In recent weeks a PopUp is appearing on my Outlook.live.com Hotmail screen: "Add Outlook.live.com as an application for mailto links? There is no choice to Decline only to Add it. You can Close the link with the X but it keeps returning each time I log in.

We are cautioned repeatedly not to click on unknown links so I haven't.

Could someone please explain in "layman terms" why I am getting this, what it's for and how to stop it?

I have cox comm. for internet and emails, they just changed their server to yahoo.com. Now I cannot sign into thunderbird to send or receive emails.

I have been getting the "new version available, download now nag for over 2 weeks, and I have the latest version. Still get this issue repeatedly every day. Starting to become an every hour nag to update and install latest version of Firefox. Refuse to use Microsoft Edge or Chrome, and will switch off Firefox too if not rectified.

I already re-installed Firefox but this bug keems popping up.

BTW: I did not do a d*** thing. It just started yesterday and is extremely annoying!

I have used Firefox for many years and have one chosen color for all visited links. Since the latest automatic update to 125.0.1 a few days ago, the color for all visited links on the New York Times reverted back to the default color rather than my chosen one. My color was erased from all links. Now, in all sections, some of the clicked on links (articles) show my chosen color but many others do not change when I click on them. It has nothing to do with my settings as other sites show my color on all visited links. It seems to be an issue unique to the NYT's. I would appreciate any advice for you may wish to inform them? I had issues login to my Firefox account, so I reset my password, which cleared my data with passwords and bookmarks. I later found where I stored my recovery key and wanted to see if I can recover that data again.

Hi there, I have noticed that my Win11 Asus laptop is always short on RAM (16GB available), with Firefox taking up a significant amount even with only a few tabs open.

As you can see by the attached image, when I go to 'about:processes' it shows that GPU processes alone are taking up nearly 1GB of memory, with the only tab running being the 'about' page. I only have 6 extensions (uBlock Origin, Zotero, Containers etc) none of which are meant to be RAM intensive.

What are these GPU processes that are running, and how can I reduce the memory used by them?

looks like a problem with Firefox as no problem when using a different browser e.g. Opera. Also cannot log onto Nextdoor.co.uk using Facebook to log on. Again works fine on Opera
