Hello, my pc recently crashed and burned and won’t boot up. In anticipation of building a new pc, I’d like to retrieve my passwords and bookmarks from the broken pc. I made the mistake of changing my Firefox password and saw at the moment I pressed reset it said I’d lose everything. Of course I found the password for Firefox after the fact smh, but I’m wondering if I can retrieve the info from the broken hard drive and transfer to the new one. Is this possible?

Hi We switched to W11 today. My bookmarks have transferred to the new system but on my wife’s ‘side’ of the computer they have not. How do I get her bookmarks back please? We each have our own email address so we have two Accounts. Thank you.

I have lost my History and Bookmarks. A message appears 'The bookmarks and History system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem' I use Asast One and Malwarebytes. Can you help please? I am not very technical so if you can put an answer in very basic terms that would be appreciated. Thank you. Arthur Moody

I was using Firefox and signed out of the Bitwarden add-on and something went horribly wrong and all my Firefox passwords and even my Edge passwords were suddenly gone -- add all of my Bookmarks for both browsers have disappeared too!

And I don't know how to recover them. HELP!

.I recently updated to either V140 or 141 in the past few days. It appears that there have been some MAJOR changes to Firefox. I can find but find it hard to use my old bookmarks and profiles.

Too many things changed. For some reason, I performed a "refresh" during the update. I now have a icon on my desktop labeled "old firefox data". I assume that this is the old properties file. I found the help section about restoring bookmarks, etc, but it didn't tell me how to use this file to recover my old information.

I have been a loyal user of Firefox since the early days (I believe it used to be Netscape Navigator.) This is the first time I've had any issues after an update. I would like my 'old' Firefox back.

For instance, there was a menu option to view/access my bookmarks. Click the option and I would get a nice listing of my bookmarks. I could arrange by usage. More recent sites could be listed at the top of the list. then I could then select the site to visit and everything was good to go. Not so any more. I have many sites bookmarked but the entire list is presented to me, in no particular order. I have to scroll down to find the site to be visited.

I have saved more than 100 password of my firefox account, but after the app reset due to technical glitch in my device, I have been trying to recover the passwords but unable to find them what should I do?? PLEASE HELP IT IS URGENT

All of a sudden all my tabs I had open for referring back to have disappeared- How do I restore. I keep reading to fo to firfox and click the ‘history’ button but I don't see one- thank you for your help. :)

When I last updated Firefox, about 2-3 weeks ago, all of my bookmarks, and the bookmark tool bar, disappeared.

I've tried to recover them using the automated forum, but nothing works.

How do I both get the bookmarks tool bar to always be visible and, at least as important recover all of my bookmarks - the ones that were visible on the toolbar, and all the others?

I have been using Windows 10 with Firefox for many years without any problems. However, yesterday all my extensions suddenly disappeared, though the bookmarks toolbar remained intact.

To fix this, I restored my computer to an earlier state from a few days ago. Unfortunately, after the restoration, even the data on my bookmarks toolbar was completely gone.

Could you please advise what might have caused this issue and whether there is any way to recover my lost bookmarks and extensions?

Hi, All of a sudden, bookmarks disappeared. There was a Firefox update a few days ago which fixed the problem but....it's back again, no bookmarks. My security systems have not changed whatsoever (Windows and McAfee) plus I use Ccleaner to tidy up my system at close of play. Will the bookmark system ever be fixed please? I just installed the latest Firefox update and all my bookmarks and passwords have disappeared. Can someone please tell me where there would be stored so that I can re-install them. This hasn't happened with previous updates. I hope I have chose the best topic for my question.

quit firefox on my mac, reopened it and all my account history, passwords, etc were lost. is there any way to recover them? im sure this has been asked many times, but i have been using firefox for 2 years, never had any issue. recently i quit the app on my mac, when i reopened it, absolutely everything was gone. i had a LOT of saved emails and passowords i never backed up, and i reallyyy need them back. i logged back in with the same email i had for my firefox account originally, but absolutely everything is gone, as if ive just made a new account, im just at a loss what can i do? :(

When I used to open the small puzzle shaped icon I could see my visual book marks. I have been collecting work related images here for year. Now all I see is a request to personalize my extendtions with a ton of questions and an option to add AI. Where are my book marked images??? How do I retrieve that data?????
