Hello!

I would like to develop an application that runs continuously, say, at a panel found in a kiosk. I am considering designing it as a webpage that runs locally through the browser but I would like to prevent the users from interacting with the OS or closing the tab and the browser. Is there a way to lock Firefox in full screen and hide the exit buttons? Alternatively, do you have another recommendation for development that is more appropriate, for instance a native app?

About 1 week ago Firefox with Windows 11 stopped displaying YouTube video comments. I've tried other browsers and I can see the comments.

I only have 6 extensions and have disabled all of them and still have the problem. With Firefox in safe mode the problem goes away and I can see the comments. I've cleared the Firefox cache and hardware acceleration is off. I have the standard themes and using the default system theme-auto.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem? Thank you.

Hello, I'm using samsung odyssey g7 32' monitor connected to my laptop with a rtx 2060. The monitor is connected with a minidisplay port to display port cable. The problem doesn't occur on the laptop screen but it does on the samsung screen. The flickering stops when i make the window a little smaller. I am using KDE plasma 6.0.3 but the problem was also present when i was using Hyprland as my desktop enviroment. I tried troubleshoot mode but nothing changed. I am seeking help. Thanks.

I am aware I can change my homepage and will do so. But I just wanted to share how terrible the firefox homepage is. I am just shown an array of negative stories as soon as I open mozilla firefox.

When editing in Gmail, holding a key down does NOT repeat the character or action. e.g. xxxxx when holding down the "x" or deleting multiple characters when holding down the <Backspace> key.

It works properly in other apps (e.g. this dialogue).

And works okay in Gmail in other browsers (e.g. Chromium or Brave).

I'm using Firefox 124 on Linux Mint 20.1.

System: Kernel: 5.4.0-174-generic x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 9.4.0

I have Firefox on 3 devices, I deleted several passwords from 1 device expecting this change to sync to the other 2 devices. Instead for several days the 2 devices showed the original number of passwords whilst the device I made the changes on showed the new amount. Now that device appears to have resynced the passwords I deleted. Am I supposed to delete them on each device?

I have the latest version of FF on all devices.

When I try to detach a tab, so that it's a new window, by dragging the tab downward so it isn't on the tab bar. After I let go a new window is created for that tab that I dragged, however it also maximizes the window, which disorients my work flow. Is there any way I can detach a tab into a new window and not have it maximized automatically?

I am attempting to copy values from one google sheet to another and am unable to do so effectively as whenever I press crtl +shift + c I open the the developer tools. All my efforts on looking for a solution have lead me to unsupported extensions so I'm stuck wondering what to do.

My home screen and all other browsing screens are so high and wide that I can't scroll down because the side slide bar is not on the screen. I have no idea how this happened! I can't find any articles that help me reduce the screen size that I can understand. There seems to be no solution option in firefox settings to adjust the screen size. The View tab does not help because it just offers zooming of the data on the screen, not the actual size of the screen.

I'm using

• Firefox DevEd (manually installed) as my primary driver and
• the standard Firefox (installed from the package manager) for leisure/hobby related browsing

each with its own Mozilla account and profile, on Manjaro KDE. Sadly, either Firefox sees all the profiles. They have usually different versions. If I mistakenly start one of the Foxes in the other Fox's profile, the newer version of Firefox (usually Firefox DevEd) autostarts migrating that profile. Which it renders the profile "corrupted" for its intended Firefox.

I'd like to have Firefox DevEd unable to see profiles (or anything else) intended for the standard Firefox and vice versa. Or at least unable to botch profiles. I do not want to disable migration or use no. Given that Firefox configuration location is hard-coded, I'm not having high hopes for my wish.

I'm wondering if there is a way to keep two Firefox installations completely isolated, other than running them in containers.

My Firefox Browser on (Windows 11) updated on 23rd March 2024. Now my History and Bookmarks have been deleted (but not cookies for some reason). yes, it is my correct profile as I checked the dates and also double checked it against a backup I made 2 weeks ago.

Have included an image of my 'more troubleshooting information' details - I'm sure this is supposed to have more data on the page?

If there is no way to recover my hisotry and bookmarks, I see there in my profile folder is a 'bookmarksbackup' folder which contains .jsonlz4 files, one of which was saved on the 21st March 2024. I know book marks are .json files, can anyone tell me how to turn a .jsonlz4 file to a .json?

[Oh, I pressed to add here my 'troubleshooting information' as directed by this forum page and it said it couldn't automatically do it, and when I pressed 'manual', it opened that over this page and so when I pressed 'back' it had naturally deleted this post so I've had to retype everything from memory, thanks so much Mozilla for that. There used to be 4 root folders in my bookmarks toolbar on PC: bookmarks toolbar, bookmarks menu, other bookmarks and mobile bookmarks. Recently I noticed the "mobile bookmarks" folder is gone. That is where bookmarks saved in the default folder on mobile were synced. What happened?

I press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+i and then press on the top left icon, but then I can only have one click to identify an element. What to do if I need two or three clicks to get to an element?

On my Windows-11 Laptop, the Vertical-Scroll-Bars in Firefox are too narrow for me to use comfortably. I am struggling with the Touch-Pad, Mouse Pointers, causing the frequently needed act of Scrolling to become a dreaded ordeal? I have migrated from old MacPro to new Mac Studio. Firefox ESR version 115.9 has migrated with it. I've downloaded the latest Firefox but it operates independently of the ESR version. How do I ensure new version has all log in, contacts and history?

The site opens, I can click to open an email but no content is shown. Starting Firefox in safe mode...same thing.

Works fine on Edge.

A month ago it was I couldn't delete or mark any emails read. Then that just started working again.

The upload photo button does nothing... on this page, on Reddit, Facebook too. I've tried clearing cache. I'm on latest android and firefox 124.2.0. I have standard security enabled and permission is set to "Ask" for camera and storage. How do I make this work again?

I am trying to edit /etc/hosts file. CLI utils respect the values that provided there, Chrome also.

But the Firefox continues to ignore. I have disabled "Enable DNS over HTTPS using:" and turned it off.

But it doesn't help. What else could be done?

For some reason, in my firefox profile, when I try to access "https://accounts.google.com", it open on new tab with a specific container, while other url keep open with no container. I've never configure this behavior, or found a setting to fix it. It only happen on my current firefox profile. If I create new profile, this problem didnt occurs.
