Hello –
Firefox suddenly started crashing on startup and continues to do so every attempt — Mozilla Crash Reporter appears and MozCrashReason = MOZ_CRASH(Using observer service off the main thread!).
Same crash on startup in Safe Mode. Also attempted all troubleshooting steps on Mozilla support with no luck, and haven't been able to find any existing community threads that seem to address it. Also attempted complete uninstall/reinstall.
Any help getting this sorted out will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Support, I would like to deploy Firefox bookmark via GPO. I downloaded policy_templates_v1.4 from GitHub and running Firefox Quantum ESR 60.5 (64-Bit) on Windows 10 1703 64bit OS. The GPO template is imported to a client system C:\windows\PolicyDefinitions. I added Bookmarks in the local group policy but Bookmark didn't display when I launched Firefox. Please advise.
Thanks,
Kent Liu

Windows 7 32-bit Enterprise running in a VMware workstation pro VM. Firefox has been working fine until I told it to go ahead and update last week. Since the update firefox fails to start. I see the window border form and then disappear. No crash logs in Firefox crash dir. Uninstalled and re-installed (specifically chose 32-bit installer) and told it to reset everything (clean install). Still have problem. I do find this in event log. Images are also attached. The .dll mentioned has a different name every time and all virus/malware scans show clean both for the firefox installer and the system.

There has just been a Firefox update. Do the people behind it intentionally set out to annoy users? Is it deliberate policy to wind us up, put us in a bad mood?
Because it is REALLY annoying when something changes for no good reason.
For a long time now, after opening a new tab, I would get 2 rows of 3 "top sites". 2 rows of 3. Now, after the update, seems I have to have rows of 2 or 4. Why? Small point, I grant you, but it just highlights pointless change.
I then spent 10 mins trying to reset the page to how it was. You end up going through page after stupid page and NONE help. There is a box on one that specifically mentions changing the number of rows etc, but when you click on the link, when the page opens it isn't even mentioned.
Honestly, I use Firefox by default. ALL browsers suck and Firefox is simply the best of the worst.
USELESS.

There is a problem with Faerfoksom critical, processor I3-7100. When you run Firefox the computer translates all the program and game tasks into 2 CPU threads and starts to slow down. If you click anywhere on the desktop or activate any task immediately load is all 4 threads, but if the cursor again activate on the Firefox load back from all running programs goes to 2 CPU flow, and 2 others start Rest and everything again slows down. There is no such thing with other browsers

Hi, I have a problem with checkboxes and radiobuttons in firefox.
It renders a checkbox in grid-like pattern when the checkbox is styled with width and height attributes. It can be best seen in the provided image together with inspect-element for that checkbox. The relevant site is https://www.w3schools.com/w3css/w3css_input.asp. But it can be done for any checkbox.
I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 and I've updated to Firefox v65 but the problem persists. In Chrome it gets rendered correctly.
Please advise on how to fix this behavior.

Hello everybody. I've justed ported my dictionary add-on with the new WebExtension and I'm facing a problem. In the old format (install.rdf) I can specify different name and description for each language, like this:
< em:localized > < Description > < em:locale >en< /em:locale > < em:name >name< /em:name > < em:description >description< /em:description > < /Description > < Description > < em:locale >it< /em:locale > < em:name >nome< /em:name > < em:description >descrizione< /em:description > < /Description > ...
Now (manifest.json) I see there is only one pair of name-discription, like this:
{
"name": "name", "description": "description",
...
The problem is that I didn't find a way to specify the name-description pair for other languages. Trying
{
"name": "__MSG_extensionName__", "description": "__MSG_extensionDescription__", "default_locale": "it",
... with the usual locales structure (_locales/{lang}/manifest.json) { "application_title": { "message": "name" }, "application_description": { "message": "description" } }
didn't work because when I upload my extension the AMO complains about non valid tag "default_locale". What am I doing wrong? Thank you

When my browser updated from 64.0 to 65.0, things got .... changed, even though I never touched my settings.
First: custom theme has to reload, every time I open firefox. Every single time. Second: Even though I have everything search related turned off, I keep getting the search bar below the address bar (where the bookmarks toolbar is). Third: what is this "content blocking"? I don't even have any idea how to set this....

Updated Firefox to 65.0.1 yesterday now a number of websites do not work including firefox support site (Will not let me log in, had to download Opera just to post this issue.)
Examples include Facebook not loading all content or allowing me to follow links (Links do not work at all.)
Youtube can't play single videos (Again acts like link is not a link.) Playlists will somewhat work if you right click and open link in a new tab but only play about 5-10 seconds of a video before moving to a new one for another 5-10 seconds of play while also taking a lot longer than normal (more than the usual 2-3 seconds from before the upgrade) to start the next video link 10-15 seconds.
Would add info from "about:support" but it will not allow me to attach a pdf (The only way I can do that since "Automatically add" button reqires using Firefox and I can't right now(Not logging in.)
As stated before no log in ability on the support site here.
Most other sites I have tested are missing content or links randomly work or not with no real reason, at least any that I can figure some work some don't and some work some times but not others.
I have done a full un-install and re-install to see if that had any effect and it did not. Also this is the only change to my computer in a little over a month, just the update to Firefox 65.0.1.
Before an upgrade, in the top left next to the refresh arrow, was an icon to click and change screens. It's gone now
If I switch screens like from mail to MSN, I need to open a new screen. Before, I just clicked the icon and it opened a screen with all the bookmarks.
facebook appears as it would in a "DOS" operating system display! No images, all options along left side of screen. What is wrong?
facebook appears normal in Chrome

My local club uses a package called "Clubessentials" and it includes a facility to view your current statement/invoice. This is usually downloaded as a PDF from a 'builder form' which I think is viewStatement.aspx.
I updated to version 65.0 just this week, and now the download doesn't work correctly. Instead of my download folder having a .PDF file, it has viewStatement.aspx. See attached screen image.
I tested it with MS Edge and it works fine, and it worked on Firefox until this update.
