My archive folders have gone out of order alphanumerically. I have tried right clicking the account and selecting "Reset Folder Order" but this has no effect. I have also tried moving folders manually and found that certain folders refused to move. Also after a restart all the folders I have moved appear at the end of the list of folders. This is very inconvenient as I have built up a large number of archive folders over the years. I am on the Release update channel and my version of Thunderbird is up to date (146.0.1 (64-bit)). I haven't been able to upload ab image because I get contstant error message "Error uploading image".

Hey, i have a question

i recently installed my computer new, now i pulled over my Thunderbird profile folder, i have 2 email accounts and like 30 feeds, now when i click on a feed it shows

"feedname - 623 messages"

NO MESSAGES

aka its empty, when i restart its fixed, and i never get a blue update mark aka he does pull new messages but does not inform me

any way to fix this? Thanks :)

Thread email responses not realistically visible!

A new email comes in, it is in bold.

A RESPONSE to my own response comes in, and it looks completely normal! An underline is not "noticeable" enough!

A NEW EMAIL (brand new, or in a thread) should (obviously) generate the same optical indicator -- BOLD.

When I try to send my email I keep getting on screen messages from my old BT account continually asking for new passwords which I keep cancelling but it repeats over and ove again. How can I stop this?

I have tried to make a new folder and it never shows up. I then tried to create a sub folder and it never showed up. I don't know how to fix this problem. I started Thunderbird in troubleshooting mode and still could not fix the problem

Hello there, I have troubles signing into my email account on Thunderbird. I have a new laptop, therefore installed the program again, as I used it on my old laptop too. When I wanna sign up my email though, it gives me an error message that reads "Anmeldung auf dem Server fehlgeschlagen. Eventuell sind Konfiguration, Benutzername oder Passwort nicht korrekt". I'm writing in English here, since the Support site won't allow me to use the German site for whatever reason. Finding this contact form was also hard. Anyways, the German text translates roughly into "sign in didn't work, probably configuration, user name or password are incorrect". My password is correct, my e-mail is correct, I double and triple checked. It wants a full name from me. My mail account is from t-online and doesn't have a user name. So I entered my full name. Didn't work. I entered my t-online user ID, didn't work. I used only my first name. Didn't work. I tried out both IMAP and POP3 configurations, both lead to the same error message. According to my t-online account, IMAP is supported. One more thing: Before selecting IMAP or POP3, I received the message that my data was in fact found in the Mozilla ISP data base. Please help. like the topic says i cant get my outlook acount to work in thunderbird,i read some where that i need to change the settings but since it wont allow me to log in i cant do that. i have no idea what to do.

I have spent 3 hours trying to figure this out. Nothing works for me.

Authentication always fails yet when I log into Outlook it always works.

I turned off using the new hub and was able to setup my email account but it told me OWL was not active (or something about OWL).

Godaddy is my provider.

What am I not doing correctly?

When trying to add my outlook.com email account to Thunderbird 143.0.1, using the instructions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-exchange, I get an "Exchange auth error." I'm able to add the account manually using imap, but I want to use Exchange so I can access my outlook.com calendar and contact when TB is updated to include them.

I have Thunderbird running on Win 11. I have several email accounts, and 4 local folders. In one of the local folders, there are several emails, and the bottom 2 emails (as shown in the image) will not delete when I hit the delete button. When I do an "open in new tab" in Thunderbird, it opens a view that shows blank. How can I get these 2 emails to delete? and what is preventing them from being deleted via the delete button?

I’m using the Windows 11 version of the Thunderbird app, but when I try to add my Outlook account and enter my password, it shows “Authentication failed. Please check your username and password,” and I can’t complete the Outlook setup. I’ve tried changing my Microsoft account password and entering an app password, but neither worked.

Have used Thunderbird on OSX for many many years, with many different accounts.

(Had about 10+ accounts back in the days - phew!)

Now - my main account is Gmail, but I also have an iCloud-account.

These have been working well, but as of yesterday, I suddenly can't create or even see previously created folders on my iCloud account.

They show up just fine if I log in with a browser (total is 7 sub-folders, Trash excluded).

The really frustating thing is that I do in fact see three of the seven folders in Thunderbird. And this is after deleting the account with message data, and re-installing the account (and yes, using an app-specific password in my Apple ID settings).

All folders shows up just fine in Mail.app - but for reasons (message filtering, etc) I really like to be able to use Thunderbird as my mail client on OSX.

I have installed and started using Thunderbird for Android for a few weeks now. I'm loving it. There's one feature I miss from my previous e-mail client. I wish the App had that "Undo" feature where right after deleting an e-mail or archiving it and things like that you can quickly undo the action. In other clients, this is just a small popup that shows up for just a few seconds after you take the action. Many times I find that to be useful when you are quickly going through many spam messages, for example, but accidentally delete one you didn't mean to.

I can't find such a feature. Is it hidden somewhere, if not where can I make a suggestion for the team to add this? Thanks. -Eli

I'm on latest T-bird 140.7.0-ESR 64-bit. I have random failures when trying to move individual files or folders from LOCAL FOLDERS back to MAIN emails. Moves some, sometimes, then won't move, or will move some but not all, and often corrupts the files back into Main folder. I only use one email under T-Bird. This has happened for years, but I have been judicious about moving files and lived with it. But it's still a problem that I would have thought something like this would have been fixed long ago? .The formatting of LOCAL FOLDERS & FILES in LOCAL FOLDERS seems different & convoluted vs. a straightforward formatting in MAIN where I can easily move withing Microsoft file management. But trying to reconfigure and COPY or MOVE Files or Folders from LOCAL is very problematic.

I am getting frustrated that I keep getting multiple folders with the same name. When I save my emails to a local drive I use ALL MAIL to save and retrieve. Now I don't even have the ALL MAIL folder! Vern
