I am regularly (constantly) getting logged off from websites. Sometimes after few minutes, at latest when not using Firefox for some time. This is REALLY ANNOYING and makes using Firefox on iOS a pain in the a**. Especially as there are no options to check if it's because cookies get deleted.

This behavior was introduced few weeks (maybe months) ago.

I use advanced tracking protection in strict mode. That feature should have no impact. Firefox 108.1 (24234).

I recently changed my Firefox Accounts password. This apparently disconnected me from all my logged in sessions, which is fine. I say this because on the Firefox Accounts page, under Connected Services it only showed the browser I was using to change my password and none of my other devices.

I logged into Firefox on a Windows machine and that behaved as expected. The new device appeared in "Connected Services." However, when I logged into Firefox on my Android phone *two* entries appeared in "Connected Services." The first (oldest) says, "Firefox Mobile 108, Android 13." The second entry says, "Firefox on samsung SM-G991U". That entry appeared about one minute later according to the information in the second column of the "Connected Services" table. The first entry is associated with a globe icon. The second entry is associated with a phone icon.

My questions are: why did both of these entries appear for my Android device when only one appears for my Windows device, and can I sign one of them out without disrupting sync on that device? I can live with them both there, but it seems unsightly.

Thanks!

I have an account to sync my Firefox the only way to get this message to you and I’m not even sure whether it’s going to you or not, when I see you, I mean the developers the people with the answers. I get my username email and password correct and then it wants to send an email with the code to the email address that unfortunately the operator close down so that I have no way of checking that email address anymore. There is no link anywhere except to resend so I am very confused. How to regain access to this. The email addresses yourhighness@mailtag.com. I have the password, but if you look into mailtag.com You will see about 8 to 10 years ago it shows it’s doors and the guy running it close down the site so I know my password I know the username which is my email but I can’t get into it. It seems very silly that there is no way to fix us. Oh they might be and I’m not aware of it so if you could point me in the right direction, I would be appreciated.

The latest and previous versions for over one year-two years have had problems with tabs.

1. My account is logged off after closing FF with the active tab opened and starting again. Whatever service I am logged in to is logged off. DEVS!!! JUST TRY IT!!! The services in other tabs are logged in but not in the active one.

2. opening a link in a new tab ("right click") throws me somewhere in the list of my tabs. It is not opened just next to the active tab. just somewhere ahead. eg I have 80 tabs. My active tab is 60th. the link opened in the new tab is 75th. Unlike in Chrome next to the active tab.

3. tabs sometimes "lose" their address. They are blank. They very rarely open properly after a few restarts of FF.

4. moving tabs is very difficult unlike in Chrome or Safari

Two-step Authentication process

So this would be a question about a situation that I have been involved with before and any attempt at finding a reasonable solution that would help resolve this dilemma has been quite difficult to find. And so, I will paint a portrait of the scenario:

So hypothetically, let's assume that <User> has Two-step Authentication activated on Mozilla Firefox and is on a weekend excursion of the Mighty Mississippi River and so happens to lose that phone to the surging undercurrents and a tumultuous exodus to those murky depths, but On Top of This Person's Game, quickly attains a new phone (yet in a moment of rushed deliberation and penchant to make some minor miscalculations (to spice things up, of course) couldn't keep the old phone number.

And so, in the course of updating the newer phone version and the number on numerous sites and has arrived at finally updating Mozilla Firefox account, which asks to Two-step Authenticate by sending the code to the bottom of the Mississippi River (or some bull shark's belly (who is most likely very confused about why his lunch is buzzing and starts to be concerned about his own gut health issues).

And so, the Issue at hand is, how does one get thru the Two-step process, which only seems extremely eclectic about sending codes to that ex-phone instead of paying attention to this newer, younger phone version.

Thanks in advance, - Lost in a River

Dear Community.

The Login on the Android app doesn't seem to work for me.

After scanning the QR-Code and Login in. It shows me my logged in Firefox Account. But somehow doesn't apply it onto the app.

What could be the cause of the problem? I've already reinstalled the app.

Thanks for your help.

It keeps asking for the 6 digit code from my authenticator app which was lost when my phone crashed. Also, I can't seem to find my backup codes on any of my hard drives or SSDs on my computer (which was hacked about 6 months ago and I am still recovering from that), but have instituted more security measures. I can access Firefox fine on my computer. I think all I need to do is remove 2fa and then add 2fa back, but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated.
