Have you discovered that you cannot raise the 'Message Pane' as far upwards as in previous versions? This is because the developers have increased the minimum height of the Thread Pane otherwise known as 'Message List'.

I was a happy camper until V115 stuck its ugly nose into my interface.
Fonts on the interface are absolutely terrible and almost unreadable and cause rather severe eye strain.
I have tried going to Settings->Language & Appearance->Fonts & Colors->Advance and they will not change.
What am I missing.
I noticed that New Times Roman wasn't available as a font. What gives?

Hello,
The new UI has this massive customizable toolbar at the top of the screen, it wastes a lot of space and doesn't look good compared to the old UI, you can fully customize it even leaving it blank but that does not remove it entirely and it looks off with just a blank nothing up there, where is the option to completely remove this new toolbar?

The 'Message Header' is the area above where the message content of an opened email is displayed. It typically contains a set of buttons - Reply, Forward, Archive, Junk, Delete and More It shows From, To, Subject and Date It may show other information depending upon settings and type of email.
Do you find the spacing between eg: the 'From' line and the 'TO' line is too much? Do you want to reduce this gap? If yes, then the following information may solve your problem.

How do I PERMANENTLY turn off THREADING in Thunderbird 102.13.0? No matter what I've tried, threading turns back on automatically. I have read ALL previous threading questions and answers but NONE of them stop Thunderbird from instituting threading IMMEDIATELY after I change the view with the top-far right "Select columns to display" to deselect threading.
If I could take a screenshot to show my issue, I would but don't know how.
I have been trying to stop threading for weeks now and now have to give up and ask this question. Threading does NOT work for me and I need help, soon.
Thanks for your patience and help,
Oldheart

Thanks for improving Thunderbird!
I very much like the new card view! However, I am missing the small green unread-button, that I also use to change the status of the mail in the table view. As I use the unread status to sort mails and keep mails up on the list. To quickly change the read status back is part of my way of organising my work. Of course there is a menu and a context menu but all this requires more moves. Can I customise what I can see and interact with on a card?

I use Thunderbird 115.1.0. "Show only display name for people in my address book" is not selected in the preferences. The "Full Address column" Add-on does not work with version 115.*
In all folders the names of message senders/recipients are displayed instead of the e-mail addresses. For example, it shows "My Name" in the outbox - not name@example.org, my@name.com etc. In the inbox, it is "Anna Bel" and "Zack Miller" instead of "support@mozilla.org".
I am not interested in the names. When I want to see those, I look into the mail. I need the mail addresses!
How do I get back the addresses? (I think Netscape Mail did have that feature.)
The chosen answer to a similar question, "use Full Address column Add-on", does not work for Thunderbird 115.* and up.

I need to disable this horrible translator that is now showing up on top of every page I visit, It keeps showing up even after choosing a translation or disabling translations for that language. That is probably a bug, but I don't want to wait for a fix, I need to be able to see the pages I visit completely, this thing prevents me from clicking buttons and and is really anoying.
This is the built-in translation feature since I do not use any translation plugins, and started showing up after an upgrade.

Just upgraded to "SUPERNOVA" (115.2.2) and the text (Drop downs, Folder Pane, message headers and Inbox) looks like it got hit by a black hole. Sorry folks, I'm getting old but I'd rather not wear reading glasses at the computer. Did not have this problem before the upgrade. I've checked the forum but the fixes do not work (also note the screen layout has changed some with the update). I can read the messages as they are both larger and subject to the zoom function.
While it may seem minor, for those of us who have been using TB for a many years and aging in the process this is a major problem. While the update, what I can see of it looks interesting, at present I am stuck with the horrible prospect of expanding my (forced) use of Outlook from just my work email to all my emails.
Is there a simple fix? And I would suggest this be fixed in an update.

