why can't I bookmark any page? it won't let me, it does it on all versions up to 59.0

FF updated this morning and afterward I have no bookmarks in my bookmark toolbar. They are still under Bookmarks in the drop down menu, and the bookmark toolbar space for them is still there just empty, and it will not allow me to put them back. I have restarted FF with all addons disabled in safe mode and they did not return. I have disabled the addons one at a time, and nothing. I have opened the toolbar menu and clicked and moved everything that says bookmarks to no avail.
Any other ideas?

Since last Mozilla update to version 23.0 my check-spelling isn't working anymore. I seem to be miss-writing every word, as all of them are being underlined.
How do I solve this problem? I do not want to change to another crappy browser just because I can't use a check-spelling add-on...
Just as a side note, this whole thing was working on version 22, and I don't quite understand why it isn't now. I just want to see this fixed, please help? Thanks in advance.

When I was open firefox again I got message firefox already running. After opening Task manager firefox process is there but many times I was try to kill but firefox can't kill after I need to only hard reboot. It happen many times in a day. I was uninstall and install many times.

Firefox is my preferred browser as it has best support for plug-ins/add-ons that I use. Unfortunately the devs have a tendency to change features or major components very often (once a month), frequently breaking said plugins, and sometimes even basic functionality or interfaces. It has gotten to the point where I just stick with whatever last major version didn't change. I did update to test them out a lot, but then I just usually end up rolling back.
I do want to maintain the latest security updates, but I am sick of "new" or "changed" features that I do not need, not to mention addons breaking.
So I searched around and found ESR builds, which seem perfect for my needs. The issue is, the mozilla website makes a lot of fuss about it being for organisations, so I'm not entirely sure it can be used for personal use? There's registration and stuff. Are there any extra settings or stuff I need to change/disable if it's for personal use?
Also, is version 33 the last version before the GUI changes listed here? I want to use the last version before these, but I'm open to suggestions. Currently considering v38.0 ESR. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/learn-more-about-the-design-of-new-firefox

The default options as you know, are "always", "click" and "disabled", which is insufficient. I want to have it be "always" under any youtube page, but "click" for everywhere else.
And please don't give me messages about "update your stuff", you're wasting both your own and my time, we've all heard it before.

Here is an example of the crash report https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/2f270314-5a13-4a65-b1cd-10d332150425 It looks that it is caused by Cisco VPN, so I disabled this service. However, crashes still happen. I am running out of options what to do and would appreciate your help.
