hi i`m in a complete mess.

i donated as requested then i have lost everything no d/load links , no redirects , ZIP. why is it so difficult to navigate to a d/load ?

i`m trying to restore my TB after my current version failed to d/load e-mails from server this all seemed to happen after latest up-dates its been faultless before this please someone restore my sanity some one on one help would be appreciated

I'm having trouble with Thunderbird on my new Windows 11 laptop. I've used Thunderbird for years and years on the old Windows 10 one, but can't get it to work right on the new one. The version info it gives is "128.4.4esr (64-bit)"

Specifically two problems. (1) Every time it starts it asks for my yahoo server's password. Even though I check the box asking it to remember it, it doesn't. Under Settings->Privacy&Security (under Passwords)->Saved Passwords, the list is empty. (2) Second problem (may be same as first, but in a different form) Whenever I try to send an email message, it fails. It waits a long long time and then gives a popup saying "Login to server smtp.mail.yahoo.com with username [email removed]@verizon.net failed." It gives me an option to enter a new password, and if I click there it doesn't let me enter the password again, just re-tries, again waits a long long time, then gives the same error popup. When I cancel, it gives a new popup saying to check the password and verify the 'Authentication method' in Account Settings (which I have done, and all looks OK).

Hi. Right now mesages with same subject are shown under first message (Uploaded image), this is good, but I would like to see them like messages in gmail. If I open any message I would see all this messages in message pane as list. Where I could make some compact or if I want I could expand all messages and see them all at once. Is this posible in Thunderird?

Hi, I was asked if I could contact you by google disability.

I'm having a huge problem creating a channel on youtube with a live.co.uk account when using NVDA.

I press b until I hear account menu button button submenu, pres enter or space, then arrow down to create channel and press enter. Nothing seams to happen.

Google disability has shown me a couple of video or audio files proving that it can be done, they've even said that they tried creating an account with an outlook account, what live.co.uk is called now from my understanding.

SO I'm really confused as to why they can do it and I can't.

I can't show you with OBS because it messes with my screen readers speech so if you have another way I can show you; please let me know.

I've already tried the following, suggested by disability support: 1. uninstalling and reinstalling firefox.

2. making sure addons are disabled, the only one I left enabled was a volume booster but I doubt that would be the issue.

3. Setting NVDA back to factory settings and disabling all addons.

This has been confusing me on and off for up to a year now.

I upgraded my Dell PC to Windows 11 yesterday via Windows Update, since support for Windows 10 is ending. Now Firefox crashes often when I close the browser. Everything works fine while I'm using Firefox, it's only when I close the browser that sometime later I will get a crash message on my desktop. I have tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it, and the problem persists. From what I can tell, there's some process which is ongoing after the browser is closed, which isn't terminating properly and that's why it's crashing. I sent a request for help and got this response:

"Well you might start by actually advising what the error is. We are at this point left to guess what "When launching Thunderbird, I get a pop-up saying Server "outlook.office365.com" reported en error" means and I can assure you it is not much to base a guess on. What is the message verbatim?"

You missed the point entirely! The point is that there NO ERROR CODE REPORTED, only the cryptic information I sent earlier. Further, if I knew the error code, I could fix it myself. The question is whether there is some kind of a log file kept in Thunderbird that may shed some light on the problem. Hopefully, now you understand the problem and can respond in a more meaningful and professional manner.

Some additional information: (a) sometimes email does not send, (b) I have already reinstalled T-Bird with with the mystery error continuing, (c) no errors were reported during installation. If there is no log file that T-Bird keeps and if you have no way of helping me track this down, T-Bird has ceased to be a practical alternative to Outlook.

I do not have the password to my Thunderbird Mail in current laptop. I think it will be needed when I start up a newly bought laptop where I will include Thunderbird Mail. What can I do?

Hi all,

In a now deleted Windows 10 Thunderbird setup, we used the Config Editor to globally set Delivery Status Notifications as true.

This ensured that every email attempted to return a delivery notification without the user having to manually request one when composing an email.

We have since shifted all our computers to Linux Mint, but I am unable to find this variable in the Config Editor.

Has this been removed?
