You keep changing things so much it is getting more a little aggravating to have to dismiss each. Today I had to figure out what was wrong with my login. I still don't know why it was no longer good and set up a new account which seems to be working.

I don't want to have to keep re-learning everything and having to reestablish all my information just be able to check my mail. I continue to get more and spam in my inbox because people trick you online into sigining up for daily posts etc. I especially don't like having to change my password so often because your system wants it. I don't. I just want a program that shows my email, not advertising from every idiot on the internet.

Please, keep the changes to a minimum. I seldom see any great difference from one version to another anyway. Wouldn't it be helpful not to have recreate Thunderbird all over again?

I am setting up a new email address on Thunderbird. I enter a new email address and when I enter password it is rejected. I have removed all previous emails and passwords

I am trying to create a totally new email address in Thunderbird. I am not importing an existing email. I am creating a new email. But the instructions provided by Thunderbird are out of date or inaccurate. When you follow their instructions you will only find the option to use an existing account to add to thunderbird. Can anyone help?

For some reason, my TB client has a conflict with my ISP provider with TB and my personal Yahoo account. When I try to authenticate my personal Yahoo account, the authentication box pops up in TB, but it points to my ISP Yahoo account with the login instead of my private Yahoo account login. I have deleted my ISP Yahoo account. Everything was fine last year; now, today, I can't authenticate my private Yahoo account in the Authentication box (screenshot below). It's not giving my personal Yahoo account security. It's giving my ISP provider login, it's Rogers.

Any clues as to why?

on the list of current sign ins I am unable to click “sign out” of the oldest account on the list.

with a couple others it quickly signed me out, but this on is not.

I have recently updated my PC and I have re-installed Thunderbird. However, Thunderbird will not allow more than 2 GMail accounts to be set-up. I get Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username pr password. It is a gmail account, so the system automatically recognizes it. I have made double and triple sure that the user email and password is correct. I have even made my password smaller to ensure it is not the length of my password that Thunderbird has a problem with. Furthermore I have made sure that the outgoing server label is also unique. Despite all that, I am still unable to add a third Gmail account. Can you please help

Using Thunderbird 146 on Win 10. Trying to add existing mail accounts as already did in early Thunderbird 17. 1. one pop account (gmx.net) added successfully. 2. one imap account (gmx.net) added successfully. 3. trying to set up further pop accounts of gmx.net end in waiting loop although data check of program is ok. Checked and verified muliple times server data, account and pw.

I have a new Mozilla (FireFox) account and keep getting emails that say I need to confirm it. They include a button to do so but I'm not clicking it unless I get better information from you. Please help. The email swears my account will be deleted if I don't confirm it. What do I do?

I previously granted permission for Thunderbird to access an account. How do I remove this permission and where does it store the emails locally so I can delete them?

I am trying to re-set my login. I have the correct pwrd . When Thunderbird finds my account and I click on "done" , the message "incoming servicr already exists". After that nothing happens.

I want to remove one of my old email accounts. I need to use the Account Actions button, but it isn't showing. I've read everything about how to get the button to appear, but nothing works. I'm using the latest update to Thunderbird. My menu bar is showing. All the setting for each email account are showing. One suggestion was to click on the small button in the lower left corner, but the small button I have just opens the account settings, no Account Actions.

Is anyone familiar with this issue and how to get that Account Actions button to show?
