Last week, sometime, I received ALL the emails, that have come into my "mailbox", from about the time I purchased my latest computer, several years ago. There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of the little critters. All arranged alphabetically, starting with the letter "a". So far, the ONLY solution I've found from "Thunderbird Help", is to 1. Open inbox 2. Select [left click] one of the repeated emails. 3. This high lights the email in BLUE. 4. Select BOTH "CONTROL & A" KEYS at the same time. 5. This highlights the WHOLE PRESENT page of emails in BLUE. 6. The instructions then say to press the "DELETE" key. 7. Question is- IF I PRESS THE "DELETE" key, will that just delete the emails on this page, OR delete EVERY email in my entire "inbox"? The only OTHER remedy I've tried, is to send the unwanted emails, ONE at a time, to the "TRASH" folder, then empty the "TRASH" folder, when I get 10-15 emails in it. That could take a VERY long time. Thunderbird auto updated to 115.10.1 and now it is behaving strangely.

1. The Message Filter has "Junk" at the bottom of the list of filters and anything that is not sent to a folder gets sent to the Junk folder. Instead all the junk is going to the Inbox.

2. Folders that have new email show up in blue highlighted folder as they should. But if I select those emails and read them, they remain highlighted but without the blue color.

3. Sometimes when I delete an email after reading, it deletes for a moment and then returns to the folder as unread. Multiple attempts to delete fail.

I am on a MacBook Pro with Sonoma 14.4, and the lastest version of Firefox. The YouTube website will not load. It looks like the attached screen shot. I can access the site with other browsers. I can play a YouTube video with Firefox if I have a link, but I cannot see the rest of the page - just the video itself.

I have latest Thunderbird version (115.9.0 64bit) on fully patched Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS.

I'm trying to get it to display Day-of-Week for old messages - is this possible? I have tried all sorts of combination as detailed HERE to no avail.

I'd like concise instructions on how to do this (if it can be done). I do not believe trying a new profile will work as I need to test this for old messages - at least for messages older than a week.

From the link above, I can the Day-of-Week to work for the current week - but that only displays the day and time. What I'm after is as shown in the attached Outlook screenshot. Also see the closest I can get that to match in the Thunderbird screenshot.

I am no longer able to view my Pinterest account via FIrefox. The page is blank and can't see any of my pins. Sometimes, I can't even log in to the account. I have contacted Pinterest and they don't know what the issue is. I have cleared cache, removed extensions etc but nothing seems to work. I don't have this issue with Google chrome or Microsoft edge. I only have this issue with Firefox. Why is that??

Already invested time creating some html code for email signature on thunderbird. Wanted to create something prepared for dark modes on IOS. Everything was fine until I detected on IOS (dark mode)some white rectangles outside my email signature code. It´s a problem that I cannot solve because it´s outside my code, and I´m wondering if you are already aware of this issue.

I have noticed that for the past several months Firefox for Android begins draining my battery after being installed for around 2 weeks. I'm using a Google Pixel 7 (128GB) running Android 14 (AP1A.240405.002) in the UK.

At first, I thought this was being caused by an add-on, so I reinstalled without add-ons and slowly started enabling them day by day until I caught the culprit (which if I recall correctly was Dark Reader). However, even after I disabled the Dark Reader add-on the problem persisted, and no matter how many times I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, the background battery drain issues would eventually come back after ~2 weeks of being installed.

At present I have only three add-ons enabled in the browser: ClearURLs, Decentraleyes, and uBlock Origin. I have used these add-ons in the browser for years without any issues.

It's now got the point where I am so fed up with this issue and the need to constantly reinstall that I will be using a different browser for the time being until this is fixed. I really want to use Firefox as I use it on all my other devices, but this is too much of an issue for me to ignore.

I've included screenshots of my phone's battery consumption whilst I'm asleep, and whilst I'm watching Youtube on my TV over lunch. Both of these are times I'm not using Firefox.

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

For some reason, when I click email links on my new Android, they open in non-private mode, and I have to clear the history when I leave those sites.

Please provide instructions for automatically opening email links in private mode.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and restarted my computer but it still will not load. When i first reinstall it it comes up but will not connect to the intenet.

Hello My Thunderbird failed pop access to my Gmail account, at beginning of month. Any try to fix, and even change from pop to imap don't work. I get the windows as shown i images as result. I don't like see oauth/legacy/consent in the URL. - Change setting in Google from pop to imap - Cookie setting updated as forum suggest - JavaScript true as forum suggest

I think with the update to 125, I no longer see the typical Windows window controls in the upper right - minimize, maximize, close - so I don't know how to do those things.

THe top right looks like this Mac-based image (where those buttons are on the upper left) but I'm running on Windows so I don't have the dot buttons on top left nor the Windows style min/max/close at top right.

What do I need to do to get them back?

i am using firefox developer edition version 126.0b3 (64-bit) on linux mint with an x11 desktop and for some reason the drag and drop breaks frequently.

i think i have figured out how i can consistently recreate the bug as well as sort of fix it temporarily.

i start with a newly launched browser. everything works fine. but then if i attempt to drag and drop something shortly after i drag and dropped something else and it did the little animation where it returns to its original position, i find that i cant drag and drop anything FROM firefox to anywhere else. and i also cannot rearrage tabs.

it seems to fix itself whenever I drag something from another program TO firefox successfully such as text into a textbox, or a .html file into the window to view it.

Hello. I have my outlook.com account set up in Thunderbird 115.10.1. When I delete emails in Thunderbird from my inbox, they disappear and they go to the Deleted folder in Thunderbird as they should, but they aren't deleted on the Outlook server. I can still see them in my inbox if I use my Outlook app on my phone. I must delete them using my phone.

If I delete an email on my Outlook app on my phone, they disappear immediately in Thunderbird, which is correct. In other words, it works correctly if I delete from my phone, but not from Thunderbird.

My server settings are: Server Type: IMAP Mail Server Server Name: outlook.office365.com Port: 993 Connection security: SSL/TLS Authentication method: OAuth2 When I delete a message: Move it to this folder: Deleted on <myaccount>@outlook.com

All of a sudden, over 6 months of my "deleted" items dropped off. I like to keep up to 9 months items for history reference if needed. Is this an automatic thing, or if, can it be adjusted by settings?

Until recently when a spam email was received, I could go to my Message Filters and one set up as DELETE. After entering the spam email address I could then select RUN NOW and the spam email would be deleted. When I click RUN NOW at present nothing happens. How can I get this filter to work again.

I currently have just a desktop Mac. I recently switched from Apple Mail to Thunderbird to read three email accounts: iCloud, gmail & a university account. I had previously used rules at the server level on my iCloud account, and this caused hella pain during the migration, including some zombie rules that I think I have isolated to Thunderbird. I deleted the rules from iCloud, removed the iCloud account from Thunderbird, restarted and then re-added it to Thunderbird. So far, so good, although I had to resubscribe to the draft, junk and trash folders (all other than the inbox) for some reason.

I have decided to experiment with not using rules or folders at all, and instead use local saved searches in Thunderbird. This will make my life easier when I get a laptop, which is inevitable. Two machines reading the same IMAP emails with rules can get weird.

Can I copy/paste existing saved search folders, so I can do similar searches just by making minor changes to the search terms? If so, how?

Can I copy/paste or save saved search folders, so I can do the same searches on a different Mac, without painstakingly recreating all the search terms? If so, how?

Can I create a saved search folder that contains all the messages not found in any OTHER saved search folder? If so, how?
