Thunderbird simply does not connet to may iCloud mail account. it says password or user name is incorret. I cannot correc what is correct.

This creates a significant gap in debugging capabilities, as developers cannot inspect request payloads details that would normally be visible.

Gmail OAuth login "script terminated by timeout"

I reinstalled thunderbird and cleared the profile folder. Then when I login Gmail, after the OAuth, it tells me "Unable to login at server. Possibly wrong configuration, … (funda kabanzi)

This only happens to Gmail. I also tried Outlook and this didn't happen.

I then tried running thunderbird in the terminal to see what it outputs: (image 2)

Stuck trying to migrate an old email

I have an old email with windows live mail and want to migrate it to thunderbird since windows live mail has been discontinued for a while. Every time i try and set it up and migrate it, it doesn't seem to find the email server (most likely due to windows live mail beings ancient) and then I need to manually set it up. But even after trying to follow guides, I still have issues. Firstly, it says the hostname is invalid even though it contains only valid characters. I seriously wouldn't even know where to start. Would it just be easier to make a new email. Any help would be appreciated.

Outbound emails OK, but TB suddenly will not access messages from server. Get New Msgs doesn't work.

I'm using Thunderbird 128.11.0esr (64-bit) on a Win 10 system, and my email host is DigitalSpace, a Verizon company. As of this morning, TB no longer gives me a password… (funda kabanzi)

I'm using Thunderbird 128.11.0esr (64-bit) on a Win 10 system, and my email host is DigitalSpace, a Verizon company.

As of this morning, TB no longer gives me a password dialog when I start the app. So, I forced that dialog by sending out a dummy email, and I enter my credentials when asked. Outgoing messages go out without incident.

But even though my password is accepted for SMTP use, the POP incoming function no longer responds to File/Get New Messages for . None of the selections will download any emails.

The banner at the very bottom of the Thunderbird window usually displays a "retrieving emails" message yesterday, as usual. But now this banner is completely blank, nothing happening.

DigitalSpace has given me what they say is the correct POP Server name, and they specify that I should use Port 110. I've attempted to reach the POP server by its name and by its IP4 address, but I see the same fail with both: No response.

Note 1: I'm deleting all cookies at every log-off. Is there any chance that this is affecting TB's performance?

Note 2: Non-Mozilla fix websites have suggested accessing the TB Profile folder, and deleting file global-messages-db.SQLITE . I tried that, but it didn't fix the problem.

I have been experiencing repeated errors with my POP3 gmail accounts in Thunderbird. My main account retrieves messages quickly (within a couple of seconds) but my other accounts take several minutes (20-30 min) even although there are only a couple of light messages to sync. I do not want to switch to IMAP because I want to delete my messages from the server once they've been synced to my computer.

I have verified that my POP3 settings match those recommended by gmail (server, port, SSL/TLS, authentication), but the errors persist.

Could you please advise me on: Possible causes for these types of errors in Thunderbird. Steps to diagnose and fix this issue (especially regarding certificates and connection timeouts). Whether any specific configuration is needed for Gmail POP3 with OAuth2.

The attached screenshots show the results of attempts to re-establish the account and the resulting error messages. It appears that the server settings need tweaking, since the user name and password are those I use to log in successfully to the att account with both Firefox and my iPhone. Thank you, Vince K.

I travel to two different locations a few times a year. I use the same basic "computer" for each one, though they're far apart. It works through a "sneaker network," where data files, profiles, etc, are copied to a portable hard drive and then copied to the next computer, so they're fairly identical.

The problem is that this last time (and I've been doing this for perhaps about 3 years), Firefox has refused to do anything online. I can use it offline, but not online. The "work online" is unchecked, so it should be online. But it refuses to do anything.

After several Firefox reboots, windows reboots, checking everything, Firefox still does nothing.

Currently I'm using Waterfox and Edge. Both work fine. Thunderbird works fine.

I've had this problem since Tuesday night. So about 48 hours now, and nothing at all.

The way I transfer from one computer to another without losing email or current Firefox status is to copy the newest profile over, delete the old, and then copy the current program, as well.

Thus, the program is up to date, as is the profile, but all I get when I type in any address is that dot thing at the top, going side to side.
