Hi, I'm running into trouble with my Firefox on Android as it grows bigger and bigger in terms of storage space. Now my device is full and I can't even update apps anymore.
Most of my apps can be moved to external SD card. I have heaps of space there. But Firefox does not allow to be moved (under app settings, storage). So I am wondering, why does Firefox not allow moving? Why does it have to sit on my internal device storage and block everything else?
Please change that setting in the app so I can move Firefox to external storage and free up my (little) internal device memory. Or do I have to buy a new phone just to use Firefox? Or rather use a different browser...
Thanks!

Between two Win10 Home PCs, both used to have all my Saved Logons, but somehow one PC has dropped them all. Both PCs do use Firefox Sync between successfully, but while that synchronizes Bookmarks (& whatever else), evidently NOT "Saved Logons". So, isn't there some way to EXPORT all of them to a file, to then IMPORT them to my other PC? Incidentally, within Saved Logons, there is a button named IMPORT, but it's used is only for importing from 3 other designated browsers, and apparently on the self-same PC. Searching Firefox Support was a waste of time ... their 'results' are just wide nets of hundreds of irrelevant things, no matter how precise I attempt each search. Bad support job on self-help, Mozilla.

I am having trouble running Firefox 68.2.0 on a fresh install of CentOS 7.7.1908. This happens whether or not a .mozilla/ directory exists. The problem happens when I invoke Firefox from the command line with or without the "-safe-mode" switch. No Firefox window come up.
Here's what the process listing looks like:
[cgr@mypc ~]$ ps -ef | grep firefox | grep -v grep cgr 14109 12544 0 13:04 pts/2 00:00:00 /usr/lib64/firefox/firefox cgr 14118 14109 0 13:04 pts/2 00:00:00 [firefox] <defunct> [cgr@mypc ~]$ kill -KILL 14109 [cgr@mypc ~]$ ps -ef | grep firefox | grep -v grep [cgr@mypc ~]$

I must use the -KILL switch to kill the program.
Any ideas on how to fix this problem>?
Thanks, cgr

I get it Mozilla, you want us to update Firefox. But it's my computer and I want to choose when to do it. Stop with the multiple notifications and bring back the ability to turn them off.
Anyone know of a hack that will turn these off? Other threads on the subject have been turned off, with no real solution. Thank you.

I set up an "App shortcut" hotkey in macOS's System Preferences binding ⌘⇧N (command+shift+N) to "New Private Window", but it doesn't work - when I press the key combination, a new *non-private* browser window opens instead.
In the first attached image, you can see the shortcut configured in the `Shortcuts` pane of macOS' System Preferences application.
In the second image, you can see Firefox's `File` menu open, and verify that the shortcut is correctly assigned to "New Private Window", where it has replaced the default ⌘⇧P.
However, as I said above, the custom key combination doesn't work - it seems to in fact trigger the regular "New Window", which is still the default ⌘N (command+N, no shift key).
Any one know if this is a known issue, and if there are any solutions?
Using a different key combination is not useful for me, since I'm trying to switch from Chrome and have ⌘⇧N very ingrained in my behavior (I pretty much always use private windows unless I need to log in to a site or explicitly want the history saved). If I can't have ⌘⇧N then I might as well just try to adjust to the default ⌘⇧P.
The fact that executing the shortcut brings up a non-private window makes the whole thing much worse - I'm ending up using non-private windows when I think I'm using private ones :/

So how do I get Firefox to function correctly?

One of the pages I regularly visit has made an interesting choice. Because all the visitors come from a known list, instead of offering a username field, a plain <select> element is used, together with a standard password field.
This means that Firefox's password manager only saves and autofills my password, meaning I have to select my name every time. That gets mildly annoying. Is there some way to add the value (either the text value or that of the value attribute) of this <select> to the username-password entry and have Firefox autofill it?
I can whip up an example website if my description isn't clear enough.

I am not using Firefox Monitor, and I am running Firefox 66. I just visited a website, and was told via a popup message in the address bar there had been a breach back in 2010, exposing thousands of passwords. (And of course it suggested I sign up for Firefox Monitor to get details.)
I am wondering how Firefox knew that it should show me that message? Does it regularly download a list of breached sites, or is every site I visit being sent to Mozilla so they can check to see whether it's on a breach list?
I'm hoping it's not the latter as I never agreed to share my browsing history with Mozilla, or anyone else, but I can't find any information about how the browser maintains its list of breached sites.
