Should bookmarks be arranged the same on an android as they are arranged on laptop On the laptop I have them listed in an order but with Android bulk folders are listed first

I have a 2020 model MacAir with M1 chip, running Sequoia 15.6.1 and Firefox 143.0. When I bookmark a website, I no longer get the option to select which Folder to save it in. I have to bookmark the site, then edit the bookmark in order to place it in the right folder. Is there a fix for this problem? I've tried several times searching on the Help and Support pages but don't see anything. Thank you!

I am trying to organise my Firefox bookmarks into folders on my Mac Studio. However, when I try to use the highly-touted "just drag and drop advice" it does not work. It doesn't work in the drop down and it doesn't work in the bookmarks manager. Drag and drop functionality works elsewhere on my Mac just fine.

Note, if I open every single bookmark, click on the blue star, then re-assign the folder it does work. However, that it a mighty pain in the arse.

Since I know it will be asked...'yes' both Firefox and my MacOS are up-to-date. And 'no' I haven't upgraded to Tahoe.

I would appreciate any help that anyone can offer. Thanks!

A while back I deleted some bookmarks on my mobile phone which is the only device currently connected to my account. But I recently tried to bookmark several pages and it says I already have the pages bookmarked but it isn't in any of my mobile app bookmark pages and if I try to edit the supposed bookmark I just get a blank screen. I can bookmark other pages fine, it's just these specific phantom bookmarks don't work. I've deleted browsing data in the app, I've cleared the app cache in my phones settings, I have the latest update for the mobile app. But nothing has worked

Is this a known issue and if so how do I fix it?

If I try to add a bookmark to a folder, none of the folders I have created are listed. I am given the option to create a new folder to add it to; that works, but the new folder has exactly one bookmark in it and there does not seem to be a way to add any more.

Dear Sir or Madam, since one of the last updates, Firefox has been automatically creating a bookmark, this one, Growatt. I haven't visited the Growatt site in a long time, but more Growatt bookmarks are being saved to my bookmarks every day! I've removed Growatt cookies in the settings, but Growatt bookmarks keep saving automatically! Please suggest possible solutions; otherwise, I'll switch to a different browser. My bookmark features has stopped working. When I click the star, it does not turn blue and I cannot bookmark anything. Is there a fix? I have stuff in the bookmark area and would not like to loose it.

All these years, when I bookmark a page, that bookmark used to, then, be at the bottom of bookmarks. I assume that means the bookmarks were sorted by the date they were bookmarked. Lately, that is completely gone. When I bookmark a page, who knows WHERE it sits in that long bookmark list?!? It's THERE if I search on it but it used to be so handy... it was right there at the bottom of the bookmark 'manage' page!! Am I missing a date tag or something??? SO annoying. Thanks.

I use Firefox on 3 devices, a Win10 64bit laptop, a Google Pixel5 and a Samsung TabA. I have a lot of bookmarks and a lot of folders, and I have 2 problems: Most of the folders are missing on the Android devices, and it seems that many if not all of the associated bookmarks are there but not in any folder. I clicked on one the bookmarks and it showed as being in the proper folder.

The other problem is that if I bookmark a page in one of the Android devices it is automatically placed in the last folder used and there's no way to place it in any other folder or create a new top level folder. I think I've had these problems for five or six months.

I've tried multiple resyncs on all the devices, and also uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox on the Pixel, with no luck. I'm using the latest versions of Firefox.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The carefully organized order of my Firefox bookmarks on my PC is completely ruined by the stupid alphabetical sorting of bookmarks on the Firefox app on my Androïd smartphone. And that is all the more frustrating than the icon pictures of the links are replaced by a mere letter which doesn't enable to recognise the website's icon visually. In my ASTROLOGY folder of my Firefox bookmarks which includes about 100 links, it is a real pain in the neck to find the links to my favorite websites whose precise names I don't necessarily remember (Astrology websites often have similar names) among in such an extensive list of bookmarks, instead of finding my favourit and most usual bookmarks at the very beginning of the list in the folder.

iOS Firefox needs to maintain bookmarks hierarchy state (i.e. keep bookmark folders collapsed or revealed based upon users’ preference) when organizing bookmarks. Like many other Firefox users, I have a lot of organized bookmarks. And, when iOS Firefox opens my complete bookmark hierarchy, it’s a pain in the butt to locate folders in which I want a new bookmark to be placed. If iOS Firefox could maintain my bookmark hierarchy state (like Firefox desktop), I could organize bookmarks so much more easily & efficiently. Incidentally, I submitted this idea several years ago and never received any feedback or action.

Hello. I'm having trouble with bookmark icons in my browser. Sometimes the icons show up, but sometimes only the globe appears. I've tried everything, including installing the "Bookmark Icon Loader" and "Bookmark Tab Icon Changer" add-ons, but it didn't help. Is there a way I can change them manually in the browser itself without any add-ons?

my windows 10 PC was saving my bookmarks perfectly and storing in bookmarks after pressing the "save" star (star turns black) until dec 4 but its no longer putting them in the bookmarks menu anymore even though star turned black? then also after numerous attempts to no avail a "edit" pop up came up and after pressing that it did not even come up with the drop down "save" option just a big nothing. I hover over bookmark folder, they expand, and the links the folder contains work. (Or) now 80 percent of the time, I hover over the bookmark folder, they don't expand, so I click on the folder to expand it, and 90 percent of the time, the links in the folder do nothing when clicked on. They won't even get highlighted, (selected) I restart firefox, and all works again, for about 10 seconds, and problem occurs again. It goes without saying it gets real frustrating restarting firefox over and over and over again to use another bookmark. I've never experienced this before. This only happens for me on firefox for Linux Mint 22.1. Firefox on windows 11 does not exhibit this problem. Please help, thanks. Cheers...

We have a need to change the name on some bookmarks that we push out via GPO but despite updating the ADMX it is not working. Does this only work for Firefox for Enterprise or does the normal Firefox abide by these settings?
