In my main profile, restore session stopped working. The option is set, but it doesn't work. It worked for 3 years since I created this profile, but now it doesn't work.
Recently, this profile has been crashing regularly on quit. I quit (CRTL-Q) and the window does away, then 10 seconds later, I get a pop up message saying that firefox crashed.
Just a moment ago, I had a system crash and now this profile refuses to restore my session. When I started it, there was a new session and all the backup session files contain new sessions, not my tabs. Lost all tabs.
Anyone else seeing this?

Here is a Jsfiddle URL URL which points to Twitter Tweet Button JS / HTML code which I am attempting to embed into a website.
When I load the above in Google Chrome 84 the Tweet Button appears and I can share out the URL of the web page in which the Tweet button is embedded, with no unexpected results.
When I try to do the same with Mozilla Firefox 79.0, in Private Mode, and disabling uBlock extension, the Tweet button does NOT appear, only the "Tweet" text. When I click on the Tweet text, I can not share out the URL as expected.
I am wondering what specifically in Mozilla Firefox could be introducing the problem.

I think Firefox has blocked my access to my hotmail account.
When I put this into my URL: outlook.live.com
it goes to main page - OK
But when I put this into my URL: outlook.live.com/mail
I get a blank screen . . . and the security icon to the near left of the padlock on browser does not have an option to unblock my mail.
I find no help at hotmail/msn. But my daughter used her phone and got into my mail there - so I think it might be my security setting on Firefox.
Any help will be appreciated.

Getting attached error when logging into Zendesk. I've been on with their support already.
Steps: Clearing data, private window. Safe Mode. All extensions disabled. Enhanced Privacy disabled. Check other browsers - successful with Midori and Chromium. Check other OS - I have a win10 vm with Firefox and get the same result. Check other zendesk sites - My company's domain + support.zendesk.com
I confirmed with their support that anyone can create an account at support.zendesk.com so I'm hoping someone that knows what they are doing can see what is up with this site.

I sometimes invoke firefox on Linux by running the command
`firefox --new-tab` (with no argument to the new tab flag, I have this hooked to a keyboard shortcut).
This has always worked fine (opens a new instance of firefox if none is running; opens a new tab in the open window if there is one). Today I upgraded to Firefox 79.0, and unfortunately it seems that now running the above command opens a new window even if I already have one open. I guess this is a regression?

I had originally upgraded to Ubuntu 20.04 from 18.04. Had an issue and I had to reload 20.04. Things seem stable now. I went to restore my bookmarks. Went to Library Icon and clicked on it, but there was no IMPORT and BACKUP button. I even went to the Menu Icon and clicked on it to see if that would work. Nope.
I'm running 79.0. What did I do, but better yet, how do I fix this????

So the problem is that Firefox doesn't play any HTML5 content. Weirdly except for Youtube. Youtube works just fine. But every other Website shows errors. Even songsterr.com. I'm using latest Firefox 76.0.1 on a recent Ubuntu 20. 04 LTS installation. Usual troubleshooting like updates doesnt work because "sudo apt-get upgrade" doesn't find any updates. I tried the same websites in the latest version of Chromium and they work perfectly fine. I couldn't find a mistake in the firefox settings or something so I'm confused. Disabling Plugins didn't change anything and turning of tracking protection didn't either. What is the Problem here and how can I solve it?

I am trying to package Firefox, with the browsers auto update disabled (updates are handled by the package manager, not the browser; having Firefox prompt at the user may cause confusion). However, I haven't been able to Firefox's nagging with recent (77+) versions.
I have tried writing a policies.json file seems to have no effect. In fact, Firefox didn't even look in system directories like /etc and /lib64/firefox. Is this an Enterprise Firefox feature? Is it even possible to share a single installation of Firefox between users (having their personal prefs in their home directories, ofcourse).
Thanks in advance!

Firefox 79(64bit) - two problems - may be connected
After two recent updates on Fedora 32 I notice that saving/downloading a webpage does not work properly. Sometimes the *.html file is there but the support folder is empty. Sometimes just the empty folder.
I have also noticed a problem when trying to backup .mp3 files from my Nexus tablet using File Transfer. I used to be able to connect via USB from Desktop to tablet, transfer from and delete files on the tablet using the Desktop. Now the folder holding the files is reported as empty.

TL/DR: See the image. ;)
I'm on Ubuntu 20.04 (Xubuntu flavor), using Firefox 79.0, working on a web site. I'm coding specifically for Arial... and it's returning Times New Roman.
I have Arial installed, via the ttf-mscorefonts package and also adding them from a Win10 box.
Please, no "But you should do 'font-family: Arial, Veranda, sans-serif'" dismissive answers. Why? Because if I do "font-family: Arial, Veranda" I still get Times New Roman. I can even substitute "Pulsar Beta" here (a font that is installed to my local account) and it still gives me Times New Roman.
If I do "font-family: sans-serif" I get Veranda, not Arial... which is odd because Arial is my default font.
Doing "font-family: Veranda" gets my Times New Roman.
Chrome doesn't have this issue!
As a picture is worth a thousand words, see the pic.
What can I do? I did see some bugs that were fixed in v56, but none of the debugging tips help there.

For quite a while now, I've had this issue where at seemingly arbitrary intervals with seemingly arbitrary queries, Firefox will generate a prompt underneath my address bar asking whether I wanted to go to "http://<searchquery>" where <searchquery> is, well, my search query.
This only occurs in a search in the address bar, and any future queries identical to the original <searchquery> will either redirect to a centurylink search engine, or take me to "<searchquery>.com".
This has occurred independent of the operating system (I've discovered this on both Windows and Linux.) This has occurred before on a completely fresh install of Firefox (default settings and no extensions), and a fresh install of either operating system. (So it's probably not some virus or misconfiguration.)
Another common response I've found is that it's something related to the ISP. For that I can't answer for sure, but I can clarify that my current ISP is Telus.
This doesn't bother me too much, as it's a bug that can be mitigated by just ignoring the prompt. But it's just such an odd inexplicable inconsistency that rarely occurs and I've yet to come across a solution that does properly explain it.
