Hi everyone

Since last week, everytime i want to send an email i have this message : "Clients does not have permissions to send as this sender"

And if i change the authentification method, it's still not working. I've tried all the settings ssl0.ovh.net / port 465

It's working when i'm not using Thunderbird, through the web mail.

If anyone has a solution, please let me know

hi Team, I Am trying to set the microsoft 365 mail, all the st was done but i am facing the belwo issue. 1. only inboz & transh box showing. 2. Not able to send the mails using thunderbird.

I have successfully used Thunderbird for 7-8 years for my business e-mail account. About 2 weeks ago the platform simply wouldn't send or receive any more and I have no idea why. I would like some help to get this working once again

After Thunderbird Desktop Version 128.4.3esr, sending email has been really slow. Windows: Windows 10 or later

The send bar takes a lot longer to finish now.

Do I have to disable anything or do something to get email to send faster?

Mac user since '84.. Due to ISP 'upgrade of email server' I was forced to give up Eudora, the best email client ever made which I used since 1994, and now I'm stuck using Thunderbird, which is a clumsy piece of garbage barely better than all the other garbage email clients I tried.

Now after 4 mths use, all of a sudden a T-bird "archive" holding months of important email suddenly disappeared. I can restore from Time machine but that would erase the work I spent all morning writing as well as the text and graphic files I downloaded since the last backup.

Any ideas as to how I can keep this garbage application from Mozilla from erasing archived email in the future?

I have been unable to find the settings that would let me keep my entire archive of Gmail messages in Thunderbird, while deleting them from Gmail. I would continue to send and receive emails through my Gmail account.

Headers contain a lot of information not useful such as X-UIDL, X-Mozilla status, Return path, received from, etc.. How do I get rid of it. I tried to find it in settings, but didn't find anything. Thanks for your help André

Hello, I have had to suppress my account ( company mail via gmail adress) on Thunderbird, and now I cannot finish the installation; when connecting to Gmail; It says that the serveur can't process the request... could you help me finding what is making trouble. Thanks a lot. Kind regards

It is the vast input of ads being posted onto my email account. It is not just one - the same ads repeats itself 4, 5 or more times. I do not see any where to block them or how to keep thisd from happening on a daily basis. It is really picking up momentum. It is too much and I need your help. Thank you Jean Williams

I have numerous tabs appearing to the left of my inbox icon which I do not want reappearing as prefer to just work from Local Folders. It was suggested I right click on any tab and select close all tabs which works well but is not a permeant fix as will have to just repeat the action each time I open the programme.

Is there a permanent fix for my problem.

I tried to do a print screen but could not manage it.

There is one folder in Thunderbird, which I don't know what it is for. It has a weird name, doesn't contain any messages and cannot be removed.

It is the folder with this 'name': ®®¤4\

Name cannot be changed either.

Does anyone know where it is for?

I recently struggled with an issue where Thunderbird was not downloading all my mail from my Gmail account. I was following all the settings in Thunderbird that would allow that, but it didn't work.

I discovered a single, lone, reddit comment that explained what was going on: you have to change a Gmail setting: they say

"Resurrecting this because nobody posted the actual answer. In Gmail under "Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP", under "Folder size limits", there is a "Limit IMAP folders to contain no more than this many messages", which defaults to 1000 (for me anyway, on my work account). "

Can this be added to the Thunderbird documentation? There are various places that talk about getting all IMAP mail, and about working with Gmail. It seems that those could mention this setting.

I am not receiving certain emails. For example, I set up an account for an appliance and was instructed to follow the instructions in the email they sent, but I have not received an email from them. I checked to make sure I entered the correct address. I also haven't received emails that contain codes to continue.
