Now... This browser (and others) are enabling advertisers to adjust screen sensitivity... And 'pause' adverts as we scroll down screen. Several times now i have inadvertently clicked on adverts when DEFINITLEY not applying greater finger pressure. Ive looked for touchscreen sensitivity settings... Seems they have been removed from newer android types. I bought this device and buy my data.. Why are you writers still allowing advertisers to RULE over us! Ive never ever responded to a browser add... And now because of one comanies 'intelligent' advertising i will not be ordering from them again. Adds are ruining the mobile Internet.

When using Firefox 41.0.2 on Android 6.0 (Nexus 6 device), if I've bookmarked a search engine -- say, https://www.google.com or https://www.duckduckgo.com -- and then load that page via the bookmark, the Google keyboard (just the system default keyboard) is not activated when I click in the search box. It just gives me the text selection tool instead, but there's no text to select or anything since it's just a blank search box.
If I manually type the exact same entry into the address bar -- for instance, https://www.duckduckgo.com -- and load the page that way, the keyboard activates just fine once I click in the search box. It's only when loading the page via a bookmark that it doesn't work. I've tried both secure and non-secure versions of the pages and get the same results.
This only started happening once I upgraded to Marshmallow. Everything worked as expected before this when using bookmarks. And everything still works fine if I use bookmarked search engines in Chrome; only Firefox seems to be affected in this way.
I'll attach a couple of annotated screenshots to help visualize the problem.

The problem is completelly solved when I install some second application for this kind of file (*.zip in my case). It happens because in first case FF launches the file directly, but in second case - thru Resolver activity.

According to the OS monitor, the app used 43% of the full battery charge in this time. Using the standard browser provided on the phone, I use about 15% of the battery in the same time. What exactly is Fire fox doing while I am scrolling through a mostly text page?

i have 1.36GBs of data in storage, i have cleared cache and everything, removed sync (although never used it after 1st setup as it didn't work on my two PCs and i always have sync off on the phone except if i'm going to update android OS) and i'm about to "clear data" in app settings - storage, but have to get all my wanted bookmarks off the phone first. would like to know why it's so massive. it's been over a gig since before i first noticed it about 4 months ago, my phone is a nexus 4 which i've had for just over a year, using Firefox as primary web app, i've got phoney, fullscreen ,adblock plus and flash video downloader all which i installed at least a year ago. i'm guessing it might have something to do with why sync didn't work on my PCs, as all the bookmarks made it to my phone fine but the PCs would always crash after ages, then i would have to restore the bookmarks with xmarks. i do have over 10 years of PC bookmarks so i'm guessing the file could large causing these issues? if so is there an easy way to remove just the PC bookmarks? In firefox bookmarks they are in a folder but i can't delete any folders just individual bookmarks

At loss what to do at this point, if I can't get it fixed I'm switching firefox for chrome in a heartbeat because I keep losing so much time typing in extra information or deleting auto-fills information.
