It seems Firefox has downloaded a document or a picture to the desktop. On the top bar, there is an icon - small downward pointing arrow over a bar. When I click on that it brings up a history of my downloads (docs, pics, pdfs, etc.....NOT software downloads). There appears to be many previous downloads in this window, they appear to be done, but NOT completed and are just hanging there in never never land. By clicking on the bottom item (3 other items), it opens a window called Library. The second options to the left is downloads. The instructions tell you to click on the "Clear Downloads" on the upper bar (Next to Organize) and this will clear out all the downloads. This Clear Downloads is, however, grayed-out. There seems to be no other ways to clear this list. Any help would be appreciated....

I updated the latest version. Yesterday I tried to download Torrent file and open using the Open or save dialogue it is not downloading fully. It is showing UNKNOW TIME REMAINING and not fully downloading. Even if i close the firefox and open it again, still it is showing the same.I thought that is is problem in my system, But all the system has the same problem. each and every 3-4 days you are relesing a version. I dont know what is there in each version..Please fix the problem. These kind of problem will make the users shift to other browsers like Chrome.

I clicked a link (linking to a .jpeg) in an e-mail for something I purchased thinking it was an extra to the purchase, but afterwards I realised it was just an Image to accompany the e-mail.

The problem is I can't clear the download from the download manager and everytime Firefox starts it makes a connection to download the file. I tried clicking the "x" next to the download but this just paused the download. I have also tried clicking "Clear Downloads" in the download Library but this didn't help.

How can I remove this file from the download manager ?

After the latest beta update on version 32, I am unable to download files.

The download status hangs at approx 1 second left each time.

I am behind a proxy server at work, but file download has not had a problem in the past.

The default download manager in Firefox started showing a strange behavior today: any file I try to download (either in the default \download folder or in a folder chosen by me) is actually downloaded by the browser but the download status bar of the file always shows an "unknown remaining time" message while being fully green (https://www.dropbox.com/s/n891ya38ifm83c3/Cattura%20di%20schermata%20%284%29.png?dl=0).

The real problem is when I download files like .torrent that as soon as are downloaded need the torrent client to start (torrent client that doesn't start because for firefox the .torrent download is never completed).

I tried disabling the antivirus (bitdefender) but the problem persisted. In Chrome downloads work fine (also with antivirus enabled).

I think last week I update my Firefox to last version 32.0, and now i can not download anythink, can you help me - in more detailed - when i try to download some file and save to my pc it stay on 99%, write unknown time and not donwload , it is same if i try to open and file - mean clieck "open" not save.I try with different brouzer and different cites and everythink work fine.Problem is only on firefox.I try and that " In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page. A list of settings should appear Filter the list by typing in the search bar at the top. Type in scanWhenDone. You should now find the "browser.download.scanWhenDone" preference. Double-click on that preference to set the value to false. " But still have problem.

Even if I download a small file which has a size of about 10kb, the download progress bar shows unknown time remaining and apparently the download is not complete. Although the downloaded file works fine. This creates a little distraction as now the browser tab in my windows is highlighted as if it is downloading.

Now I have got a few dozen download progress bar since yesterday and it is pretty distracting. Can anyone please help me ? I have already trying resetting the browser, it does not help as the download progress bar return s to the same status.

A download of Hugin form sourceforge never completesd and is still in the download queue. I cant delete the entry and FF says it is still running everytime I quit. How do I permantly delete this download.

Since the last update of Firefox Beta 32.0.. I have been unable of downloading files. It start to download, and when it reach approx the 90%.. it holds there and doesn't continue. I already tested in some webpages and I obtain the same results.

For some reason, everything I've attempted to download today using Firefox has hung up at 1 second.

This applies to all files from multiple download locations. Some of the files do appear to be downloading anyways, but in the browser, they aren't finishing.

I also can't cancel the downloads, cause when I hit the X, it just pauses the download.

Once paused, I can't resume it in any way. The only way to stop it is by closing Firefox completely, reopening and cancelling the download immediately.

I have tried downloading using IE, and it worked, but nothing on Firefox has fully worked, including in safe mode.

Any ideas?

My computer crashed and after reinstalling Firefox on a new drive I am having problems. 1) Even though I have it set to use Adobe for the pdf files and to always activate it, it is still downloading pdf files and marking them as Firefox. These are pdf files being downloaded from email.

2) it is not completing downloads (hangs when it is almost complete) And it is putting downloads together in files rather than separately like it use to.

Is it possible to mute sound comming from one web page/tab while listening to the sound comming from another web page/tab? I have two computers, one running windows xp professional and using firefox 32 and the other using windows 7 running firefox 32.

So I finally get a Surface Pro 3 and bring it home. Excited to install the "touch" version of Firefox, since I've used it on my non-touch computers for at least a decade, only to find that they've cancelled the development.

WTF?! Seriously? Worse is that I found the reason posted in a blog, "Not enough interest". Hmm, maybe it's because nobody knew about it? Even those that did, couldn't get it to work in the touch environment. Maybe it's because it wasn't released as a "release" and always as a Beta?

Here is a fact, you've lost this user for good. Development on this old version of non-touch is what you should stop on. I mean, what computers today AREN'T touch screen? If they're not, your current and even past versions are more than enough.

Firefox had a chance to gain some ground but that is now gone. Instead they've chosen to go with the smaller market Android, build their own OS (Good luck with that) and continue developing a "desktop" mode that is more than fine.

Instead they're leaving behind a market share that is larger than both Apple and Android COMBINED. Here's an idea - FIRE your management team 'cause they don't know crap about their users. If you ever release a version in the Windows Market, great. Until then, I'm gone and I'm sure I'm not alone.

i have a black space on the right side of the browzer window but even if disable all add-ons or even after reseting firefox this problem still occurs. but when i maximize the window there is no problem.

Every time I start Firefox, this pop up window keeps poping up in the background, and there is no way to close it.

Hi there, I am getting a constant "plugin has crashed" message when trying to load video on youtube. Multiple install, firefox and sys restart dont make the difference. can you give me a hand on this? Thank you in advance for what you can do..

There isn't an "x" on the open tabs, allowing you to close each one manually. I use LastPass and before updating to the latest Firefox version, it appeared as a bookmark - now it is gone but you can put your cursor over it as with the download arrow and it shows that is where they are. Also the arrow allowing you to go back to the last website you were on, is missing - it is just a circle with no arrow in it. Thank you for any help on this problem.

When the browser crashes, it's feasible that some of the data from sensitive web apps or sites could be included in a crash report. As such some enterprises want reporting disabled if the browser is being used to access sensitive data. Other than disabling Crash reporting from the UI, I can't seem to locate a configuration line to disable crash reporting - I can set breakpad.reportURL to null and to set HKCU\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reporter\SubmitCrashReport = 0 (on windows) each time the user logs in. Is there a way to disable crash reporting permanently so that when a new profile is created it's not re-enabled?
