Dear help team,
First of all, thank you for your efforts to help this community. I've been using Firefox for about a decade and this is my first question, I believe.
I recently got a new Macbook. I've installed Firefox to it (my primary browser) and want to sync Firefox to it. I have Firefox on my iMac and my iPhone. However, my password is from 2014 and I can't seem to remember it no matter how many times I try. If I choose a new password, it gives me a warning that I will lose my account information, including my bookmarks, add-ons, history, etc. I really don't want to lose that info! I have spent a long time personalizing my Firefox.
Pleeeease tell me there's some other way to sync Firefox to my new laptop (when I can't remember my super old password).
Thanks in advance for your help! Best, Jason

I can sync my home desktop (Windows 10), home tablet (Windows 11), and phone (Android) just fine, but I am having trouble syncing with my work desktop (Windows 10). As I can work from home, I would like to keep my bookmarks, history, etc. synced.
While at work, when I start Firefox, it says that I am running an older version of Firefox and either need to create a new profile or exit to avoid problems. So I create a new profile, then update to 117, then restart Firefox, and things are fine for a bit. Eventually though, if I exit Firefox, it will go through this cycle again the next time I start Firefox. When I check the version after starting, it says that I am on version 115, even though I already updated to 117. I went into about:profiles I saw that there were several profiles there: default, default-release, then default-release-1, 2, etc., with the most recent number being the one currently in use.
Could this be some sort of organizational setting that is preventing the update from sticking? Is 117 not 'backwards compatible' with 115, so to speak, with regards to syncing? Any way to work around this? Any insights here would be appreciated.

Seems like when I tried logging in to my old account with a password reset, I somehow created a second account with the same email.
All my bookmarks and extension set ups seem to be gone.
Never had this issue, and have been using the same firefox account for like 5 years.

This is my second email to you....
I just switched to Firefox from Chrome, because Chrome was crashing all the time.
All I want to do is sync my computer, laptop, phone and Ipad's reading list. I want to be able to see an article on one device, add to the reading list, and have it on all devices.
I'm logged in under the same name on all, and it says sync is on, but the reading lists are different.
Can someone help me? My phone number is [removed phone# from public support forum], email is [removed email from public].
Thank you!

Recently I activated 2FA on Firefox. I scanned the barcode by Google authenticator, to make it my code generator.
I'm now trying to enter Firefox on my laptop. After typing my password, when I try to enter one of the generated Google Authenticator codes, I constantly get a response "Invalid code".
I had to use one of the backup codes (out of the 8), and managed to enter my account on the laptop, but none of the logins and passwords were found there (it's empty).
My first question is why does Firefox reject the codes received from Google Authenticator (do I have to cancel my 2FA and define it once again? but I did everything by the book, with GA, and it seemed fine the other day).
My second question: I finally managed to enter my account with one of the eight backup code. Why are there no passwords etc? Aren't they automatically drawn from my usual (existing) account?
The laptop runs Win 10. I installed the 2FA on my main computer, which runs Win 11.
Thank you very much in advance, Eldad
Is there a real way to get real help besides posting a thread to which no "volunteers" bother to help? Real staff? Or do I have to higher someone?

Although I have disabled all relevant "sync" settings in Firefox, the browser is still syncing tabs across my MacBookAir and my iMac.
To make matters worse, tabs in Chrome and Safari sync to Firefox tabs across devices as well. The sync occurs in both directions.
I am not logged into Chrome or my gmail account.
Specs: MacBookAir: early 2015/ OS v. 12.7 (Monterey) iMac: Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2017 / OS 12.6.8 (Monterey)
Things I've tried:
Images are from toolbar on iMac when Firefox is open on both computers. Any help would be most appreciated! Thanks!
solved it, can't delete. an update fixed everything

XP FF68esr needed upgrade, wont sync, blue snake chasing tail. Installed Linux and FF78 (dual boot) on same machine. Deleted key4 cert9 and places carried over key3 cert8 and logins from xp68 and got everything back in order and working, except for sync. I was running FF79 on my Firestick and login to my FF account I could see the Linux machine but no sync between the two. I just installed FF120 Nightly on the Firestick to try to get used to it, but it wont sync to the Linux. It did sync to the FF79 on the Firestick however.
The best way is fine

Hi! I am currently logged into the Firefox browser on my Android mobile device. I just downloaded the browser to my new MacBook Air and would like to sync the two browsers like I did on my old laptop. Unfortunately I it's been so long that I forgot the password, sadly I never saved a recovery code (but will asap!) and I refuse to lose my bookmarks by resetting the password.
Where can I look in the mobile browser to see my password to input it into the desktop browser? Thank you!

I'm having problems to sync my account with one computer, and apparently the reason is that it cannot reach the sync server
https://sync-1-us-west1-g.sync.services.mozilla.com
I can open the above url from my phone and from one laptop, but I cannot open that address from the laptop that I'm trying to synchronize. I got the address from the sync-log
Sync.Resource WARN GET request to https://sync-1-us-west1-g.sync.services.mozilla.com/1.5/161701144/info/collections failed: [Exception... "The connection has timed out" nsresult: "0x804b000e (NS_ERROR_NET_TIMEOUT)" location: "<unknown>" data: no] No traceback available
Sync.Service DEBUG verifyLogin failed: [Exception... "The connection has timed out" nsresult: "0x804b000e (NS_ERROR_NET_TIMEOUT)" location: "<unknown>" data: no] No traceback available
Both computers and phone are connected to the same local network.

I got a new device and had to sign in and sync everything. When firefox asked about syncing I didn't realize it was asking about using the edge bookmarks to sync with. I tried to cancel but it was too late. Can I undo/remove firefox syncing to edge? Does this mean any changes in Edge will automatically change firefox now? I do not want edge bookmarks/settings. I want to get my old firefox settings back. If it matters: Windows 10 home on one device, Windows 11 on another. All browsers up-to-date.
