A lot of users are willing to move to Firefox but issue like this is what keeping us on the Chrome Browser.

I've tried many times but my Firefox android is unable to fetch all the log in details from Firefox desktop(which is imported from chrome). This makes the android Firefox lesser useful as we have a better alternative as chrome and the password manager on chrome is very powerful when it comes to auto - sync and auto - fill using pop up or google keyboard, I hope this issue gets fixed in future releases.

The Firefox Android is only able to fetch the logins that was saved using Firefox browser also it's not instantaneous, sometime we have to click on sync now on both pc and android to be able to view the login on android(if saved on pc), it is not the same for bookmarks.

The bookmarks that are imported from other browser can be synced unlike logins and passwords.

My synced passwords do not appear on my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A when I open an App. It gives the message "UNLOCK FIREFOX" and goes to the numbers screen. It asks me to enter my passcode and I don't have one for Firefox. I have been trying for over a half year to find answer to my problem. Due to auto updates my Android phone stopped entering my log in information on my Apps. This 71 year old is desperate to find an answer.

I use the iOS Firefox app as the primary browser on my iPhone 12. Usually everything works fine and I keep between 3-4 to sometimes 10 or so tabs open for things that I still want to read or get back to. I close Firefox, open it again later, add and close a tab or two and all is well.

However, sometimes (I believe when Firefox is closed, but I'm not 100% sure), when I click on a URL from another app or ask an app to open a web page in my system browser (which have set to Firefox app as the default), it opens the new tab and ALL of my other tabs are lost. They are just closed and there is no way to get them back other than scrolling through all of my history and trying to find the related URLs. If some of the tabs are older, that makes it almost impossible to find because history also includes all of my browsing history form my synced laptop Firefox. Speaking of syncing, you might think that tab syncing between Firefox running on different devices would help. It doesn't, because it appears to sync the new "only 1 tab open" state almost immediately to my other browsers. So if I check the tab history from my laptop, all the older (just closed) tabs are no longer shown in the tab history for my phone.

This is very frustrating and, honestly, about the only reason I would strongly consider leaving Firefox and using a different browser for my phone. As a workaround, I try to bookmark sites and add some to shortcuts, but you shouldn't need to do that for every tab that one just wants to leave open for a few days and get back to.

Anyone have any ideas to help? I regularly update my apps and currently have iOS Firefox version 108.

Firefox syncs my passwords etc perfectly across four devices: laptop, desktop, phone and iPad. When I use the password menu item in Firefox it always shows consistently synced information. But Firefox on my iPad doesn't use this information whenever I try to login to a site. It reverts to a (very) old Safari password list from years ago. Firefox is the default browser on all of these devices. This behaviour seems to date from the end of Lockwise about 12 months ago. My iPad is a 5th generation model running iOS 15.6.1. How do I point Firefox at the right password file? Any suggestions please? Cheers Ian

Hello I'm trying to make a switch to FF from Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome but I can't get saved login IDs and passwords to sync with FF for iPhone and Android using the same account. Any ideas? Here are a few more details: 1. All other items, like, Bookmarks, Tabs and History are syncing across all devices, no problems. 2. I deleted all old login IDs, bookmarks and everything stored in my FF account previously, then imported new and updated ones from Microsoft Edge. 3. Login IDs and Passwords are all showing up and working with Auto-fill in FF for desktop. Just that these IDs and Passwords are not showing up in FF for iPhone and Android despite manually syncing multiple times and ensuring that Login check box is ticked on. 4. New passwords created on FF for either iPhone or Android are syncing across all devices (including desktop), but the vice-versa (imported and new ones saved on desktop) are not syncing with mobile devices. 5. I have tried re-installing FF on all 3 devices and still only passwords remain to be synced. Rest everything syncs perfectly. 6. I have tried importing from Google Chrome as well, but the same problem ensues.

Hey, just got a new phone and I want to mass migrate all of my tabs in old phone to new one but apparently Samsung Switch can't do that, and neither Firefox sync does. Do I have to open every tab one-by-one by hand or is there a shortcut to send all of my old phone tabs to new one ?

Thanks.

I am logged in to both my Desktop Firefox browser and my Android Firefox mobile app browser using the same Firefox account on both devices. I can send tabs from my desktop to my mobile device and vice versa; however, I cannot see the tabs that are open on the desktop version using sync. Furthermore, when I read the instructions on the website that says go to the Menu in the Firefox app on my mobile device and click the Sync and Save data. That is NOT an option in the Menu in my Firefox app. When I go to "Connected Devices" in the Firefox mobile app, I do not see my desktop.

Can someone provide any assistance?

I cant transfer my bookmarks from safari to firefox - how can i grant access to firefox for my safari bookmarks.plist please?

I've found the file and copied it to my desktop and a flashdrive, how do I add it to firefox now. The normal way can't get past the 'explicit permission needed' stage. Is there a way to import it another way? Thanks.

1) PRESTIGIO MUZE D3, PSP3530 - android 5.0, версия браузера: 59.0.2 - на этой версии нельзя выйти или войти в аккаунт - больше не работает about:config; 2) XGODY NOTE 10 - android 6.0 (9.0) go edition - официально несуществующая версия андроид, версия браузера: 79.0.0.

Hi, I am using Firefox 109.0 (25841) on my iPhone 7+ with ios 15.7. When trying to sync my bookmarks from Firefox on my MacBook Pro to my iPhone, the directions in Firefox on my Mac ask me to open the Firefox app on my iPhone, and to click on Sync And Save Data under the menu on the bottom right, but that option is not a part of the list, as far as I can tell. As a result, I can't scan in the code, and initiate the sync. Any idea how I can get that option to appear? Thank you for your help : )

I had about 500 tabs on FF on my iphone open. The browser crashed and now all of those seem to be gone. "Recently Closed" is empty. Starting the browser just opens an empty page. I had sync turned one but oh magic the synced tabs pretty much immediately diappeared from the other devices as well. Any ideas how I might be able to recover those tabs? Could they still be saved somewhere on the iphone or in the cloud?

I have an account to sync my Firefox the only way to get this message to you and I’m not even sure whether it’s going to you or not, when I see you, I mean the developers the people with the answers. I get my username email and password correct and then it wants to send an email with the code to the email address that unfortunately the operator close down so that I have no way of checking that email address anymore. There is no link anywhere except to resend so I am very confused. How to regain access to this. The email addresses yourhighness@mailtag.com. I have the password, but if you look into mailtag.com You will see about 8 to 10 years ago it shows it’s doors and the guy running it close down the site so I know my password I know the username which is my email but I can’t get into it. It seems very silly that there is no way to fix us. Oh they might be and I’m not aware of it so if you could point me in the right direction, I would be appreciated.

Yesterday I started using the latest versions of Firefox on my Macbook Air and iPhone. I am signed in with the same login information on both devices. I have turned on Sync in both places, and hit "Sync," but the bookmarks haven't come through. I saw this: " Go to the menu ( on iOS or on Android) and tap Sync and save data." But there is no "Sync and save data" when I click on the iOS menu. Or "ready to scan." Like I said, going around in circles. When I try to use the QR code, I'm consistently told that I have to do it from within the FF app... which I believe I'm doing -- the little QR reader to the right of the search bar. Please see attached shots?
