According to this support page (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/sync-custom-preferences#), setting ``services.sync.prefs.dangerously_allow_arbitrary`` to True will sync all my preferences.

I have set it to true on the two devices I want to sync (2 desktops, Windows and Ubuntu). However, the preferences are not synced. For example, ``browser.compactmode.show`` keeps its default value "False" on my Ubuntu installation, despite it having the modified value "True" on my Windows installation.

I have tried pressing "Sync now", and restarting the browsers - to no avail.

Could anyone tell me what am I doing wrong?

Buttons like 3 bar preferences button, notification etc are broken or not visible just the highlight is visible and click the notification button also break the whole browser

Google sponsored links (those on top of a Google search for a product) not working in Firefox, works in Chrome and Edge. The example link below uses googleadservices.com, which appears to be the problem. When trying to load that link, Firefox does nothing. The same link plugged into either Chrome or Edge works fine. This is a REAL PITA!

Firefox 116.0.3 (64-bit) do not paste in whatsapp web and other applications exemple I copy an image and want to past it in whatsapp web nothing but it work in brave browser...

When I am typing in a search request in google, the type disappears frequently and I cannot even correct it because the whole line disappears. I thought this was happening when I misspelled a word but it seems to happen in other situations also. This is very annoying.

Hi, with reference to the above subject, the Tumblr, outlook and other sites do not display photos/ text, operate properly etc. All these applications work fine on other devices, Apple ios. The firefox has been restarted several times and also pc as well. No new installation or any other major change has been done. Thanks

My Mac (desktop) crashed and after that, my bookmarks disappeared. I redownloaded Firefox and logged in, but I could not find my bookmarks. So I tried to rebuild my bookmark toolbar but realized all the websites were already bookmarked (each bookmark star was blue).

Just to experiment, I opened Firefox from the external location (that is used for external hard drives, etc.) WITHOUT DOWNLOADING to the Applications on my Mac. Then I could fully see my bookmarks.

This is good but I have to open Firefox on the external location every time I restart my Mac or change the user.

How can I access my bookmarks in the downloaded Firefox as normal?

New York times articles briefly load and then disappear on one iMac. I think it is associated with the fact that the New York Times ads are missing or haven't loaded on that iMac. On our other iMac, New York Times articles load fine and the ads are present. I've looked in the Firefox settings on both and can't find any significant differences differences that would create this problem.

hello! i'm looking for a way to adjust the settings, if there are any, to copy and paste PNG images with firefox and keep their transparency intact -- rather than the solid black it has now. as i understand it there's been similar issues as of 8 months ago, but i'm unsure if anything else has changed in that time.

i'm not a full-on graphic designer or anything but i do use this fairly often as an artist to look at references and such, and as someone who's recently switched to firefox from chrome (which does support this feature) i'd like to know if it's as easy as clicking something in a menu or if that's not an option altogether. thank you in advance to anyone willing to help!

Ever since the latest FF update each time I start/re-start FF I need to resignin to Dashlane. Honestly this hasn't happened in over 20 years. I haven't been able to find any similar reports. Has and/or can anyone explain why and hopefully provide an answer/work around? Thanks anyone/everyone.

Since the FF update to 116.0.2 (64-bit) I am unable to save images from a very specific part of Ancestry.com. The database is the U.S., School Yearbooks, 1900-2016. All of the other image databases on Ancestry download without issue, and I am able to download the Yearbook images using Edge, so this appears to be a Firefox issue, especially as it began immediately following the most recent update.

The Yearbook images do differ from the others in that you are given an option to download two images as a zip file, or just a single image, but neither option results in the Save As dialogue appearing, and the images do not download anywhere.

This is a very strange issue, but maybe someone familiar with the most recent update could have some insight as to what has been changed that might have this impact.

Any website. File explorer window doesn't even appear. It just crashes instantly.

Various tasks have no effect , eg entering 'Duolingo.com' in the search field has no effect. Nothing is returned (screen remains blank - no messages). No problem with other search entries Also attempted link to my bank account similarly froze. End up by switching to Msoft Edge and completing my mission.

I can't figure out why Firefox Focus for Android is opening Amazon links by default. It isn't set as the default browser, as far as I can tell it doesn't have anything set to open by default. Usually I have the option to choose which browser to open a link with because I have multiple browsers installed.

I'm using a Galaxy s22 Ultra running Android 13. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I am Member of a motorcyle forum which allows You Tube videos to be embedded in Forum posts.

When I try to view a video, the initial video Thumbnail can be seen, but clicking the screen to play the video just results in the "spinning wheel" and the video never starts to play.

If I click "Watch on You Tube", a new Firefox browser tab opens and the video plays on the You Tube web site without any issues.

If I use a different Browser such as Chrome to view the Forum web site, I can click on the embedded video and it wil play within the Forum web site.

I can no longer 'Select all' of a simple html table displayed in the browser. The header lines won't select no matter what I try. The browser only allows the body lines to be selected, and subsequently copyied.

My Firefox Desktop browser is showing the mobile versions of some websites.

In another thread, it is suggested to clear cookies to fix this which I did and it does fix it first but it comes back to mobile version again.

I have browsed those websites on Microfot Edge and it displays them as normal with no issues.

Screenshots attahced for websites, hepsiburada.com and temu.com Strangely, both are shopping websites.

While reconnecting one of my computers to my Firefox account I saw at the top of the Settings Page: "Your settings are being managed by your organization". Problem is that I don't belong to any organizations or enterprises having anything to do with my online life. I have been hacked in the past and am paranoid when I see something that doesn't make sense. When I click on the link (trusting that it is indeed from you), it takes me to your Enterprise Policy page showing the following:

I always use secure DNS (DOH or DOT) on everything - network adapters, routers (except the ISP one whose default I can't figure out to circumvent) etc. but on the browser setting pages I am only given the option of having it off: the default, increased, and max protection options are greyed out and cannot be chosen. I guess that explains the policy values but who locked it? My only guess is that is use a Surfshark VPN and realize that in so doing I am using Surfshark's DNS servers but I believe I had this problem before using the VPN. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

I have set four custom URLs to open each time I use my main Firefox profile - this works well. (I have several different profiles I use for different roles and sets of logins).

I frequently open new windows to hold a set of associated tasks.

If I specifically open a link into a new window, the new window only has that one tab - all good.

However, if I just open a new window (Ctrl-N), Firefox always opens four new duplicate tabs for my custom URLs.

Is there a way to limit custom URLs to the first window opened in a profile or to open custom URLs only if they are not already open in at least one window?
