Greetings,

I downloaded firefox portable to my computer about two years ago.

I then duplicated into several folders and worked with 4 separate firefox portable folders.

Recently when I tried to duplicate more portable firefox folders, I opened a browser with a very old version that is not up to date. When I try to update a version, I get a message that I'm on the latest version.

I would appreciate your help as I am trying to duplicate additional firefox portable folders and they are very necessary for my work.

Thank you for your time.

Regards, Maor

I’ve tried different syntaxes for these but cannot get either of these added as search engines for Focus. Have tried qwant.com/search?q=%s and many variants for this and metager. Have succeeded in adding to Firefox but no Focus. Syntax for Firefox does not work (for me) for Focus.

Just set up sync between OS and iOS for Firefox. All OS and Firefox up-to-date. One sync was successful. After that, changes made in bookmarks on OS were not reflected of iOS. Is this the way Firefox sync is designed, or is there something I can do to keep bookmarks synced after changes?

Also, my account devices after sync set-up gave my correct computer name but said I was located in Boardman, OR. Is this a security risk? How can this be changed?

Thank you.

Brad

In version 34.0, Firefox optimized an interactive operation, which is "Reduced the steps to search in a new tab by automatically popping up the keyboard". This is really bad for me, because I don't always have to search for things, I just want to open my bookmarks, or other options. This update allows me to click the back arrow in the upper left corner to open Firefox directly or to open a new tab (as shown in Figure 1). Is this a reduction step? By the way, if you want to search the web, if Firefox is set as the default browser, you only need to pull down the input content on the home screen and click Firefox to automatically enter Firefox to display the search results. Isn't it more convenient? And canceling this update will not make the search cumbersome, not at all, please see if the major browser apps have done so.

In addition, when you focus on the search, click on the place other than the keyboard and search bar, instead of canceling the search and returning to the default state, but directly entering the shortcut webpage, and if the action in the previous sentence is changed to sliding, the screen shown in Figure 2 appears. Interface, this is even worse, I have to click the arrow in the upper left corner again to return to the default state. In other words, I also need to prevent accidental touches. Only by clicking the damn arrow can I click my bookmarks or other options! Which browser will pop up the keyboard as soon as it is opened? Does anyone search for things as soon as they open the browser, or only open the browser when they want to search for something? If you really think it is very user-friendly, please add a switch to it, because some users don't like it.
Firefox is really great, but please don't let it become overbearing. Thank you very much.

Opened few links in new tubs. The next link attempt to open in the new tub, quits Firefox. Similarly, after number of opened tubs, an attempt to open new tub fails by quitting Firefox. Re-open Firefox points to the last tub opened.

The behavior noticed on an older iPad mini, iOS 12.5.3. Since both Firefox and iOS were updated at similar time frame, do not know which one is causing problem. The Safari browser does not have this problem.

Checked Firefox on Windows; it does not have this issue.

Past few days, am experiencing what research indicates is Bing redirect when using Firefox. Screen randomly redirects to what appears an unasked for, unknown search screen. Despite being unchecked, different search engine chosen in preferences, Firefox search bar shows "bing" as search platform. Have tried unsuccessfully methods found on net (unable to ID suspicious items via Finder-> Activity Monitor or find all files related to Bing). Also dumped, reinstalled Firefox, but Bing problem persisted (possibly because of asking that prior bookmarks, etc, be re-added?). Need help to proceed before canceling Firefox totally, losing years of stored info. Help, please!
