I wanted to use the new VPN feature and the icon initially showed up in the top right, but it has disappeared and is not present in "customise toolbar" or privacy settings either.

I read the article about having 50 GB of free VPN use after I updated Firefox today to version 149.0; however, I don't see anywhere where I can enable the VPN. I've checked in the "Customize Toolbar" section, and I still couldn't find anything. I don't understand, the article made it sound like I should have access, but I've also read that it's not out for everyone yet?

I was not given a VPN setup on restarting Firefox, and have no VPN icon in my toolbar. I have tried using customise toolbar, but there is no VPN icon to add back. Version 150.0, automatically opened to "What's New in Firefox 150" on starting Firefox, just without a new VPN icon. Thanks

I have used Thunderbird for many years and and have loved it. However, recently my "Local Folders Inbox" have been extremely slow (deleting emails, reviewing an email, etc.). I have tried every suggestion that I have found without any change: reducing emails in the folder (down to about 75 remaining), compacting and repairing the folder, deleting and rebuilding all of the msf files and global database, disabling all addons, empty trash and junk, clear the cache, disable hardware acceleration, exclusion in antivirus, etc. It has become very frustrating. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why all of a sudden I cannot reacht my saved passwords anymore. Also it does nit prefill the saved passwords anymore when going to a website. How come Firefox/Mozilla keeps changing these essential things?? It makes it very much so less productive.

I've included a screenshot of what I get when clikcing on the Password tab. The information displayed in this wcreen also does not work. Clicking on Sync, does just nothing, just showing Sync in grey... Clicking on Login above just show this screen screen again. Useless.

Recently I’ve had a few Firefox problems on my W11 desktop. Sometimes when I try to load a website, nothing appears until several seconds (30 or more) have passed. During that time, the bottom of the screen shows the message Transferring data. Then, after that long wait, very often only a top piece (1/3 to ½) of the page appears. If I wait long enough (a minute or two), the rest of the page appears. Another problem is illustrated in the two images. When I go to AARP, I get the first image. T then press the Reload button and the second image appears. This problem is fairly recent. Previously, the first image always loaded with not problem. Any ideas of what’s happening and, even more importantly, how it can be fixed? Thanks.

Last night I had an operating system update. Before the OS update, I closed all open apps, including Firefox. In the past, the session I closed the previous evening was restored. But this morning, all my pinned tabs and other open tabs are gone, and Restore Previous Session does not appear as an option on the dropdown menu. Recently Closed Tabs is pretty random, not really helpful. Recently Closed Windows only shows one tab that I opened this morning (probably a mistake on my part). Is there any way for me to retrieve the session from yesterday?

When opening a new window on firefox I see a "homepage" (No URL offered at the top of the page), offering some helpful, frequently used shortcut icons followed by a number of headings, i.e. : Popular Today, Connections, Featured Videos, etc., providing image/links to stories from various "news" or "interest" websites, which I can click on to view. Opening a number of these sites in order to view the advertised "story" require setting up a free, or paywall account/membership, etc.. How can I eliminate these undesirable/unwanted options from being "offered" or shown on my firefox homepage? Something may look interesting, but I'm not one to sign up, or pay to view these opportunities. I see where I can eliminate entire Categories, but what I'm trying to do is block, or eliminate the "offer to view" what I deem "unwanted offers to sign up to view this "story". Can this "Junk/Bait" be eliminated from my homepage on a site by site basis? As examples: CNN, Wired", "the cut", among others. Can the page be configured to eliminate the offering of "Non-Free", "Non-Membership", "Non-Signup" Sites? (Apologies for my lack of appropriate semantics, I'm just a user, not an Internet Expert, developer, or or software-savvy person.) As an aside, is there a way to contact a real live human person at Mozilla/Firefox to assist with issues like this, or answer related questions. All I seem to find are circular links to "Contact Mozilla", which bring me to unrelated FAQ databases, and user forums, etc., where I find I'm unable to get an answer to the question asked? I can login to all other sites on Firefox, except Facebook. I only had one extension, UBlock Origin. I tried disabling this, then uninstalling, but I still couldn't login. I deleted Firefox's cache several times. It's been like this for a few days now.

No one else online seems to have this problem.

At the moment I'm using any other browser to login to Facebook.

I don't know what else to do, as I prefer just using the one browser, Firefox.

Please advise if you know of a possible fix.

I use apple mail on my phone and Thunderbird on my PC and my (IMAP) email provider is GMX. I recently added a couple of sub-folders to an existing folder and changed the names of couple of others (in the same main folder). I did those changes on my phone. However, those changes are not reflected on my PC. The folders with changed names are in the folder list but greyed out but the new folders are missing. If I click on a greyed out folder it is empty. I've tried several ways to force the list to update but, so far have been unsuccessful.

What is causing my problem and how can I fix it?

Hi, I am using Firefox exclusively for my work Claude account, I only check my usage on it. Today, I noticed Firefox silently installed a webapp under $USER/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs, and it has a Claude webapp, which I neither click any install or add to my menu. I found it extremely concerning in terms of privacy, and I am wondering if any other people have similar experience.

Dropdown menu changed to "Translate selection to French. Has always been "Translate selection to English". I use it all the time. I don't think I changed anything. How can I set it back to English? Tried this: "To change the translation selection back to English in Firefox, go to the Language section in the General panel of Firefox settings, select English from the dropdown menu, and restart Firefox. This will revert the translation settings to English." Didn't work. System language is English (CA).

In a newsgroup I have a message containing the word 'werewolf' in its body. If I do a control-K search for 'werewolf' I see 'No messages match your search'. In the left of the display I also see 'Filters From Me (0) To Me (0). I don't know what this means and I don't know why the search couldn't find a message containing 'werewolf'. If I do a control-shift-K search and select the 'Body' button I see 'No message found'. The control-shift-F search will not look in message bodies. Why can't I find the message that contains the word 'werewolf'? What am I missing? Alan.

I have been using Thunderbird for years with no problems. However recently, Thunderbird very often simply stops responding. Sometimes it just hangs up and sometimes the program bar at the top displays "Mozilla Thunderbird (Not Responding)". If I try to wait for it to respond, it literally hangs for several minutes before it begins to respond again, and often, it simply never starts responding again. It has simply gotten to the point where Thunderbird is practically unusable. All my other application software continues to work with no problems. It's just Thumderbird.

The version number in this submission may not be correct. I can't provide the real version number because of the hangups.

Any suggestions?
