I need your help because i can't find solution to problem. On my macbooks air m1 i experience a very annoying thing: Often while i'm scrolling on websites smooth scroll animation get choppy/sluggish for few moments and lagging. It's like animation is FPS dropping during the scroll. I tried lot of things on both device:

- tried without extensions - created new profiles - use without syncing data - disabling hardware acceleration (gets worst) - disable smooth scroll in settings (get worst) - completely remove firefox with AppCleaner and reinstall it - Reinstall macOS and just install firefox alone. I tried latest Ventura and Sonoma

I don't have clue why this happening but ruin user experience very bad. With Safari everything is fine and smooth. On my wife's device (macbook air m3) have same issue.

Do you have any idea how can i fix it?

I had used and uninstalled Chrome, and others. All I have is FF and ME. Some times when I attempt to open a web page, FF fails and I have to use ME. But other times ME fails and I need to use FF. I recognize that all browsers other than FF are the same or similar basis. So, how can I stick with JUST FF. And not have to keep ME updated or active. Just let ME sit there unused. Why can't FF work with all web sites? Is the problem with them or with FF?

In the Firefox settings, it says "Account disconnected" so I click the sign in button, it opens the Mozilla website, and I successfully sign into my account online. Yet the browser still says disconnected. I've tried a few times. How do I fix this?

When I right click the taskbar and press close Firefox, here comes the interface just as the screenshot uploaded. The blue close button doesn't response no matter how I click it and the Firefox's taskbar is flashing yellow. This bug only occurs on the first window of Firefox and only when user right click the taskbar.

It has been a long time for me wishing that some updates would be released soon to fix this issue, while noting happens. Or this bug is only for me?

This has been happening for months now, on multiple devices (I have tried at least 3 different devices), and on multiple networks.

I have read the articles in here, but they just want me to check network configuration which is exactly the same for all browsers.

If I restart firefox it starts working again.

How can I prevent it from breaking randomly? This is the only browser having issues, I'm almost positive is some bug and not a configuration thing, given that it happens under multiple circumstances and devices, while Edge and Chrome simply keep working just fine.

There is no consistent repro I can give, afaik it is just random, at some point Firefox just decides to stop working and I have to restart it. This disrupts my work and browsing activities as I can lose progress on input forms and similar actions.

I upgraded to 115.9.0 to get OAuth for some, but not all, accounts. Those on Gmail & Yahoo are OAuth. I have non-OAuth accounts on a Zimbra server, and on Panix.com.

It prompts for the first account's password. TBird then gobbles all available CPU on the machine, and stays there. If I wait long enough, it becomes usable again, but that may well be hours.

However, once it calms down, it works normally.

Intertwined with this is: TBird rejects the Zimbra passwords as I enter them. I retry and retry, and then they succeed. I know the passwords are correct; I've even typed them out, and then copy&pasted them in. I'm not sure about the Panix account, if its password works the first time or not.

I tried restarting in troubleshooting mode; it made no difference.

I can receive emails to my (protonmail.com server) email account on Thunderbird. But I cannot send emails. This is the error message. "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Error: no such user. Please check the message and try again."

I see my original question is now archived at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1380948#question-reply I never closed it because I didn't know if my last process could really fix the issue. It didn't, not always. Over the years, there have been times when the issue would still pop up, but not as often as before (2022 and earlier).

I have a feeling that during an issue, FF is having difficulty setting up shop after starting up. Consequently, it is spending more time before it could become prepared to connect to the Net. I've come up with another "solution," which is deleting (or moving out) xulstore.json in the profile folder after exiting or before starting FF. You can create a batch command or script to execute the process.

So far, FF is connecting immediately after startup.

I was a bit surprised that I found some mozilla kraken benchmark 1.1 results that were somewhat better than mine (despite being done on the same mobile SoC as mine)

I then read closely that the better score was made on the Chrome Mobile browser.

I then installed Chrome on my mobile and also suddenly got results which average were about 25 - 28 % better than when I ran Kraken in Firefox Is that to be expected? Or can I do something to make my firefox just as fast?

When i use mozilla in android 13 tablet, and i click on the 3-dot menu while the address bar is set to appear in bottom of screen, i cannot see the full 3-dot menu neither can i scroll to the end of it -only half od it appears. When the address bar is set at the top of the screen,the problem does not exist in landscape view. Please fix it

I recently have gotten a message about manually updating Firefox on my Windows 11 system. Even after I updated, I then I started getting the same message and also "Failed to check for updates" in the Firefox "about" box and settings page.

I even went about uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it while deleting the Firefox Program Files and user AppData directories. I also checked for a Windows Firewall entry for the program.

Is there something in another directory or registry setting I need to delete or change? Or does Firefox use a different program for updating that needs a firewall rule?

latest 124.0.2 causing severe problems, it will near instantly bloat to fill all RAM and SWAP even in safe mode causes system load over 24! only solution is to reboot very problematic on for ex: https://epg.pw/xmltv/epg_CA.xml hard to get a screencap since system is nearly totally unresponsive. PC is an Apply Mac Book Pro running latest operating system software: Sonoma 14.4.1 ... after installing 14.4.1, Thunderbird slowed down in all facets: loading mail, opening selected mail, deleting mail, etc. Anyone else experiencing this issue, if so, were you able to resolve it and how? I'm running thunderbird on ubuntu 22.04 connected to external samba shares. I've used local folders on this remote location (samba shares) for may years. Two days ago, when I've try to move message from mailbox to local folders I've received error "not enough disk space". There was a plenty of space on that remote location. After several attempts to solve the issue I've found that problem happened when local folders are located remotely. When they are defined as local then everything work fine. I've try to cheat making symbolic link for local folders or even for single subfolder. Result is the same. Everything work fine if local folders are located locally on file system. Any remote location, direct or via symbolic link and even for subfolder, don't allow to move any message to that remote folder. There is enough space and proper R/W access tho that remote location from this machine. How I can return to my normal operation with local folders on remote location?

I encountered a phenomenon like this:

• When I logged in to the application, in the tab I was working on, the Firefox session memory was lost (don't open new tabs)

Steps: 1. Login to the application 2. Operate on the screen 3. Navigate to other URLs, but still on this tab 4. Session storage was lost

What is the cause of this phenomenon? How can I fix it?

Thunderbird - Problem

My email address is: finnvebirk@webspeed.dk (alias: evab@webspeed.dk ) I have used Thunderbird email for many years. I have archive folders with more than 50 folders and sub-folders. Overall, I have several thousand emails in my archive folders.

After I wanted to create a sub-folder and move it to another location, the following has happened: All my folders and sub-folders are mixed together and arranged in a changed order. All emails in my archive folders and sub-folders have disappeared - all folders are completely empty. I think maybe a folder called 'Local folders' has disappeared. It is no longer possible to move emails from the Inbox to the empty folders. NOTE: Inbox, Sent and Trash still works.

Question-1: What happened ? What can I do ? Can I recover all my emails in the archive folders ?

Question-2: Can I restore my Thunderbird mail system as it was, e.g. 2 weeks ago ?

Question-3: As an emergency plan (if all my emails are lost !): Can I reset Thunderbird without deleting mails in Inbox, Sent and Trash ? If Yes – How do I do that ?

On the Firefox Android app, after closing few tabs, exiting the application and re-entering the application, the closed tabs reappears as if they weren't closed at all. I found this is a well known bug and there are few open threads on bugzilla on this topic. Someone said that's related to a corruption of the closed tabs' json file.

PS. It's difficult to share a screenshot, probably a video is more explanatory
