Vevo or any other official music videos are not playing in Firefox. After loading for 10 seconds, I am getting "An Error occurred" error. I don't have this problem with other videos. This problem occurred yesterday, although I didn't do any system changes or software updates during the day. In Internet Explorer 11 which using HTML5 Player by default, those videos are starting to play but only after 10 seconds load and not immediately like other videos. When forcing HTML5 Player in Firefox those videos are starting to play after 10 seconds load like in IE but HTML5 Player is very instable in Firefox. Software wise everything is up to date and I already reinstalled both Firefox and IE but the problem is still there. Even System Restore didn't help. Net research also didn't bring any solutions.

Firefox on mac osx with automatic updates for OS and Firefox up to date for over a year recently started producing failed downloads (probably between 9-13 and 9-14, around the time of the last Firefox update). What has been tried to fix this: everthing from the Mozilla help pages “What to do if you can't download or save files” asserted to be based on information from “Unable to save or download files (mozillaZine KB)” with the exception of dealing with the "plist" file since that could not be found in this OS installation. If anything has changed through these efforts, it has been to cause the failure to be more severe. Before attempting any fixes, the downloads usually produced a zero-byte file of the expected name and an apparently full-length download file with the expected name and a ".part" extension (or an abbreviated download file with a jumbled alphanumeric name and ".part" extension). After all the fixes were attempted, with the additional trial of patching the profile from TimeMachine back-ups well before the initiation of the problems, and then a final effort of a complete Firefox re-install (freshly downloaded via the separate account on the computer then Firefox removed prior to a fresh install), downloads now fail for that one problem account producing only the zero-byte file of the expected name and no ".part" files yet seen again. Created new profiles in Firefox under the same computer account inherit the same download problems (tried twice).
FYI: in addition to the troubleshooting information below, the computer account with the Firefox problems reports another four plug-ins (Blue Jeans, RBlue Jeans and "install" for both). As these do not show up on this computer account where the Firefox browser has no download issues, this may matter. But since the download issues were independent of Safe Mode operation for Firefox, presumably the plug-in differences would not matter.

This one is really weird - the problems have developed over the last week or two. TB is sometimes unable to read emails, while at other times it succeeds. When it is unable to read emails, it can send them OK. Sometimes I can get it to work by re-starting TB, sometimes that doesn't work and I have to re-start Windows. Some days this problem exists, other days it all works fine. My ISP has checked my settings, and they're fine.
FF is generally working OK, but I'm having trouble with one particular website, and then only with the secure pages (https:) within it. I can access the first few pages OK, but after a while the site stops responding (at least that's what FF says). When FF is stuck like that, I can open another tab and access pages on other sites with no problem .
I would appreciate any suggestions.

Hi guys, Well, I think I bring here a very interesting thing for the Mozilla team. I found I have some sort of exploit which takes screen captures whenever I click on any web page. It is specially active whenever you are entering sensitive information like when I log-in onto site accounts, o whenever I check something on the bank. I checked processes using process explorer, and everything points at Mozilla being very active and nothing else. I check the creation of those screen captures and they are always, there. I normally kill every process which is not necessary, and the ones left are just essential. I ran several bootable antivirues like Eset, Kaspersky and Bitdefender and they don't detect anything weird. I removed from a bootable CD all temp files this "thing" creates while making files and take snap of my screen. I goes back on when you are back on Windows. I know that something was going on when on the bank site I had a AVG-antivirus alert saying that an exploit was active and gave me the option to remove it. Other than that, you don't feel a thing. As said, it goes back the alert everytime you visit the bank and some other log-ins, specially while banking. I also disable all Firefox add-ons, as well as the Java on my computer -I believe there's some connection with Java here-. I have the suspicion that it is pdf/exploit coz I saw a glimpse of that name while uninstalling something which I thing was Facemoods. Not too sure how it got there. So there, guys!! I don't know where this "thing" resides, really does -it could be doing more things-, or how to get rid of it. PS: I saw a while ago that I have to mozilla folder hanging from "program files". One is mozilla.bak. I'm digging into this now. Any shed on this, you pros!! I have three flash banners embedded with swfobject in a javascript slider (jquery bxslider plugin). Each banner has three ActionScript ExternalInterfaces:
- calling restartBanner() from JavaScript restarts the animation so that I can restart it whenever the slide is selected
- calling stopFlash() stops the animation
- on the last frame of each banner, bannedEnd() is called so that I know when to proceed to the next banner
Everything seems to be working correctly in Safari and Chrome, but in Firefox the last (third) banner doesn't seem to start playing. The weird thing is that even though you can't see the animation (it simply displays the first frame), at some point bannerEnd() is called, so internally the flash animation is working.
At first I thought it's because the container with the banner is not visible and tried modifying the slide's DOM in hope of triggering a re-render and forcing the browser to start the animation (as seen in onSlideAfter method), but that didn't help. I don't have much experience with flash and couldn't find any relevant solutions or similar problems online, so I don't really know where to look.
It's also not the issue of the one particular banner - if you change the order, the problem persists with the last (third) banner.

As I said, the issue seems to only be with the Firefox browser, so it seemed appropriate to seek help here.

I use browse by name queries to surf a good part of the internet, but there's a weird thing going on with the Fox and it's a strange operation.
Whenever I type in the name of a website hit enter and then goto a different tab, the page loads on the tab I changed to, not the original tab.
I start with Tab 1 and request cnet in BBN. I change to Tab 2 which has facebook loaded and I'm looking through it.

Tab 1 has cnet in a google search Tab 2 has changed to cnet.com by itself.
How do I make this stop?
