why should an email reply from me appear in my Inbox ?

Why are you putting test pilot 1.3.9 in thunderbird without user's knowledge? This breaks the status bar server messages.

Some while way back when I created & exported my address book as an LDIF file, lots of these links had the option for show remote content checked. As the list has grown the file has been re-exported as LDIF to keep it up to date
When I import the file for a clean profile, the remote content check box's have been reset. Needless to say as the list grows the number of contacts to reset also.
Is this unchecked by default for security reasons, Setting stored in some other file? Any way to import with this setting in tact

Until a few weeks ago I could minimize the Thunderbird window to fill only half my screen left to right. Now, it will only minimize to about 2/3 of my screen. When I drag the edge to a narrower position it goes only so far and stops. I don't know why all of a sudden this change occurred. Is there a way to make the minimized Thunderbird window narrower? I'm using Windows 7 Professional Version and Thunderbird version 24.4.

When I double click on the star next to a senders name in the header area to add them to my address book it pops up a small "Edit Contact" window. I select the address book I want the new address to go into and click "Edit Details". I enter the relevant info and click "OK". The new addresses always go into my Personal Addresses book instead of the book I selected in the original "Edit Contact" window. This is in Thunderbird 24.4.0. Tried it on 2 different PC's with the same result. One machine is Windows XP, the other is Windows 7. Any ideas?

I'm trying to send a large attachment with Thunderbird using Filelink. First I have to configure a Filelink account. The first step in the instructions for configuring Filelink says:
"At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button and then select Options
Click the menu button New Fx Menu and choose Options"
With Firefox open I click on the Firefox logo on the top left, but this apparently isn't the Firefox button as there's no Options option. Where is the Firefox button? Will the Menu button then appear? If not, where is the Menu button? Or is there another way to configure a Filelink account?

Only one email will download, the same one every time. Thunderbird says there are more messages, but after this one downloads it then says no more messages.

Hello, When composing an email I have chosen to have Thunderbird 24.4.0. check for misspelled words with both underline and spell check prior to sending. While testing I noticed that it underlined and spell checked everything except the "Subject" line. Thunderbird will underline misspelled words in the "Subject" line but won't look for a correct word prior to sending as it does with the body of the email. Are you aware of this and is a fix on the way?
