Most of the files (Inbox, sent etc.) were migrated to the new computer correctly. But 2 of them not. There are in the same folder as the ones migrated correctly but Thunderbird seems to ignore them.

I have am helping a friend migrate from one emal provider to another. His email account was under Heart Internet umbrella and servers were imap.extencp.co.uk mta.extendcp.co.uk. When we loaded thundebird, it picked up all email off the servers fine. We have now changed hosting account and mail servers are now titan i.e imap.titan.email and smp.titan.email. email account name stays the same. If I change the incoming and outgoing servers in Thunderbird will it now get new emails, while retaining in the inbox the older emails already downloaded from the old servers. Man Thanks Ken

I do not have the entire \Thunderbird folder from my crashed computer I only have the profile folder: tbzin4l5.default

I installed Thunderbird (68.9.0) on a new computer and copied this folder to \AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles and used different methods to set it as the default profile.

For example, I set it manually using https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/thunderbird/install-migrate-and-update and I also used the thunderbird.exe -profilemanager command

Thunderbird always opens the profile fine the first time and I can see all my email and email accounts. When I close Thunderbird and try to reopen it, it appears very briefly before crashing.

If when I open it the first time and send an email, close and reopen the screen is as per the attached screen shot. Clicking about causes it to crash again.

I have tried many times to uninstall Thunderbird, delete the \AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird and reinstall, and the results are the same.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I should now have a Tools -> ImportExportTools -> "import mbox file" command. I don't. The add on shows in Add Ons window. The version is compatible with latest build and have restarted. Still no option in Tools that allows mbox import

Hi. I recently upgraded my to a samsung galaxy A10, moved everything from the old phone, no problem, Firefox as default browser was working, then after a recent update I can't get internet access, I get this message:-

unexpected response from server firefox doesn't know how to communicate with the server. 1 check to make sure your system has the personal security manager installed 2 this might be due to a non-standard configuration on the server

what does that mean, and how can i retrieve the situation, and why did it happen in the first place? simple english please, i'm confused enough that i lost the connection in the first place thanks

Due to runing Windows 7 and Microsoft no longer supporting this, I purchased a new Laptop, this came with windows 10 s installed, although I can switch to Windows 10, apparently it is not recommended and switching back would be impossible, but with Windows 10 s installed, you can not load Firefox or bookmarks, as Firefox has not been approved by Windows. If anyone can give any information or advice, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Recently migrated to new Mac laptop (MacOS 10.15.2). Installed latest Thunderbird (68.9.0).

Sometimes Thunderbird hangs, and I need to restart. On restart, it asks for account name, rebuilds folders, and creates new (empty) address books.

Related question. Should I delete all the xxxxxxx.default-release-x folders except the latest one?

I have created a list, and now want to put addresses into the list. I highlight the addresses, and then left click and hold the mouse to drag to the list. But it does not show a drag icon, nor does it drop into the list. Can you steer me in the correct direction?

I need to be able to save downloads to different selected locations. For example: to the Desktop or to a file called "Invoices". I have selected the option within "General" that requires that I be asked where to save, but neither "Invoices" nor Desktop appear as an option when the list appears. I have created a file called "Invoices", but do not know why it is not appearing as a choice. Desktop is also not a choice.

As my current Zimbra Webmail account is due to expire, I was wondering if I would be able to migrate/mirror this account using Mozilla Thunderbird, while keeping the original Inbox hierarchy i.e. all folders and sub-folders that exist can be seamlessly transferred with all of their labels and associated email message content. I would also like to be able to migrate the Sent folder with its respective content.

I've been able to download the Zimbra .tgz file and have extracted files and folders to my PC and have been frustratingly trying to figure out how to import the folder labels/hierarchy/respective email content into GMail, but with no success albeit having successfully imported the Zimbra Webmail account (POP3) into GMail.

Hi everyone, I recently installed Firefox in a new Mac, I've been using Firefox in my old MacBook Pro without a problem, but in the new one, it keeps showing the installation "disk" and when I try to eject it it says it's busy... do you know what I should do to install it definitively? I need to install Firefox NEW on an XP laptop. I need the (newest) old version that will install on the XP downloaded to THIS (Windows 10) computer and "Sneaker-netted" to the XP. Then I presume I will be able to download the NEWEST version that will run under XP and do the upgrade. What I received was indistinguishable from the most current version, when I tried to get 43.0.1. Help?

It's already 2 days that I'm trying to sync my outlook email on Thunderbird, but it just isn't working. The emails I send from outlook web do not get synced locally in thunderbird; only those that I send directly from the local thunderbird application do appear.

I've double checked server options and deleted/reconfigured the account; no deal.

I'm not sure why thunderbird is not syncing the IMAP folders. Is there any solution?

I successfully downloaded Thunderbird 68.9.0.dmg, opened it and installed Thunderbird on my macbook pro (running macOS Sierra 10.12.6) .

I also added the ImportexporttoolsNG for importing a .mbox file later on.

I managed to get my gmail emails into Thunderbird but did not opt for complete integration (not yet anyway). So Thunderbird is not yet my default email client.

But, when I re-started the mac, both the Thunderbird application icon and the disk icon on my desktop disappeared. I can't find any Thunderbird file on the laptop. All that is left is the downloaded .dmg file.

Any suggestions as to what might be wrong?

I have a contract with Namesco. They recently asked me to change my e-mail address. I agreed.

I had already announced the change to a number of my e-mail addresses, but hadn't done all.

On the night of the disconnection of the old e-mail address all e-mails in my inbox, which I had received since 01/01/20 (about 18000), became empty. The announcement of the incoming addresses remains, but when I open them there is no content. I still have content for previous years (e.g. 2019). No problem there.

My question is: I have back ups (time machine as well as others); how do I retrieve the original e-mails from my back ups - if at all possible?

I haven't contacted Namesco yet. I would like to know first whether my backups help.
