I want to disable firefox' form history so I don't see the drop-down menu for email addresses I could enter into forms. However, I do not want to disable search history. In the settings, I only have the option to enable or disable both (see the attached screenshot).

I would appreciate it if search and form history could be disabled or enabled separately.

The reason this is important to me is that when logging into websites, I often use [personal handle]+[website]@[email provider] as my email address so I can avoid spam if that site's data gets leaked. However, firefox' form history stores each +[website] as a separate entry, resulting in an impractically long drop-down menu. While it doesn't break anything, it does mean choosing between not using search history or having my screen fill up with a large, useless, attention grabbing drop-down element every time I have to log in.

After I've used Firefox and just had basic Firefox up, I will get a couple of sites that I never went to pop up asking me to login or to set up my account there. The sites are Bitcoin and Wells Fargo Bank. I cannot get these sites to stop popping up on Firefox. No history of them in my bookmarks or previous uses. How can I get these to not pop up on Firefox browser?

I used a particular website for a while and deleted it from my history problem is the website is still stuck on Firefox suggest/auto-complete. I've deleted all my history,cache, cookies and cleared data on the app settings. No, it's not a bookmark and whats worse is that it appears on the desktop version as well even though I've wiped it there as well with 'forget this site' option. I've also re-installed the app and reinstalled the keyboard I'm using after clearing data as well but nothing it's still suggested.

Keep in mind its not in any of history searches just suggestion/auto-complete. I'm trying not to disable the feature but I feel like its either that or move to another browser.

I have a strange effect coming up for some months (and many FF versions) already, but maybe I am just too stupid?

Some websites ask you to allow notifications, and you can allow or deny the request. FF puts them onto a list that can be seen and edited within the settings. So far, so good.

But if I close FF and restart it later on, the list is empty again, so every of my fav webpages is asking me again and again. This is really getting annoying.

I don't use "private tabs" and I dont have enabled to clear history on closing the browser (I hope so, but I am not really sure, but I dont want any deletion).

What is causing the delete of the list and how can I prevent it???

I have Firefox 108.0.2 installed, had the same problem also in recent versions: I'm trying to delete a personal certificate but when I do it, it pops up immediately. Tried: Deleted in certificate dialog and immediately exited. Closed Firefox, deleted the cert9.db file in my profile folder and restarted Firefox. The file re-appeared and certificates where in again. Driving me mad, I need to remove an expired certificate but FF does not allow it - definitely a bug.

Hello, in Thunderbird versions 102.6.1 and 109.03b I can install my Open PGP key from a file. In the account management, the message appears that I do not have a personal key. Although this key is displayed in the key management, the encryption and signing only works with a newly created key from Thunderbird. Is there a solution for this?

Here's the thing. Up to this point I have been using POP to get email into Thunderbird from Office365. My company recently disallowed the use of POP from Office365 and Thunderbird. My solution was to forward to a GMail account and POP from there. Seemed like it should be simple. The email forwarding is working fine but when I try to set up POP from the GMail account (and change the appropriate settings in Thunderbird) my computer is bringing up a Microsoft OAuth2 dialog for my Gmail account. It should be understood that I did have to use the Microsoft Authenticator to get Outlook webmail to work on my computer, which presumably created an OAuth2 token on my computer. It feels like what I need is a separate token for my GMail account in order to get it to work with Thunderbird. I don't really understand well enough how this OAuth2 stuff works, however, to know if this is possible. Thanks for any ideas.

From one day to the other mozilla started showing me notifications on the menu bar in a white flashing background. I have disabled all notifications, but it didn't stop the white bar flashing every time I change tabs. Is there any way to stop that from happening as it is supremely annoying. I work with many tabs. About logins and password, when passwords are longer than around 30 characters long, I cannot see the entirety of the string of characters when allowing the password to be shown. If I try to scroll to the right, it hides the password, as if I pressed the icon to toggle the visibility of the password.

I made the mistake of clicking update when the message said that I had not updated Firefox in a while. After the update, all saved login/passwords were gone. I never had a Firefox account so I couldn't sync. So this time I created one and have been going through and putting in my logins and passwords and selecting Save whenever I am given the option. But, when I go into preferences/privacy to view the saved logins, it is blank and says I don't have any saved logins....What is going on?
