So, after using firefox in the background to browse websites or watch videos I checked my memory usage in firefox with about:memory -> Measure and saw that youtube was consuming a decent amount >2GB (checked the main url when clicking the youtube src, it was the video on that sole tab i was watching and nothing else playing youtube in the bg) so i closed that tab, waited a bit and re-measured but then see that the memory usage for youtube rose about 200MB... and the website for youtube is that same url for the tab that i just closed (when checking the src in the results for Measure). I've been revisiting the about:memory page, reloaded it and re-Measured and youtube is STILL THERE. Even now, 10 minutes later i still see youtube there, with none of my tabs running youtube.

If i close firefox entirely and re-open my tabs then it'll very likely fix it but this has to be a major issue no? I shouldn't have to close the entire browser program just to fix a website visit, which is youtube of all websites.

As of this moment, firefox, with 8 tabs open, is consuming 4,452.99MB (~4.5GB) where 2.5GB is youtube for that page i closed.

I don't know if sharing memory reports from the about:memory page give my cookies away or leave me open to a similar vulnerability so I won't share it unless a dev or similar asks for it but for now, I've included an image showing all the tabs i have open on firefox, 2 windows.

Hello there

I'm running version 146.0.1 (64 bit) on a Windows 10 machine, and I've found that trying to use printscreen now opens Firefox. I cannot discern why, if it's a Windows setting or a keyboard issue or anything else

things I've tried:

- Disabling every extension - Disabling AMD Radeon - Disabling ShareX (My normal screenshot program) - Factory resetting my Keychron Q6 Max (in case there's some weird macro that got set up)

Any ideas? This might not be a firefox issue, but I figured I'd ask here. Thank you

Can you let me know when Firefox will launch smoothly after an iOS update? The problem is that when I browse, switching from tab to tab to access the tabs, users can access even a few seconds of switching between open tabs or when accessing a tab. I currently have an iPhone 17 Pro. I should mention that the problem occurred with my previous iPhone SE 2020 model. Apple had already diagnosed the phone, but no errors were detected. I received a notification that Firefox wasn't yet fully available for iOS updates, hence the problem. Unless this is a plugin, I'll check the post to see what I have to say so Firefox can run smoothly. Another problem is that when reading information on a website, Firefox is "cut off" and another screen zoom doesn't help, as I still can't see part of the text on the left. The text is simply limited by the border. I'd appreciate your help and feedback. Unfortunately, I cannot attach a screen recording to show what exactly the lag problem is. I just installed Mozilla VPN but when it's active my internet connection stops working. Pretty sure whatever protocol it's using is the problem with the WIFI signal, but I can't find how to change the protocol like every other VPN service allows. How do I change the VPN protocol? There is strangely no article already on this site for this common problem.

Hiya.

So if I download an attached file on gmail using Firefox... it crashes. If I open up a new tab on Firefox... it crashes. It only started this week.

I'm using 12.7.6 and I really don't want to go back to Chrome, so I hope you can help.

The macbook completely freezes apart from the mouse pointer which moves, but cannot open a thing. Every time I have to turn the macbook off to restart it.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version.

Best, Mike

Hi, everyone,

I have a strange problem with my TB installation - when I go to repair a folder through it's properies settings, TB deletes BOTH the message (mbox) file and the index (msf) file. There is nothing wrong with either (the folder is fine) - I'm just testing out TB's functionality as I'm moving to it.

The settings are set to always download everything and always keep everything. It's TB version 143. The reason I know the files get deleted is - if I disconnect the Internet connection and click Repair Folder, then go into the profile directory, the mbox file is just gone, while the .msf is sitting at 0Kb waiting for the connection to re-establish. Only the connection is back, TB re-downloads both the index and then ALL the messages in the account...! This is, obviously, highly problematic.

My question is two-fold: - is the expected behavior of the "Repair Folder" button to work offline? Should folder repair be possible even in offline mode? - has anyone else encountered this? I reported this on Bugzilla, along with another fellow who has encountered the same: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1997845 But it appears the developers have a hard time believing it's actually happening...

Many thanks!
