I just updated my OS operating system on an IMac and got an error message that the Thunderbird app was corrupted and needed to be removed. I installed a new version of Thunderbird, but now I only see emails from about the last three weeks from my Webmail account. Previously, I think Thunderbird was saving messages on my computer. Does anyone know how to retrieve my old messages dating back a few years?

Hi,

Not very specific i'm afraid but trying to export all my folders from an old server to new MS 365 emails. All on Thunderbird.

Nested 2 or 3 folders down but seem to be the same on jsut one nest. 15 subfolders with a few others below

either stops with no warning, copys perhaps 50 or soor the occasional error, no info.

Either export direct from inbox, eml with index & subfolders or copied to local first, copy seems fine into local.

If I drag to inbox or copy, again not all move, does this on multiple folders so not as if one is corrupted. Even used remove duplicates to perhaps clean up.

Very vague I know but any idea what I can try.

Downloading emails fom the Host

Thunderbird works well for me and downloads to the Thunderbird Inbox from my email providers host Inbox. However I would really like the sys to also download to my Thund… (funda kabanzi)

Thunderbird works well for me and downloads to the Thunderbird Inbox from my email providers host Inbox.

However I would really like the sys to also download to my Thunderbird "Spam" box from my host "Spam" box which would be seen immediatly rather than have to go to my host web mail account which is a bit longwinded and a hassle. I find that some valid emails are treated as spam by my provider.

I have created a "Spam" box in Thunderbird and the path is exactly the same as the Inbox but substituting "Spam" in lieu of "Inbox".

Is this possible? Help! What do I do?

Is it possible to have the number of unread emails in the Inbox show on the Thunderbird icon in the Windows 10 Taskbar? This would be very convenient and avoids the need to keep opening up TB to check. I recently tried eM Client, which had this feature, but, returned to TB to avoid other dislikes I found in eM. All of a sudden I have no emails since January 13th, when I usually have emails every day. I tried sending myself a message as to why no emails, and thunderbird would not… (funda kabanzi)

All of a sudden I have no emails since January 13th, when I usually have emails every day. I tried sending myself a message as to why no emails, and thunderbird would not allow me to send a message to myself. Based on this I'm sceptical whether an email will reach me. What can I do?

I use thunderbird for email purposes and noticed today that I could not send or receive emails. When I go to compose an email it allows me to type email as usual but there is no send button or option to send when I right click the screen. I got someone to send me an email as a test but I did not receive the email. My email address is ianwil@interlog.com.
