried deleting .msf files with Thunderbird not running. This action has no apparent effect.

I just noticed that my Thunderbird address book is empty. I am running version 91.2.1. I've included a screen capture of the directory where the address book files are located.

I got "Your message wasn't delivered to support-thunderbird-request@lists.mozilla.org because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail."

I could not find news regarding this, so I'm wondering...

(But then again, Mozilla has always done a good job hiding everything T'Bird.)

All of a sudden my TB installation (release 91.3.2 running on Win 10) is displaying a .pdf attachment in TB itself! rather than displaying it with the associated program (Adobe Acrobat DC). Anybody have any idea why it is doing this?? Thanks.

This issue just started a few days ago. Formatting problem. The email top and bottom are partially cut off. See attached picture. I can't see all of the top buttons on the top or attachments on the bottom.

Hello, I have a verizon.net email address that was moved over to AOL and it was working well for a long time until a few months ago when AOL did some changes and for some reason the password I enter on Thunderbird is not accepted but the same password is working on the website

Today I happened to find others on this site that have the same problem and one suggestion was to change the authentication method to Oauth2 which I did and it accepted the password and I can receive emails now but the outgoing is still not working because there is no Oauth2 in the drop down list for the outgoing server so I cannot change it

Is there another solution or workaround for this ?

When downloading my Audible Library via Firefox (latest update) tha downloaded fies in AAX format, are appearing in my Downloads Folder as .MP4 format. Convertion to MP3 works, but is messy. I`m informed by Audible Support that the fault lies with Mozzilla.! Regards, Tony Jackson

error message is "nsMsgAttachmentData::~nsMsgAttachmentData" is crash reports but nothing shows up here on Mozilla forums or on web

I am using Windows 7. I am using Thunderbird for years. I have about 30GB of data and, while initializing my PC, Thunderbird suddenly ask me to create an account ! I tried to find similar problems and did try a few of the solutions proposed but could not succeed ! How to fix it and get back all my settings and data ?

Firefox version 94.0.2 isn't supporting Netflix streaming, on my pc windows 10. Always worked, but stopped this evening. Google Chrome works, but not Firefox. Firefox is my browser of choice. Can you help me.

Does compacting affect the use and/or availability of disc space on a digital harddrive differently than it does on a mechanical harddrive? I have heard that processes such as defrag etc are not advisable for digital harddrives.
