I had stopped using Firefox due to the lack of being able to preview pictures or attachments in gmail. I started back to using it and see it still the same thing! A panel opens up asking me either to choose how to open it or top save it. Obviously if its a .jpg I want to preview it, then decide what I want to do with it. How do I fix this so I can just preview quickly?

I recently switched to a dual boot system and got Ubuntu 20.04.1. If I want to watch Netflix for example I cannot because of DRM settings (at least the pop-up of Firefox says so). Other video and audio content is working fine so far. The guidelines on what to do to solve the problem like this

won't work unfortunately. Does someone have any other idea what to possibly do?

Hi, .html files which I've downloaded onto my hard drive as complete web pages won't work if they are moved to another directory. Is there a work-around for this ? Thanks in advance. afk

Web mail continues to work OK. On 17 or 18 Mar 2021, Thunderbird quit working for 1 of 2 email accounts. Removing and re-establishing the email account (on Thunderbird) doesn't work ("re-test" does OK but "done" bombs out; says there is a config or pw problem (taskbar indicates its trying to access "inbound"). Verified the config prior to removing/re-establishing the T-bird acct. The other acc't continues to work OK in T-bird. Both accounts using same Pop3 & SMTP ports. T-bird ver: 78.8.1 build ID 20210304234616, updated 20 Mar 2021 (note this is after the problem started) (updates occur automatically) prev version 78.7.1 on 17 Feb 21.

There are misspelled words in the dictionary used by Thunderbird. Two questions similar to mine were answered by the suggestion of selecting Write, then options / spelling, then edit Personal Dictionary. When I followed these instructions, I found that my Personal Dictionary did not contain the misspelled words which were being accepted by whatever dictionary was being used. E.G., if I misspelled the word "just " as "jsut", this was accepted. Is there another dictionary which needs to be corrected?

All of a sudden I cannot see my Unified folders. I have to go to each e-mail address to see what e-mails have come in to my Inbox.

I liked the option of using Unified folders so I could see the e-mails from all my different e-mail addresses on one page.

Please help.

This problem just started in the last couple of hours.

Until a month or so ago, when starting t.bird, all I had to do was click on the icon. Now I have to choose my user profile each time even though default is checked. Baby steps please.

having troubles with Comcast email obviously using FF 87.0 (64bit) after hours on the phone and the problem being elevated to what Xfinity said level 4 ....they tell me it is in my settings.......I can login fine in private browser.....lost as to why I cannot in my normal browsing mode....help

Thunderbird will not open a Twitter link emailed to my Thunderbird. It worked just fine till a few months ago. Gives a msg 'this file does not have an app associated with it. With a right click I can 'copy link location' and paste it into Firefox address line.

When I drag hyperlinks from a website into my Thunderbird draft, the links are perfectly fine. Double clicking on them shows the link is correct. After sending the message, going to click on the hyperlink in the sent e-mail, in the preview little thing in the bottom left corner where it shows where the hyperlink will take you, it has added like 5-10 spaces inside of link which renders it useless and takes me to an error 404 page. The links work perfectly on the website where I dragged them from and in the draft but once I hit send, those links basically become corrupted and no longer work.

My latest version on Thunderbird is installed on 2 Windows 10 PC's. I have 2 mail accounts on att.com. Today I tried to get my e-mails I got this message on both computers "Sending of password for user yuri101@prodigy.net did not succeed. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: Server error - Please try again late". I was able to get e-mail for the second account on both computers (both account go to the same unbound server, I just use 2 different ids). I'm able to get e-mail for both accounts using my phone. I can also access both accounts on att.com. I tried to enter invalid password on my pc, but got the same error. Please help - I'm running out of the ideas. Thanks, Yuri

I'm trying to find an answer to a question about Thunderbird. I type it into the "Find help..." box. I get a page with a small number (maybe 10?) results. The first page of results doesn't seem to help. Neither do the next five pages. I suggest letting users choose the number of results per page. Being forced to click the "next" link on every page is slow and tedious. Hitting the "Page down" key on my keyboard is much faster, partly because I don't have to use the mouse.

When looking at the Release Notes for Thunderbird, it says _As always, you’re encouraged to tell us what you think_, but the link https://support.mozilla.org/questions/new/thunderbird doesn't have a way to tell you what I think. Am I missing something? Thanks.

I visit sites which require password changes on a regular basis and each time I do this I save the login details in Firefox.

Now I have sites where over 20 login options are displayed.

I want to delete all of the expired login combinations but when I try to manage the passwords I only have the latest (correct) combination displayed.

How do I prune my password lists to remove obsolete details but retain the current ones?

Can this be done by exporting the list, editing it externally and then re-importing? I don't want to try and then lose this useful feature.

I am trying to minimize Firefox, but the minimize icon in the upper right-hand corner is missing. I am still able to close Firefox using the 'X' in the upper right corner of the window, but I am unable to minimize or restore. All other applications still have these icons available.

Hi I am trying to print my emails to include all the header info; to, from, date, subject. As i recall this used to work, but it will now only print the body of the mail. Hope someone can help. Thanks

I need to see an old email that was in my Trash older several weeks ago. I found my system backups from right after the date I need, and I found the Trash and Trash.msf files the Thunderbird profile files. I renamed these files OldTrash and put them into the profile folder on my active system. How do I get Thunderbird to open the OldTrash file and show me the emails that are in it?

Do Firefox's title bar buttons change depending on custom Windows 10 themes (I hope that made sense)? Whenever I choose a custom theme (from DeviantArt) those buttons look out of place, any way to fix this? EMAIL DISPLAY IN GMAIL: Hello. All of my emails open the first page okay, but an increasing number of action pages in emails do not open. Those pages contain forms to fill out, petitions to sign, and donations to make. This problem began in late February/early March (FF 86&87).

The tech support at EveryAction.com said she thought they need Javascript to open, but I couldn't find any setting or add-on in FF to enable/disable Javascript. I don't know why all of their action pages have been opening fine for years--maybe it's related to FF's new versions. I tried adding Policy Control because it supposedly enables/disables Javascript but it didn't solve my problem.
