(The following is translated by Google Translate) I am an Android user. In the web page, click the password input box, the web page will automatically enlarge and automatically move the password input box to the center of the screen. Firstly, I do not like this design. Secondly, there are some problems with the automatic enlargement of the web page, for example, the web page will be fixed after enlargement and cannot be narrow, then, the page automatically enlarge, causing 1Password's floating window to misplace,(1password is a password manager),When you click the password input box,1password's floating window will appear,However, at this time, the web page of Firefox will automatically enlarge when entering the password, and automatically center the password box,but the floating window of 1password won't move, and it remains in place, and then there was a problem. In addition to these two problems, there is another small problem,All in all, I don't like this design, not only because I don't like it, but also because it has many problems. Therefore,I hope that we can turn off the automatic enlargement of the webpage, turn off automatic center the password box on the screen

I switched to Firefox from yandex browser recently on both desktop and android recently and have been really enjoying it, but pages on android 11 (galaxy a52) load very slow for some reason. It is much slower than yandex, and i find it weird, because it's the other way around on desktop, and i've heard good things about firefox's speed as well. Maybe the issue isn't in the browser. I run latest version of it, and tried google search and duck duck go. It was alright on google, still slower, but bearable. On ddg it's just barely working. The internet speed is fine, and i don't use any vpn or proxy. Speed remains slow both using wifi and cellular.

HI After using Chrom for num of years I have now reverted (upgarded!?) for Firefox. However what's casuing me to regret my decision is the layout og Gmail in the browswer. Most of the labels and text are surround by a white Highlight or box which looks ugly. I have exhauste dverything I know to get the text to look like Gmail in Chrome with no success. See attached screen shot of comparison. Could you please give some idea so That I can stay with Firefox Kind regards Chris

I have been using using the new "Proton" Interface for a while now and still cannot get used to the ridiculous look.

My Questions: 1) Who designed it? Was it a colaboration between Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles?

2) When changing a design (in such a bad way) why on Earth wouldn't you leave the option to revert to the previous version

3) Why was it changed??? I think this is the most pertinent question. I work in software Development (have done for over 25 years) and it smacks of a department trying to show they are adding value to a product... for the sake of it.

Modern Software Devs have a knack of fixing things that are not broke and redisigning the look of software instead of fixing the bugs in the core of the system.

thanks

When typing, for example an email in office 365 webmail, approx 1 in 10 characters is missed. This happens in every session and after reboots. It doesn't seem to matter if i am typing slowly or quickly, and it happens in an incognito browser window too. I am certain that key-presses are being sent, they are just not reflected reliably in the browser. There are more than enough resources available for firefox.

Most of the others topics apply here. You override preferences and other serivices to install updates I don't want or need and more -- Firefox now wants ALL of your personal information, which iif you don't comply, creates conflicts with every other program. I just bought this lapper a year ago and already had to reinstall WIn 10 twice. I am one inch away from going with Google Chrome, which is just as bad but at least doesn't conflict with Windows, which is equally as invasive and worthless. I'm not a brain surgeon able to digest your "tools" in developer-ese. Help!

The tabs, history, and bookmarks are not syncing on my Android device. Whenever I try to sync my tabs, it just says "Syncing..." but nothing happens. It also asks me to enable tab syncing but I can't enable it because it's greyed out. When I try to send tabs from my Android to my PC, it says offline even though I have a strong internet connection. When I check my connected devices on my PC, it recognizes that my Android is signed in. It just won't sync.

Things that I've tried: - Signing out then signing in again on the device - Uninstalling then reinstalling firefox on my Android - Switching from mobile data to wifi

None of these have worked. This is a firefox feature that I've been using for a while and I rely on it quite a lot so it would be great if someone could help me with this. Thanks!

I would like to name my credit cards ("Irl's AMEX", "B's auto Visa"). Safari allows this but Firefox doesn't seem to. Or at least I can't find it. Basically, when I view a saved credit card, instead of seeing, e.g., "****1234 2025-01" I'd like to see a text entry which I can edit. I'm even willing to do a bit of fancy footwork (add something to the .plist, say). OS X High Sierra, 10.13.6.

So i just started having issues where my pc is starting to hot and won't boot up fully. I am working on that but i can hook up the ssd i have in that computer to another work computer that i have but it does not have all of my work stuff since i have been working from home due to covid. Is it possible to load up the session i had on my original ssd that is now currently going to be setup as an external drive for my work computer until i can fix my home pc? I ask because i had alot of tabs open with work related stuff that i had not bookmarked at the time so i really need to restore that session so i can recover that work. Any help would be much appreciated.

For years I've had the same problem of basic resets on my custom settings everytime Firefox updates. I've read hundreds of posts, complaints and suggestions.

The best suggestions I've found are to use both userContent.css and changes to the about:config file. I have actually created a .txt file of unique about:config lines and settings so I can copy, paste, and set to my settings without having to look everything back up again. It still takes me 10 minutes, but at least it gets done my way.

A solution I think all of us would love to see are simple instructions on how to back up the current about:config settings and reinstate them AFTER an update so our choices stay as we want them. This shouldn't be too difficult. Export settings are available for all kinds of parts of Firefox, Thunderbird and add-ons. How about making that a priority in the next update?

Firefox version: 95.0.1 x64 on Linux Mint 19.1, running in safe-mode

As title says, the 'Mobile Bookmarks' folder synced from a Firefox Android aren't saved when exporting the bookmarks to an HTML file. They ARE saved during 'Backup to a JSON' but HTML with 20,000 bookmarks is much easier to edit than a JSON (unless anyone has a handy and quick JSON editor recommendation?).

So bug, or notbug?

I always have automatic updates enabled, using latest Firefox version. I have enabled the options 'Open Previous Windows and tabs' or in earlier versions it was 'restore previous sessions' on my system windows 10 pro from past 2 years.

I have lost about 15+ precious tabs in firefox (1 week of my research work). Even in history it is not showing those tabs.

I was doing my research work / thesis, gone through about 500+ webpages / articles and selected the best, and aligned the tabs in sequence. Today i have opened the 'Private Window' doing some surfing, After few minutes I closed my 'Firefox window of research' as that was using 'too much' amount of ram. After 15 minutes i have closed the 'Private Window' also.

When i opened firefox again all my tabs of Research Windows (1 week of my work) are gone, not even in history.

I must be using Google Chrome for that because chrome does not have any issues with 'Restoring Sessions' with 'Incognito Window'.
