when i am downloading something my phone restarts even if i re install the app it still restart. I tried downloading at Chrome and my phone doesn't restart only at firefox restart my phone can you please fix this as soon as possible i need to download stuff here for my module thank you..

Very often when clicming the adress bar (almost always on sites like old.reddit.com, the app just stops responding and I must reopen it. I'd like a solution that won't involve removing all my bookmarks, history and saved data.

Going to full screen on YouTube (and other video websites) usually breaks the Firefox app on pixel 7 pro. It keeps playing but just closes and can't be reopened. I have to stop the app, open it again, and try again. Does anyone know how to fix this?

On youtube mobile site or a reddit video, when I click the bottom right button to fullscreen the video, a message pops up that says 'entering fullscreen mode' (with a firefox logo on the left of the message) and then firefox closes and I'm at my android home page

This seems to happen when I watch videos in a new instance. If I reopen firefox to the video and then try fullscreen again, it goes full screen no problem. So basically it's annoying and happens when I try to watch any video full screen for the first time.

Is this a known bug? Wasn't an issue on my old phone (I just got the galaxy s23).

Firefox is fully updated from playstore. Only addons installed is ublock origin and Privacy Badger

I left a critical review on the Play Store recently at the time of writing this regarding how, for years, the Firefox Android App would crash whenever I try to check the 'Downloads' page. This happened on at least 3 different devices over the years, and still does to this day. Because of this issue, Firefox no longer notifies me the time takes for a download completion in my notifications; only that it's completed once it does.

Whenever firefox is running in the background waiting to be used, it crashes as soon as i click an external link or open the application from my home screen. Opening the app after not using it for 5 minutes causes the app to freeze, and won’t respond until the app is restarted completely.

Poco F2 Pro is hard crashing requiring device reboot, starting maybe a week ago, and has happened three times. I don't know if it's hardware related but I've not seen the behaviour in other apps. I'm not using beta version.

Frequently crashes without warning, pages lag constantly where scrolling down is impossible, even after the page is refreshed. Creates way too many new tabs (like 50 a day) and ads mess up the design of the webpage.

History tab view shows an image of tab value but does nothing when a tab is selected, opens a blank pane. Click-hold on tab thumbnail causes browser to crash. IOS Firefox current versions. iPhone SE 3rd gen.

I am posting this issue at the request of E from Firefox's app developer feedback after I submitted an app review.

The app continues to be unstable on my Pixel 6a (latest OS, Android 13) after freezing up on what appears to be any heavily scrolled pages or those that create a heavy cache. This freezing then causes abrupt phone restarts shortly thereafter, but not always immediately. Usually the culprit seems to be linked to Facebook album viewing, Imgur albums with article-length descriptions, etc. The abrupt phone restarting occurs whether force stopping Firefox and clearing the cache right away or not (although the restarts seem to happen faster if I force stop the app). I have simply closed the app during the freeze, put my phone down, and come back minutes or hours later to it having restarted on its own.

In addition, open tabs have a tendency to lose their scroll spots on a non-infinitely-scrolling page (e.g. an article not requiring expanding) when the app is minimized but not closed. This is probably unrelated(?) and isn't as critical as the spontaneous restarts, however.

It looks like many Pixel 6a users have had this issue, although those support threads from 8-9 months ago have now been archived. Someone else mentioned scripts from the websites themselves may be to blame? Would be curious to hear of any specific fixes. Thanks!

Recently firefox for Android started crashing instantly upon opening the app. Tried clearing the cache, making sure it was updated, uninstalled then reinstalled. Nothing has fixed it.

Worked great up until a few days ago so I'm assuming something in an app update messed it up.

All updates since 117.0 crash when I attempt to launch (iPhone X, iOS 14.3). I've never had any issue with previous updates. Seems like a bug that needs rectifying.

I just updated my Firefox web browser app to Version 118 from app store. Since then, the app is not functional at all. Most of my tabs won't load, and the app crashes every time I open it. I am on ios 16.7.

as the title says when downloading a file, firefox causes com.android.phone to crash. enough crashes causes my tablet to panic and auto restart itself.

the only app that can cause this is is firefox, downloading files via something like discord, doesn't trigger it, only firefox. i tried with other apps to no avail.

it started happening after an update (update TB-X606F_S301018_230810_BMP ) (the last update was a year ago so lenovo isn't gonna fix it on their end anytime soon) and it's quite annoying when i need to use firefox to download files to view/use.
