I recently purchased a dell refurbished computer, I set it up went and downloaded fire fox without any trouble. I restarted computer today and it would not accept password I called DiscountcomputerDepot.com help and they helped me to restart and they told me they would have to reinstall windows from computer. So I lost all my programs. when it restarted said would have to update windows. I got a new Acer laptop with windows 11 (64bit). I downloaded FF but when I open it, it just gives a blank page. If I type in an address nothing happens. I have tried reinstalling but nothing seems to work

My name is Ivo. I use Thunderbird for all my Email-Accounts. Now I wanted to add another one, which is info@ivo-zimmermann.ch, but it does not work (pls see screenshots in the attachment).

info@ivo-zimmermann.ch works fine when I login directly on Gmail, it also worked fine to login here into the mozilla support. Also all other accounts that I have (for example info@kanai-zimmermann.ch) were no problem to install.

Do you have an idea where the problem is?

Hello, my computer died but before it did i backed up my Thunderbird profile files - the backup is 77.8GB so big to zip using export. I installed Thunderbird v.102.8.0 64 bit; and copied my backed up files over and now my email account list shows when clicking the dropdown arrow next to "get messages" but the email account list (72 email accounts) does not show in the left hand pane.

I have attached images of what I see, what is showing in app data - both local and roaming, and also of both .ini files.

Using the troubleshooting setting the software is pointing to the correct location.

I would truly appreciate your help.

Hello, I moved from TB 102 to 115 some months ago. I've just noticed that TB appears two times in my Win10 22H2 Apps & Features:

I'm tempted to use Uninstall on the 102.3.0 occurrence but I don't want to mess things up. What is the best way to remove the duplicate in Apps & Features? Thanks.

I was having trouble receiving emails and I couldn't work out the problem. I deleted my mail account and re-added it. Now all my folders are gone. I can see them in my profile, but can't work out how to get them back into Thunderbird mail. Please help

On my previous Win10 PC when I clicked on Thunderbird it gave me a menu of my email accounts to select one. I've just moved to Windows 11 and it seems to install all the email accounts together which is a nightmare for me. How do I get back to menu selection of individual email accounts.

Finally! I successfully migrated from Eudora 7, but I had to use TB 17.  Where do I go from here?

I'm running a Mac (10.12.6) with different flavors of Windows in different Parallels VM's, and in order to keep my Eudora install safe I did the conversion on a Win 10 32-bit VM on my creaky old MacBookPro which is disconnected from my network.

So now I want to get a current version of TB running with my newly minted TB data on my primary desktop computer. Typically I am concurrently running the following Parallels VM's: Win 7 32-bit, Win 10 32-bit and Win 10 64-bit.

Makes no difference to me which VM I start with, I just don't know how to get from TB17 on my laptop to TB95(?) on one of my desktop VM's.

This is a very bizarre problem. Basically I can't install any Firefox addon neither on my desktop OR may laptop. I noticed this issue just couple of days ago. When I try to install any addon normally, from a link, it tells me that the addon can't be installed because the file is corrupt. Tried several addons, all same problem. On my desktop AND on my laptop. On my desktop I'm running ver. 103, but on my laptop I still had ver. 102.1, so there is no Firefox update issue. When I try to install addon from xpi file, it tells me that I have no permission to open that file and that's it. I tried to take ownership of that file but it didn't solve the issue I tried to disable my AV program, but it didn't do anything. On my laptop, I tried to refresh FF, no help. I tried to start FF in safe mode, same problem. I created new profile, same issue. Eventually, I totally uninstalled FF, removing program itself, removing Appdata folder and even registry entry. Installed fresh copy of FF, same problem exists. Then, I noticed one thing. When I tried to sync fresh FF installation on my laptop, it synced everything, EXCEPT for addons. So, something is preventing me doing anything regarding addons. Themes install just fine. I've struggling with this problem since yesterday and at this point I totally ran out of any fresh ideas how to solve this issue, thus posting here. I'll appreciate any fresh idea as what to do next. Hello, I have my thunderbird data files (emails, etc.) on a separate drive. I had windows, apps on an SSD. The ssd got corrupted so I had to reinstall. Now I need to have Thunderbird point to the files on the separate drive. I have been trying to figure it out from your support articles but it gets way too confusing, especially since the new version of Thunderbird is different from the version I had before. Can you help me? Thank you

I try to install Firefox on a HP Z1 G8 desktop under Windows 11 Pro. The first time I get a warning that a .dll is not available or so (I dont know what this warning is precisely, becaus it pops up for 2 seconds only ) , and firefox is not well installed, reinstalling goes without warning, but still Firefox starts and then stay dead, no sites, no settings. I know the security in this computer is very thight, but other apps install without problem and functions.

Why Firefox cant be installed where other apps can ??????

Hi all I recently bought a new laptop that has to be exchanged as it's faulty. I had no problem moving my profile from my win 10 laptop to the new win 11 one, however I now need to put all my emails back to my old laptop and although I can go through the import procedure when I restart Thunderbird none of the new emails are there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Version 102.2.2 goes "unresponsive" when I click get messages for several minutes, eventually will download one or two emails, but they are ones I have already deleted, and occur multiple times. Can I go back to version 91? Where can I get the install file? Since the problem started with the update its a problem with it, not antivirus software. There are no other programs using significant cpu time while t'bird is unresponsive. This is critical, I will have to find another email program if you don't fix this soon.

Firefox wasn't working well on a seldom-used laptop, and the update to 100.0.1 didn't go quite right, so I deleted the old version and (using the odious Edge) tried downloading a fresh copy of the software.

But then I get a message from "7-ZIP" that reads "Can not create temp folder archive"

I currently have TB 102 running on a Linux Mint desktop. The email is POP3 from att (actually snet). They require a different app password for each computer. I have the different app password. I want to use my Linux Mint laptop to access my email and use a backup of the desktop's profile when the desktop is out of service. Laptop does not have any .thunderdird folder yet as TB has not been started. I am looking at the http://mzl.la/1ApHiU3 support page. It seems that these instructions are replacing Laptop's hidden .thunderbird folder with desktop's .thunderbird folder. This seems odd since Step3 of "On your Destination Computer", opens Thunderbird. Won't that create a .thunderbird folder with new installs.ini and profiles.ini files? They will be replaced in Step8.

I am concerned that Step3's newly created .ini files (which have a different hash that links them) will be lost in Step8 and there is some dependency on that hash value that is not clear. Is that hash sent to the email server so that they can identify the machine/app that is accessing their server?

Is there a more appropriate support page for what I need to do? I am not clear on the subsequent steps to launch TB on the laptop and change the password on the laptop. At some point I would need to reverse the direction to bring the Laptop's Profile back to the Desktop. Any advice would be appreciated.
