Hello,

When I opened Firefox this morning, it downed the newest version.

Since then it becomes nearly impossible to use, locking up after a few minutes.

Are you aware? Is this being fixed? Can I go back one version? I used Windows 10, is that the issue?

I don't know when it exactly happend but arround 3 months ago my Firefox is on the verge of dying anytime i open a new TAB it takes about a min to be funktional again which is a pain!

before that time Firefox was quick never hade these problems before! A friend of mine has the exact same problem as i do.

I have noticed for some time when I access Facebook the site reacts very slowly and hangs up frequently. When I access Facebook on the Chrome browser I don't experience the same problems. So, it appears my Facebook issue is a Firefox browser issue. Can anyone please help and explain how I can improve my Facebook experience while using Firefox. Appreciate any help. Thank you.

power up and get previous home page with bookmarks page from prior session. cannot delete page using 'x' upper right. cursor not effective . I have to click on firefox logo to start a new session. Note the old display comes up at each login. Cannot delete I must overlay. Please help. Greg

When firefox is loaded and as high as 13 can load. If go to task master and search for firefox it shows 13. If I try to delete 1 file all are deleted. If I delete firefox and try to add it again it says I already have firefox loaded.

I am facing a recurring issue while browsing websites on Firefox. This happened even before the latest upgrade. Only it is worse after this last software upgrade.

After using the browser for 1–2 minutes, the browser gets stuck or becomes unresponsive. While scrolling through websites, the full page does not load properly, and parts of the webpage suddenly become blank. In many cases, the existing tab cannot even be refreshed. I have to close the program, wait a few minutes and reopen. Very frustrating. I have been using Firefox for many years and this is the most unstable I have ever seen it. After a recent series of updates to both my mouse and Firefox, my mouse no longer scrolls within Firefox. The mouse is Logi wireless mouse. Firefox is the latest version. The mouse scrolls fine in other apps, like WhatsApp, Outlook, Word etc. but not in Firefox.

When I try to scroll in Firefox, it stutters, jumps and will continue to jump even when I stop scrolling on the mouse.

I have spoken to Logi and there is no issue with the mouse itself.

I have tried Troubleshoot and Private mode, but still the same issue, so its not an add-on or extension problem.

Is anyone else having this issue over the last couple of days, or have any ideas on how to get back to smooth scrolling?

First, I press fullscreen mode on any video on the firefox browser. Second, when I enter fullscreen mode the pop-up that notiifes me that I entered fullscreen mode appears but it takes multiple minutes to disappear.

After updating to Firefox 153.0.1 on my 2026 MacBook Pro Silicon running Tahoe 26.5.2, my Firefox sidebar refuses to open, either by toggling the menu bookmark sidebar icon or pressing the shortcut keys.

I keep having problems with Firefox hanging or disconnecting. I have followed all the steps in the [Hanging] page, and I still have to shut it down and restart it often, sometimes as much as several times a day. I also frequently have to force quit the browser, or I get a message saying "Firefox is open, but not responding" when I try to restart it.

For the last 2-3 weeks, the browser has been freezing when opening new tabs. This doesn't happen all the time, but the same tabs can open correctly or the browser stops working when they are opened. The work stops for 10-20 seconds. The browser does not respond to clicks, but if you press the Win key, the window turns bright and "not responding" appears on top of the frame. I was trying to solve this problem on my own. I ran it in safe mode, disabled hardware acceleration, updated drivers for the integrated graphics and discrete graphics card, disabled all extensions, created a new profile, reinstalled the browser completely - none of this helped, the browser still freezes when opening new tabs. I also cleaned the download history, changed the proxy settings, and disabled Windows Defender. What else can I try to do to fix the browser?

Whenever I click any link that will play a video in a video playing website such as YouTube, Instagram or TikTok, it will cause the entire tab to glitch out and freeze in on the page it was on before I clicked the link.. The entire tab completely freezes and never unfreezes itself, with the cursor having whatever appearance it had when the page froze, and being unable to click anything. The only thing it can do is type a new URL into the search bar, but the search button/enter bar is also ineffective, so I'm stuck on a frozen webpage unless I close the tab or change to another one. I've tried troubleshooting, fiddling with the autoplay setting and turning off extensions, none of which worked. Any ideas?

An 8 second delay when I open Firefox for the first time.. Once it has been opened once, it reopens immediately when required. The problem has been present since I installed Linux Mint 9 months ago, Linux Mint 22.2 then, since upgraded to 22.3 Zena. I can live with it, but it is very frustrating! I have tried the obvious things like removing extensions, but I suspect it is a "Linux" connectivity problem rather than a "Mozilla" problem.
