Certificate problem accessing an internal company website

I am trying to reach an internal company website (www.gqma.drw), with a certificate chain rooted in a company certificate authority. This works fine in Chrome, and worked… (funda kabanzi)

I am trying to reach an internal company website (www.gqma.drw), with a certificate chain rooted in a company certificate authority. This works fine in Chrome, and worked in Firefox on my previous computer. But i recently got a new machine, and something somewhere is not quite right. I get an error message looking like this (between the ~~~s):

~~~ Someone could be trying to impersonate the site and you should not continue.

Web sites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust www.gqma.drw because its certificate issuer is unknown, the certificate is self-signed, or the server is not sending the correct intermediate certificates.

If i click 'View Certificate', i get a chain of three certificates:

If i go to Settings > Privacy & Security > View Certificates > Authorities, i can find both the SSDNS CA and ISS Root CA certificates. As far as i can tell, they are identical - i can open the certificate from 'View Certificate' and the corresponding one from the certificate manager and flip between tabs, and all the details are the same.

I am using Firefox 120.0, via a flatpak, on Ubuntu 22. I have given the flatpak access to /etc/ssl/certs, where my company's internal CA certificates are located.

To me, this seems like it should all work. The server has a certificate signed by an internal CA, which is signed by another internal CA, and both those internal CA certificates are in my certificate manager. So what is going wrong? Is there any way i can debug this?

My question is did you know the Thunderbird is getting worse and worse? You would like money from user meanwhile you don't take care what users want?

The new Supernova is a big crap: - multiple folders can't be selected in the same time - Customized icon function also has been removed - TB always makes folders' file corrupted, folders always must be repaired time to time - TB time to time gets stuck during email sending and when I restart TB it removes the email from the Draft so I lose my already written email - TB always turns on f*cking Threads view on all news folder but Thread view is disabled - TB always uses Correspondents column instead of "From", "Recipient" and "Size", I can't set a customized default view. - I always have to restart the TB after a few days because it becomes very slow

Since Supernova has been released we almost each day got calls from our clients and complain about TB why it is getting more useless day by day. So it is a sad story but true.

When I bring up a changed website, I see the previous version or the one before that half the time. Rebooting PC does not clear it. Am tired of playing browser roulette, trying to find a browser which will A. Show the latest version. [which is being displayed on other people's devices] B. Perform the desired action as designed by the product creator [which works on other servers and devices, and even sometimes on my device using another browser] I am not skilled at seeing physically thru other people's eyes, only imaginatively. My partner is 200 miles away in another state. We don't always see the same, even when the display is identical. Am starting to create 2 versions of sites, a .org and a .com and explaining to people WHY. I think the "don't save" does not work. It merely turns off creating an index of the viewed material and leaves the viewed material in cache. And re-displays the initial data eveytime, no matter how many updates. Thank you.

NONE OF THE LINKS IN THUNDERBIRD WORK. I have to right click, copy the link, open Chrome and paste the link. The same problem exists with all browsers so the problem is clearly with Thunderbird.

I cannot get screen share, webcam share, microphone share to work with my default profile. I get a Cross Origin Request Blocked. If I create a new profile everything works as it should even if I install all the same plugins. I have tried changing security..cross_origin in about:config and it makes no difference.

I have a lot of tab groups and sorting in my default profile, so I'd prefer not to have to set that up in a new profile. Importing to a new profile ends me up with the same issue as above.

This error is profile specific and I am wondering if anyone knows the specific profile files that I could regenerate, delete or replace to tackle this cross origin blocking.

Also I've disabled all my plugins, and enhanced tracking protection on the default profile and it still does not work..

I am a long time Thunderbird user and have not seen it slow down this much. I try to check mail and it takes an inordinate amount of time. Then, when I think it has received the new mails, I click on one and that takes a long time to display the message. If I send a message, putting the sent mail to the sent mail box is a long wait, it may even fail although I could see it on Gmail in the Web browser. If I switch to a new folder, I see the message on the status bar telling me sending login information, and the wait continues. Why does it send the login credentials if it is not closed only to look in a different folder?

