Please fix the issue since I cant print receipt using our POS and the file is not in the printer que. I think firefox dont send the file directly to printer since other browser does not have any problem with it, I can even print using notepad.

Firefox recently enforced an update. After this update, I can no longer open file browser for attachments if a website offers this option (example: this very form, Browse... button does nothing). I can also not Save to PDF any more. In both instances, a spinning wheel will appear and then nothing will occur.

Whenever I click download on an audio file it takes me to a new tab with firefoxes audio player. I see no download button and I have seen that some people have to hold down (what I appears to be called a “long press”) on the player but it does absolutely nothing for me. How can I download my audio files?

When I try saving a json response from a server that requires login, saving doesn’t save the content that is loaded in the browser. Instead, it seems to repeat the request to the endpoint serving the json without auth which results to saving an unauthenticated version of file.

I am using “share” menu which offers to save the response as file, but the end result is not what is expected.

If necessary, I can provide more information in order to replicate the error.

How do I name my windows? How do I save my windows with multiple tabs?

I have been using Chrome for a while and have created many named windows on different subjects with multiple tabs. Chrome repeatedly would become slow and need to be rebooted to update and would then erase all my windows. I could get some of them back by using the history function but often their would be some windows missing. If you search for this subject in help on Chrome to see if there is any help there are other people saying the same thing but there is no reasonable response and comments are disabled.

Firefox web browser will not download latest firefox browser from firefox website! It comes up with this "Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to download.mozilla.org because this website requires a secure connection."

I posted this a while back but the person who responded didn't understand the issue..

For the past year or so every single thing I download from Firefox ESR has a padlock. The padlock doesn't prevent me opening files but it only started recently and no changes to my PC or Firefox settings.

Examples:

• Download a PDF attachment from an email.
• When on ANY website if I click 'print' and save the page as a PDF to my PC.
• Since this week alone: Export bookmarks to HTML now saving to desktop with padlock.

To be clear: This is strictly a Firefox issue... To test I opened https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/firefox in FF, clicked 'print', saved to desktop as PDF and the PDF has a padlock. Opened the same page on Edge did the same thing and the PDF has no padlock. (The person who responded thought it had to do with security settings on the website I was on, this 'test' clearly shows it's a FF issue.)

There are no padlocks on ANY file or folder I create myself. I have to remove every padlock manually by adding 'users' under properties/edit/add,

IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS ISSUE?

During the last few weeks, an annoying problem has started up whenever I've had to download a file sent to me as an attachment in Outlook email. The original filename is changed by adding a prefix "UTF-8" to each name. This occurs over various different file formats, including Word documents, ExCel files and PDF files, although I haven't confirmed it for all file types as I mostly work with these three.

Can anyone explain this? More importantly, can anyone suggest a fix? If it continues, I will have to change browser...

Hi, can someone please help. I just updated Firefox this morning to version 139. Then went to a bank site to download a CSV file of transactions - something I've been doing for many years. I click the button to 'Export Activity (CSV)' and then a pop-up window comes asking me if I want to open or save the file. Another window opens, headed 'Enter name of file to save to' and shows me the folders and has boxes at the bottom 'File name' and 'Save as type'. Here is where the problem starts. The 'Save as type' box usually has CSV in it, but now it's greyed out. The only option there is 'All files'. So I have to select that, and after I press OK then another window comes up giving the folder path and filename and saying 'File not found, Check the filename and try again'. I also get a Windows Security message saying 'Unauthorised changes blocked, Controlled folder access blocked firefox.exe from making changes'. I should stress again that none of this has ever happened before so I suspect it must be related to the Firefox update. I was able to download from the same site on Microsoft Edge with no problems.
