I'm signed in to Firefox on mobile because I want to access my desktop bookmarks, history etc on mobile. But whenever I bookmark a page on mobile it automatically saves to whatever folder I last used on desktop. But I don't want them saved to my desktop bookmarks at all. I don't know how to move them to mobile only and how to stop them from saving into my desktop folders.

Hi! I got a new computer and installed Thunderbird on it in such a way that the Thunderbird data was saved from my old computer and uploaded to my new computer (Thunderbird profile backup.zip). But unfortunately it did not transfer either the address books or the calendar and tasks entries. I tried the calendar and tasks export/import function, but when I select the import .ics file, it says that it is not found in the importable element file. I also use Google Calendar and I was able to import the .ics file from there into Thunderbird without any problems. What could be the problem?

I have been experiencing a strange issue with Thunderbird for the last three months, and it’s quite frustrating.

I use an IMAP/SMTP SSL setup (ports 993/465) with a local server that includes webmail but also supports IMAP and SMTP for email client management. Over the past three years, we never encountered any issues, but since upgrading Thunderbird, this problem has started occurring.

As you can see in the GIF, messages appear and disappear when I switch to another folder and then return. This affects not only the message counter but also the actual messages themselves. At first, I thought it might be an indexing issue, so I tried deleting the *.msf files and the global-messages-db.sqlite file within the account profile, but the result was always the same. I also increased the frequency of checking for new messages to every 10 minutes and changed the maximum number of server connections to cache from 1 to 20, but nothing changed.

No issues with webmail and with other email client.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions?

I’m currently conducting a DevOps training session and we are using Firefox to inspect headers for a web app running inside a local Docker container (localhost:8080).

We've noticed that occasionally the 'Network' tab in DevTools fails to show the full response headers for our nginx proxy, even after clearing the cache. It works fine in other browsers, but I prefer using Firefox for our students because of the superior CSS Grid and Flexbox tools.

Is there a specific setting in about:config that might be limiting the capture of headers for local loopback addresses?

I'm using firefox mobile version 148.01 on Samsung A55 running Android 16. When i create a new bookmark, i can't select which folder to put it into, i can only put it into 'bookmarks' folder, not any subfolders inside of it. Editing the saved bookmark doesn't help either

I've just switched to Fedora 43 KDE plasma from Windows. On Windows, everything was totally find with videos on Firefox. After migration I kept having an error message "The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support." not only on one site (else it could have been the site). After searching for solution here and on the Net, I found out that it's not related to Fedora but to Firefox when using Radeon RX7700XT on Linux (idem with several distros). And indeed, when installing other browser and testing them there was no problem, even with LibreWolf. So can you please take action as I like Firefox and I would not like to have to move everything to an other browser. And it seems that this problem has been around for at least two years ... which you should be ashamed of.

Tonight when I went to join someone else's Zoom and he (host) allowed me to share from my screen, an issue arose that I am baffled about. The message was: Your browser is preventing access to your share screen." My Browser is Firefox. and it is up to date. How do I resolve this? Thank you very much!

Beginning last night, none of my bookmarks worked. Also the icons on the toolbar are all different (sort of a globe in white outline with a label of the site). My browser indicates it is current.

Hi everyone! Why do I get an error when I try to download messages - "Failed to save message. Check the spelling of the file name, wait a while, and try again"

And the most annoying thing is that after this error, downloading other letters stops and you have to manually search for that very letter, although there may be thousands of them... Please fix this!

I signed into my account earlier today. I received one email from you with a code to insert. Once this was done I then received 2 notification emails acknowledging my having signed in. I have several accounts in Thunderbird - all but one are working fine. I have 2 Outlook accounts and 1 has suddenly stopped working. All the file folders under the account name disappeared. When I restarted my computer, an "in box" reappeared but no other folders and the inbox was completely empty. I can still access this Outlook account on line however. I have searched the web for advice and tried all the basic fixes including updating to latest Thunderbird version but still cannot access the account.

I have three failed downloads that are stuck on the list. Retrying them does nothing, and deleting them does nothing.

Incidentally, the images that those failed downloads link to are online and available.

How do I get rid of them?