I am using version 115.5.1 on a gigabit connection. This happens on my laptop, MS Surface Studio Laptop, and my desktop computer with more power. The laptop uses WiFi and the desktop is cabled Gigabit Ethernet.

It is pushing me to look into alternative e-mail clients, I hope I can remain with TB.

Hello, I have a very odd problem with my firefox browser. I am running firefox 88 64bit on a 16.04 (I know...) Ubuntu. On certain websites, I have an issue with interactive content: www.leboncoin.fr will not let me login anymore (quite recent) www.decathlon.fr will have trouble displaying user comments, images, let alone placing an order Now and then websites with dynamic content and forms will not load...

I am not sure what is the link between all these but it seems related. I have tried the troubleshoot mode but it does not change anything. At the moment when I need to use these king of website I have to switch to another browser.

If i try to watch amazon prime video, Firefox crashes the whole system (no further action possible). Taskmanager does nothing, CPU is on 100%. Badly there is no crash report or Firefox log - maybe because the whole system is freezing completely. Widevine has been loaded correctly.

I tried Opera and there is no problem. I tried also 4 several PCs - always the same. Firefox crashes the whole system, Opera is working without problems. I didn´t try Edge or Chrome - i didn´t want to "rubbish" my system ;-)

Sure, i could use Opera, but ... my favorite is Firefox for all the years ;-) The failure appears with version 1.11 - earlier versions had no problem. I´ve only installed privacy badger and no other plugin or extension. Also DRM and widevine is activated. Reinstalling (after registry and install cleanup) didn´t solve the problem. And, yes, i have all recent updates on Windows 10, graphic card driver and Firefox.

The support of Amazon: "no idea" ;-(

Any suggestions ? ;-)

Steps I have taken is clearing data, history and cache on pc, turning off mcafee firewall. I use my pc through a wired Internet connection and my phone through Wi-Fi and data and it's the same on both I can't access the website. Like I mentioned I can access it no problems through Microsoft Edge on my pc and Samsung Internet app on my phone so I have now pinpointed it to Mozilla Firefox being the issue, also this is the only website I have issues with. Most of the email folders I exported from MS Outlook 2007 (using MailStore) appeared correctly in Thunderbird, but some folders have no emails in them. When I look at the profile, these folders do not have a corresponding .msf file, which I gather is the Thunderbird indexing file. I have tried exporting these folders separately, but that doesn't seem to work at all; no new profile seems to be created so nothing gets updated in Thunderbird. I have attached a screen shot and can provide others as required. I am a volunteer for Balance & Dizziness Canada and some of the folders I need to export to Thunderbird have a lot of emails and are important for me to have available to refer back to. Regardless, at some point, something got corrupted and it ask me to create a new account rather than showing all my old ones. I was able to import into seamonkey and it has all my accounts and folders. Thunderbird has the emails e.g. if I search it will pop, but the accounts/folders aren't showing. I might have updated Thunderbird as well but I can't tell you if that was part of me trying to fix or before, possibly a cause?

I need to get this fixed. I don't want to move either profile completely as I don't have a large drive anyway and now, many of the emails are duplicated. Can I try replacing files? Which file(s) hold account info... even if I try importing...I need to avoid moving emails.... I'll just run out of room...maybe it was while updating... I just don't know it's been a few days...

Can someone confirm that the default-release directory ...is the profile directory? This help isn't organized well, so searching brings up old answers that may or may not be valid for my release. I know, I have the information and I don't want to start over...

After applying the latest updates to Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS today, I find that ThunderBird will load and then enter a busy state where the system asks if I want to terminate or wait for ThunderBird.

After waiting quite some time, it is apparent that perhaps it is in vain. I have tried a few different versions: The initially installed: 115.5.0 The latest: 121.0b1 and previous: 115.4.3

All seem to exhibit similar behavior with my previously working profile.

The program loads, the preview screen draws, an open tab appears to try to load, and a few seconds after launch, things hang up.

Anyone else noticing issues?

I researched to find the problem and the only option I found was to add an exclusion to the profile folder on my windows security antivirus. Now I can select emails from the imbox and delete them without a problem, but my concern is if I will be vulnerable to virus.
