How can I remove "Firefox suggests" URLs from the address/search bar on Android? I found the help article "Firefox Suggest for Mobile" (last updated 4/22/24) but when I follow its directions, I only see the first 3 toggleable options. "Suggestions from Firefox" and "Suggestions from sponsors" don't appear at all. The suggested URLs are frequently sites I have never been to and never want to go to, and their appearance is extremely irritating. Attached is a screenshot of the settings page as it appears to me, with only 3 options.

I'm trying to add Google chrome or any other search engine in as an additional one. So to add a new search engine you have to title it and then add in its address. I cannot figure out how to write this out correctly. Could someone please help. Thank you kindly.

Google maps does not work even tho both the browser and gmaps site have location access and location is turned on . The problem is with firefox for android (stable version 133) . It has been like this for sometime i thought I'd just wait for it to fix itself but that's obviously not happening . Infinite loading or location not detected error . Have tried running with all protections and extension off . Do any of you have this issue ? Is there a way to fix it ? is the issue already acknowledged and worked on ?

By our today's world, we arent using anymore nor PC's and notebooks, we are using handy cellphones in our pockets. Every human has 1 cellphone, what became for everyone our most important digital life assistance. By browsing we all have bookmarks.(BM). The most people has a special collections, just like books in libraries. You can import and export BM in desktop version, but you cant handle BMs in android, but now we has more than enough free space to storage them local, or just download from our chrome. Many people asking since years long ago that create do make it possible this way. I cant see development in this way. Its extremely annoying. Without BMs a web, the net is the same when you wanna walk, drive or ride with closed eyes. No maps are available where you wanna go. No joy, no satisfaction. More and more people simply dont like windows OS, and cant afford an Apple PC, and we have androids only. And its just rising higher. No more need unprotected OS like Windows 11, and no more need a PC, what so expensive is like 1 house, apartman. Androids has cool protections with google. So we all are using and working in these droids. We do backups, and we wanna export and import our FIREFOX - BMs in Android devices. Please million zimes again and again, do it possible, its a really easy way for developers to access to storage space and being available from drive android import our BMs into Firefox. Is it able to fix the browser itself to support background player and allow the website to load and play infinitely in background?(The music only plays once and stops in replay mode in YT music) Also, I cannot see the controls in notifications unlike other chromium browsers.(The images sent is about this)

I have located the setting to allow DRM-controlled content, and it is set to Allow. However any DRM-controlled content I try to play just says "Your browser does not support this media type. Please turn on DRM in this browser or use another device."

This is using the most recent Firefox version, updated today.

Since the upgrade several days ago, I have not been able to select my saved password on some pages, instead I always see "Use strong password" to create a new one. I have not changed my password or anything, and can still see my account information in the saved passwords setting. How can I recover the way to input my password?

Apparently, if there are input boxes for both a username and a password on the page, my account is automatically set as before. Meanwhile, if there is only a password box, Firefox does not allow me to select my saved password.

Firefox for years has allowed me to autofill user/password in apps. Now it says "unlock firefox" and I have to open firefox, settings, saved passwords and search! What a pain in the A__ ! Why are you (MOZILLA) acting like all the other monsters taking control of the people ! Give me control over my device ! OPTIONS ?

Thunderbird for Android just installed, would love to use this instead of current Outlook client. Long email threads showing as unacceptably indented, down to one letter per line some cases. Occurs TB android but less so Outlook android, and TB desktop. One workaround is to view emails as plain text on TB desktop, they then wrap beautifully. Any plans to allow plain text render on TB android? Or any idea how to view badly indented emails so they fill the pane? Thank you for the good work!

On the newest version of Firefox after a full uninstall/reinstall - problem started last night. New install of Firefox didn't sync with my email, but after linking it on desktop via QR code, old passwords were reinstated. opened password manager again, and the problem where my phone accepts the pin or fingerprint, opens password menu for <2 seconds, then asks for pin or fingerprint again.

Menu is also slower than usual to load, causes the phone to hang on a black Firefox background colour screen when loading and only able to be forced to quit if I go back to the home screen, passwords menu comes back on screen if I don't force quit the app (back button goes back to blank passwords screen then asks for login again, android back button does the same.

I've got a new Samsung A55.

Firefox is refusing to sync my passwords. It used to work on my A51. I am signed in and have tried forcing a sync and even unchecking passwords, synching, then rechecking passwords and synching again.

It syncs my history ok but refuses to recover my passwords.

I have dozens (hundreds) of long, untypeable secure passwords... and I am locked out of almost every account. Also I can't get into most of my apps.

Searching the Web this seems a frequent issue with no obvious solutions :(

HELP! PLEASE!

I recently switched from Linux to Windows and installed Firefox on my new system. I signed in with the same Firefox Account that I had used on Linux, but none of my bookmarks, shortcuts, or other data have synced. It feels like a fresh Firefox setup. Here’s what I’ve tried so far: 1. Confirmed that I signed in with the same Firefox Account. 2. Verified that Sync is enabled for bookmarks, history, and other items on Windows. 3. Triggered manual sync multiple times, but nothing has appeared. Is there any way to check if my bookmarks were stored on the Firefox servers, and if so, how can I retrieve them?