I would like to see the sender's email address in lieu of a name.
The inbox SELECT COLUMNS TO DISPLAY does not offer an option to DISPLAY THE SENDER’S EMAIL ADDRESS.
Both From and Correspondents display the same names. Perhaps replacing one of those with the SENDER’S EMAIL ADDRESS?

Hello,
As I said: fresh install of FF 119, only Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin icons are showing on the taskbar. I tried TyDraniu tip "Click the jigsaw puzzle icon, then right-click on an extension, then select Pin to toolbar" but with the right click there is no such option as "Pin to toolbar".
What's going on?

Many times now, I have needed to change folder views to 'Unthreaded', ditch 'Correspondents' in favour of 'From' and 'Recipient' and arrange my emails in descending date order. Every time I create a new folder, I need to go through the same routine. Every time I download a new version of Thunderbird, all my folders are changed back to 'Threaded' and 'Correspondents' and are in Ascending date order, so I have to go through the whole process again. What I need is a simple 'global' setting in a menu, so that I can change the settings for ALL my Thunderbird folders in a simple series of clicks, without needing to go to each folder every time. Better still would be a 'once for all' fix that would prevent Thunderbird changing my settings every time I download a new version. There must be thousands of Thunderbird users who share my frustration with what is lotherwise an excellent email program. Please fix it!

This question was already posted and badly answered in 2016. Now things have changed a lot and Firefox DO try to translate everything which is quite annoying to anyone knowing more than a single language. No extensions related. I need to completely disable that. My firefox is up to date: 118.0.1 (64-bit).
Thank you Arturo

Hello! For some reason I can't add separate icons for extension quick menus to the address bar area and am only able to add the extensions "master" button which shows a list of extensions without going to the settings page. I've tried to go to customize toolbar to add the extension icons to the bar but none of them show up, and I know for a fact that the extensions have icons, I've added them to the bar on other computers.

Hi,
I have a Discord bot that informs me about certain activities on my server via mail and no matter what I do, the mails are always detected as spam and moved to the spam folder.
What I want: that all mails from this mail address are completely ignored and not never ever even considered being marked as spam
What I have already tried: - Update Thunderbird to the latest version. - Added address to contacts and set contacts in certain lists to be ignored. - Set filters that move the mail back to the normal inbox either before or after the check. - Reset the spam training data
No matter what I do, the mails end up in the spam folder again after some time.

This new version, 91.0, now opens PDF files in a new Thunderbird tab. In previous versions, I could open PDF files in Acrobat Reader DC.
I want to still use Acrobat Reader DC to open PDF files. I can't find anything in preferences to direct PDF files to Acrobat Reader DC. When I right-click "open" on a PDF file, it does not give me the option to choose a program to open it with. It opens directly into a new Thunderbird tab.

Every solution which I have found for Firefox 89 "Proton" so far which moves the Tabs Bar below the Navigation Bar (AKA "address bar"), with the Menu Bar above it, does NOT move the Tabs Bar below the Bookmarks Bar. The Bookmarks Bar appears to be overwritten and blank, and occupies space below the Menu Bar, Navigation Bar, and Tabs Bar. This empty space separates the three bars which are implemented and the content of the currently-selected tab below it.
Currently, my userChrome.css file is a copy posted by Cor-el (?):

Evidently, the text editor for this website does several things to the above original text that, frankly, seem unnecessary and undesirable. The .CSS file is just an unformatted text file, so what is the problem with simply copying its contents and pasting it in to the body of this post?
Which is also to say that I do NOT have a clue as to what any line in the file is meant to do, what effect it has, why it is even in the file at all, or why it is written in the way that it is. So DO NOT tell me that I "CAN" create a Cascading Style Sheet on my own when I cannot even modify one that has been provided.
On the face of it, something is missing from the above CSS text. What change needs to be made to the above content so that the Bookmark Bar will appear between the Navigation Bar and the Tabs Bar??
Thank-you very much for your time and attention to this request for assistance.
Updated Firefox last night, today I am seeing notifications such as "Autoplay blocked" in the tab. How do I disable that?
