I have followed these instructions for deleting all bookmarks at once but Firefox isn't responding to these commands so I have to delete each bookmark individually. To delete a lot of bookmarks at once, use the Library dialog. Either: * Ctrl+Shift+b * Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks In the left panel, click Bookmarks Menu. In the right panel, click the top item you want to remove, then press Shift+End to select all the way to the bottom, then right-click > Delete.

Hello everyone, I wrote an add-on for my own personal use. I don't intend to publish it. So naturally, it isn't verified, but I trust it. I am able to install the add-on as a temporary add-on under about:debugging, and it works as intended. The manifest file contains "browser_specific_settings": {

} I would now like to install the add-on permanently. So I packaged it as a zip file. The zip file contains the files directly without a parent folder. Under about:config I set xpinstall.signatures.required, xpinstall.whitelist.required and extensions.langpacks.signatures.required to false. Then I went to about:addons clicked on install add-on from file and selected the zip file. I got the error message: "This addon could not be installed because it has not been verified". I am using Firefox for archlinux, version 112.0.

What am I missing? How can I install this addon?

Since updating to OS Ventura 13.3.1 Firefox crashes 10 seconds after opening. Trying to open in troubleshoot mode doesn’t help, neither did a clean reinstall of the application. Meanwhile the browser still works on my iPhone and an older laptop running Monterey.

How do I enable container tabs? The option to open a new link in a container tab has disappeared and the prompt doesn't show up when I long press the new tab button either

Block autoplay not working on 112.0.2. I've tried going into about:config and changing settings. Doesn't help. Also under "Settings \ Permissions \ Autoplay" shows default for all websites as "Block Audio and Video" and under Websites "About:Welcome" shows as "Allow audio and video." I've changed the About:Welcome to block audio and video. I've also tried clicking the Remove All Websites button to delete the exception. Neither works. I save changes, exit Firefox, and restart. Same settings as before, and autoplay still starts.

How can I stop Thunderbird from doing that?

I have had mixed results with Thunderbird's spam filters. First, even though I have a Personal Address book filter as follows: From -> is in my address book -> Personal Address Book

  Set Junk Status to -> Not Junk
  Move Message to -> Inbox
  Stop Filter Execution

at the top of my filter list, some items get set to the spam folder anyway. Not sure why this happens.

But the problem I am writing about today is spammers who will modify their subject headers to penetrate simple filters, as follows: Subject -> contains -> Re: Take Advantage of this Offer

The spammer is beating my filter by munging the wording, for example TakeAdvantage-of-this, Offer

So I tried changing it to: Subject Regex Match -> matches -> Take[:print:]*Advantage[:print:]*of[:print:]*this[:print:]*Offer

Hi, I made a theme but have since not used it and swapped to another. Everytime I open the browser, it swaps back to the one I made for some reason. Under themes, it will still say the one that is showing is the chosen theme, but it most certainly is the one I made. I turn on another theme and toggle back to the chosen theme and it then changes correctly. Any idea why that could be?

I want to import an OPML file with RSS feeds into Thunderbird. However, the option to import feeds is not shown under Tools -> Import as your site says it should be (see the screenshot). There also is no Import option shown when I select the RSS account. I am using Thunderbird 102 on Windows 11.

Cloudflare believes it is protecting itself from online attacks when accessed by Firefox. The same site worked perfectly today, on the same computer, using Google Chrome.

Cloudflare is a major CDN and many important commercial sites, like Costco Instacart, have their content delivered by Cloudflare so this is a major issue with Firefox. For the moment there is a work-around, use Chrome instead, but it would be better to have Firefox address issues with Cloudflare.

Drag and drop has stopped working since the latest update in Thunderbird. i have tried restarting in safe mode with add ons disabled but drag and drop still does not work. Any ideas on what might fix this problem please.

I would like to expand my existing pgp key to another email address which is an alias to my primary email address. I don't find any information about that anywhere; is it possible within thunderbird? If not, is it possible to do this on the command line without breaking thunderbird's pgp integration?
