I have configured the same two e-mail accounts hosted by HostEurope at least 3 times in my installation of Thunderbird under Ubuntu Studio 22.04 LTS, following the provider's instructions the provider's instructions. Each time Thunderbird creates the appropriate new folders in its Imap directory and synchronizes the local storage with the online accounts. However, the next time I open Thunderbird, the accounts have disappeared from the Accounts listing. There are no error messages. How can I get these accounts to "stick", or at least figure out what is going wrong?

Hello When searching for the meaning of words in google dictionary, there used to be phonetic symbols but they disappeared at some point. At first, I thought it was because of google settings.

I searched the same thing in Chrome and it still shows the phonetic symbols. (The same religion and language setting were applied to both browsers.)

I can't find the setting for it in Firefox.

How can I set to see phonetic symbols in Firefox?

A week ago, my two email accounts stopped working. GoDaddy re-set the settings and got one account working. The section account still does not receive or send under Thunderbird. The error message is that the "user is authenticated, but not connected." I am able to use this account via webmail.

On a <input type="file" accept="image/*" /> Element, Firefox on Windows 10 doesn't seem to include avif images by default. The File selection dialog does not include .avif in the list of file formats. Only after changing the "filter" to all files (*.*) avif images show up.

I would expect avif images to show up from the start, as well as .avif appearing in the list of files. This happens both with Firefox 110.0.1 and 112.0a1 (2023-03-09) A major competitor does seem to include .avif files for the same webpage.

error message in both firefox and mozilla says already running, reinstalled both packages, only way to close error message from coming back is to use cancel button. not showing running in task manager, not on a network.

Just opened Firefox to discover what appeared to be an unauthorized update: all bookmarks gone, no menu bars, search change to Google, screen littered with links to twitter and similar organizations. "About" says this is 110.0.1, same as another computer which appears as usual.

Any suggestions?

Please help, I'm trying to see what actual DATE I went to the website, and/or the time. All Firefox history shows me is the order in which I went to the website. For example, if I got to History>Today> it just says that I went to supportdotmozilladotorg, not the date or time. Same if I go to "Last 7 days" - it's simply a list of the sites I've visited, not which day of the week I went to them. Any advice would be appreciated as this is somewhat urgent since I'm trying to report fraud from a website and need to show what date/time my activity was on there. Please help and thank you. I've attached a picture for reference.

I have aN HP Pavilion Laptop -- new model from 2022 which has Windows 11. My built-in microphone was working fine until recently. I'm not sure if it stopped working because of a recent update. I have done every possible troubleshooting and there is nothing wrong with the mic. i have even spoken to HP as the laptop is stll under warranty but there is nothing wrong with the mic. All the drivers are updated. I have checked every possible setting on the laptop and windows and even on Firefox. I have isolated the issue to be a Firefox one as the mic works perfectly on the Edge browser. However, I do NOT want to switch browsers. I love Firefox. It has many features and advantages I don't find on other browsers. PLEASE HELP!!

Macos 13.2.01 (Ventura) Firefox 110.o.1 no longer able to drag url to desktop to create shortcut. The info I have seen so far relates to MS Windows but Mac might require a different fix, that is if there is a fix available. I'm not very technically knowledgeable with this so I would appreciate any attempts at a simple fix to a very frustrating issue. I note that both Brave, Chrome and Safari browsers don't have this issue. Many thanks for your assistance.

I normally use Yahoo mail with Firefox on my Surface. However, a couple of days ago Yahoo stopped working this way: I can open emails, but I can't delete emails, send an email, open settings, etc. Yahoo mail works on my Android phone. It works on my Surface with Chrome. And it works with Firefox on my PC. Apparently there is a bad relationship between Yahoo mail and Firefox on my Surface. Can anyone suggest a diagnosis and a fix? While I was using Firefox 78.15 on iMac Yosemite, I was unable to make a full use of Facebook. I could not paste images to my Facebook wall (either by dragging an icon into the window or importing images) or to open its Messenger window since 3/10/23.

I didn't have this problem with Chrome 87. Is this something to do with support or other features?

After I restart my computer and I open firefox, then fullscreen a youtube video there is always a transparent thick line around the top and left edge of the screen which shows whatever is behind it (e.g. my wallpaper). If I go out of fullscreen and back into it, then it's fixed but I have to do this every time I start firefox.

Firefox crashes every 5 minutes! Comes right back, then crashes 5 min. later. Etc., etc., etc. Has been going on for 4 days. Firefox/Mozilla apparently doesn't want to talk personally in any way with anyone. Can't phone, text, email, or chat with them.

Someone asked this before in 2011 but got no replies, so I'm asking it again. It's only happening recently. It may be related to a second problem where textboxes don't accept the first characters typed and Windows gives an error sound.

‘Intuit Mint (and TurboTax) stopped working on my Firefox 3.10.23. Mint log in returns the endless blue circle but doesn't time out after four minutes. No error message, no crash. Same desktop: Mint signs in fine when using Edge browser.’ Cleared Firefox Cache, cookies, etc; makes no difference for Firefox, my browser of choice. Any suggestions?

After over 15 years with same password - email is not receiving or sending. Deleting emails to trash also would not perform. Trying to log in with new password just goes round and round with the same request, failing each time. At 84 yrs I find the help advice to complicated for me to follow. Something about 78 does not make sense to me. What the Heck?
