I get "connection to server pop.mail.yahoo.com timed out" every few minutes. mail is not usually delivered, and some mail that's delivered is from two-three weeks ago that I've already gotten. It seems that I've stopped receiving mail for account "redacted@frontier.com" after 10/8/26. Mail that's sent to other accounts seem to be delivered OK, but mail that's sent to this account doesn't show up. I've received at least some mail for account "redacted@frontier.com" for 10/9 and 10/10. Not sure if I'm getting everything. Mail seems to be received at the yahoo.com website for both email addresses [redacted@frontier.com and redacted@frontier.com]. At least I hope it is! Mail also seems to be received using the yahoo app for Android [phone] and yahoo app for iPad.

My @googlemail.com account has been working in Thunderbird for years. Two days ago it stopped. No incoming e-mails and attempts to send e-mails from Thunderbird result in the outgoing server timing out. I can access direct at gmail.

Please note that my previous e-mail: alan.rhodes@talktalk.net is no longer available The replacement: alan-rhodes@outlook.com has been blocked by MS-AI (It didn't like a circulation e-mail to 60 members of my local history group) The only working e-mail I have is the current problem one: rhodes.alan1@googlemail.com

I moved some emails to a folder and they are not there. Tried to move last email to folder and it jumps back to my inbox. Also how do I access help in thunderbird?

I use emojis in email, but recipients report that the text of the email arrives covered with emojis. I thought it was a problem with the receiver until a second person just reported the same issue with an email I sent them. Both are gmail accounts . . .

My inbox is not updating for my personal or work account. I recently reset the password for my company account and since then I have not received new emails on thunderbird.

A couple of days ago I was suddenly unable to receive email. I can still "Send." This may be relevant. A week or so ago my ATT email started requiring a verification process that required matching up figures. This continued for several days. Eventually I started receiving a "verification confirmed" message w/o having to match the figures and the log-in proceeded as usual. For the last couple of days I have not received the verification message and the log-in as proceeded in the normal manner. I remember a few years ago there was a problem with ATT and Thunderbird having to have a special pass word. It was called a SafeKey. Don't know if this is the same problem.

My inbox appears empty. On the inbox setting it is only giving instruction to set up another account. My normal emails have disappeared. I can still see the emails on my phone however.

New mail keeps going to either the Inbox, Notifications, or the Newsletter folders by default. No filters have been added to change the initial settings. How can the settings be modified so that all incoming mail goes to the inbox, eliminating every future instance of it being directed elsewhere?

I have no interest in the Notifications or Newsletter folders. I'm happy with getting rid of them completely, if that is a possibility that can solve the problem.

T-Bird consistently reports receipt of an email to be received one hour earlier that it was actually received. For example, I received and email at 4:03 pm (Windows 11 time and actual time). The time that T-Bird reports the email as being received is 3:10 pm. I would appreciate help in resolving this. I think it might be the cause of a problem with scheduling an appointment - the online confirmation says 3:10 is the appointment time while a confirming email (received moments later) says 2:10 is the appointment time

On MS Win11, my TBird IMAP client (up to date) has two mail accounts. In one, deleted messages return immediately after deletion! Also, (possibly related), this account has TWO Spam folders (I did not do this). The other mail account's messages stay deleted and has only one Spam folder. I ran the re build tool on the first one without success. I am NOT technical, but have donated several times to TBird (I love it)

My last email was Oct 2: The settings seem correct, I can even connect to AOL host. But no emails arrive. In addition an AOL banner appears asking me to verify info. I click agree and enter "Next" I then get an Uh oh something went wrong. I enter Close and a large Yahoo banner appears. The only way to close it is with Alt F4. Chat and I have spent 6 or 7 hours with no success

Suddenly and without warning, Thunderbird is no longer able to get messages. It just says DONE. Trying to get messages even from the menu bar does nothing. It doesn't prompt me for anything. Composing and sending work fine! I know it's an old OS Win7, but my other Win7 machines work fine. I'm afraid to do an uninstall and reinstall and lose very important messages. I am having a problem with Thunderbird on Windows when connecting my Gmail/Google Workspace account through IMAP.

The Google account authentication completes successfully and Thunderbird appears to connect to the account, but no email messages are displayed in the Inbox.

Here is what I have checked so far:

I am using Thunderbird on Windows. The email account is a Gmail/Google Workspace account. The account has been added to Thunderbird successfully. I signed in through Google's normal authentication/OAuth process. The account shows as connected in Thunderbird. IMAP is enabled and working on the Gmail side. Gmail webmail works normally and all my emails are visible there. Thunderbird displays the account and its folders. However, the Inbox contains no messages at all. I have checked the Subscribe section, but it does not show additional folders that I can subscribe to. I have already removed and re-added the account. I have also completely uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird and signed in again. The same problem remains after the fresh installation. The problem is therefore not simply that the account cannot authenticate; Thunderbird appears to connect, but it is not downloading/displaying the messages.

I would like to understand what could be preventing Thunderbird from synchronizing the Gmail IMAP mailbox.

Could this be related to:

Thunderbird's IMAP synchronization/cache, the Gmail IMAP folder/root settings, the Thunderbird profile, an IMAP subscription issue, OAuth2 authentication, Gmail's IMAP labels/folder mapping, or a corrupted Thunderbird preference/profile setting?

I would appreciate detailed troubleshooting steps to determine why Thunderbird can connect to the Gmail account but does not populate the Inbox with messages.

I can provide screenshots of the Account Settings, Server Settings, Synchronization & Storage, Gmail IMAP settings, or Thunderbird error/connection logs if required.
