The latest version of firefox for MacOS 14.4.1 has broken the picture in picture function. When enabling PiP, the video window takes up almost the entire screen and doesn't remember the size i set it to, like it did in older versions of Firefox. Another issue is when im in fullscreen mode and enable PiP, the PiP window takes me to another 'desktop', whereas before it would simply overlay on top of my screen.

Why some Wikipedia pages cannot activate reading mode under Debian 12 and Firefox ESR 115.9.1, for example this English Wikipedia page on Emmabuntüs does not allow reading mode to be activated while French, Spanish and German pages can ?

I have used local Thunderbird folders for my Gmail accounts for a long time, and have now started using Protonmail (via Proton Bridge to Thunderbird) as well. Sending and receiving Protonmail via TB works fine.

I want to keep my single local inbox, sent folders etc. I set up a filter on the TB Protonmail account to copy all incoming emails to the local inbox. Works fine. I have also configured TB's Protonmail account to copy any emails created in TB's Protonmail account to the local 'sent' folder. All good.

I now want to get any emails sent via the Protonmail app to be copied to my local 'TB sent' folder - but have failed to get this to work.

If I create a TB filter to run on the Protonmail IMAP 'sent' folder, it CHANGES the separate TB inbox filter from running on the IMAP inbox, to run on the IMAP 'sent' folder!!!

I want to have two separate filters for Protonmail IMAP - one for 'inbox' and one for 'sent' - but they keep resetting so that both run either on the IMAP inbox or 'sent'. I thought filters were separate entities, but clearly not.

Am I missing something, or have I stumbled across a bug?

When I have the Firefox browser open, every time I click away from it to another open window I get this stupid graphic that pops up near the bottom right corner of my screen that says "Intelligent Work" and rotates through three different images. It is really irritating and I can't figure out how to make it go away. This is a new computer and I only installed the Firefox browser this week. It only happens when I click off of the browser to any other window.

In all instances, when I click on a link to view a document on a website, rather than simply pop up to view, the document is downloaded and I am required to save it to my computer. Something in the Firefox settings is preventing the pop-up view from occurring. Not certain where to reset in order to correct this. Please advise

When I watch a youtube video with chrome my cpu usage is 20-30% When I do the same with firefox my cpu usage is 50%

I have set almost all these force renders = True and even granted gpu access to firefox flathub but still no difference in performance. I am asking now because I am just going in circles in the rabbit hole.

Recently on my iPad and iPhone, clicking valid links in either my browser (Firefox) or e-mail (Outlook), a new tab will open to the “about:blank” page, and nothing more.

I have firefox for android, and I have ublock origin, which is great.

However, firefox seems to refresh constantly- even if I minimize it than return instantly- it automatically goes into a refresh mode, it refreshes randomly while scrolling- I wish I coudl completely turn this "feature" off across all browsers.

I cannot state how many times I have lost VITAL data from this annoying random refreshing.

It should be an option to completely disable refreshing of ANY kind, rather than forcing it down our throats, and losing time, and data. If I want to see new content I will refresh it myself/ re enable the option. I was hoping this ridiculous "feature" would be phased out when humanity pulled its head out, but apparently- it's gotten even worse, now.

For NO known reason TB had to be restarted. Opened, BUT only one folder, NOT the Inbox, is displayed. Cannot see NOR access the Inbox, nor any folder (none displayed). Restarting TB produces the same result every time.

If searched any - all TB headers / options. HELP & support yield no clue(s) nor solution(s).

I am watching a Twitch video on Firefox. When I open a new Firefox tab and drag it to another monitor, the Twitch video skips forwards about a minute.

I also occasionally notice skips or pauses when I switch from one tab in the same window back to the Twitch playing tab.

Is there any way I could fix these problems?

I have an email account with IONOS and my wife has an account. We have had these accounts for several years. Recently my wife can not send email. We are configured the same and I do not have a problem. Server: smtp.ionos.com Port: 587 (tried others at IONOS support request) Security STARTTLS Authentication: Normal password. When she tries to send or forward with a simple text (one letter or larger, it does not seem to matter). She gets the following reply: "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Transaction failed Reject due to policy restrictions. When trying to go to that web page, it does not exist. I have gone to IONOS support and we have both looked at the configuration and can see no differences between my set-up and hers. I have deleted all email address from her machine and reloaded Thunderbird (115.9.0), restarted her machine and added back her email. Same results, she can receive but not send. If she uses her phone, it works, and if you go to the IONOS web site and use there service it works. I'm at my wits end and can not figure it out. I have also opened an incident with the IONOS Postmaster, which I think is their second level support. Please help.

I have two computers, one older with TB 115.9.0 32 bit, pop. The other has 115.9.0 64 bit, imap, same email address. I have tried to merge them, but when i do the Thunderbird Import folder has zero messages and no subfolders. I also tried changing the old TB to IMAP, didnt work: "configuration problem". I recently purchased a new Mac Book Pro. After migrating my data from my old one I noticed that when using Firefox my Facebook account was not working properly. I no longer could access my own page or the pages of friends. However, I could access some group accounts I'm associated with. On Safari, everything works fine. I suspect something must have been compromised during the data migration.

I deleted the Firefox app from my new computer and then reinstalled it but to no avail. When I'm in Facebook and try to access my page I get an error message. My OS system to up to date and apparently my Firefox is up to date as well. Any suggestions? Thanks
