No idea how this name is on the account. It's not me! All works fine but how do I remove this bogus spammer name?

Hello, I have marked a number of emails as junk in the Suspected Spam folder. Why are they not immediately moved to my junk folder? Or do I have to move the marked emails there manually? Or is it better to delete them manually immediately after marking them?

Lately I've been getting multiple copies what I am naming ghost emails showing up in folders I have set up in my Thunderbird account. They do not appear in my Thunderbird Inbox.
They show with no subject, no sender and dated 01/01/1970, 01:00
I have been deleting without opening and then emptying Trash.
Has anyone else been getting what I am describing and if so how did you deal with it?

Over the past few weeks, emails have suddenly started migrating from my inbox into my trash. I can put them back into my inbox easily enough but it's really annoying.
The interesting thing about these emails is that, when they go into the trash folder, they stay there. I have my Thunderbird settings so that any emails I actually delete don't go into the trash but simply disappear.
Can anybody explain why this is happening and how I can stop it?
Thank you

D.Wickers

I never had any problem with the older version of Thunderbird, Mailwasher Pro was able to send the mail I was keeping, right into Thunderbird, and ONLY then did it come into Thunderbird. With the new Thunderbird downloaded version, 144.0.1, If Mailwasher is not already open to receive any email from Comcast, It goes right into Thunderbird before I open Mailwasher Pro and choose the emails to keep, mark as spam, or blacklist. It has become a real problem, but I can find no way in the settings to set it as receiving the email 2nd, after Mailwasher "washes" the mail to it. Why did it always work correctly from the beginning, but not now?

Any intention to improve or is Bluemail a better bet?

This request to confirm a gmail account just began to pop up and appears to be spam. I cannot find its source.

1. I have never used this account with Thunderbird in the past and it is not an email used for communications. 2. Have only accessed this Gmail account via a web browser and am NOT logged into this google account. 3. The web address listed is not accessible. 4. The only object that links to anything is the Next button. 5. Have run a full Windows Defender scan - reports not threats or objects of concern.
Any direction on how to make it go away?
If it is a Google issue, any direction on where to look?
Any help is much appreciated. I am a long time user and supporter of Thunderbird and this is just annoying.
Thanks in advance for any assistance, Kevin in Annapolis Maryland, USA

I have emails from several people that are all automatically going to a trash folder and being marked read. All of them share the same domain address but from different people. If I move them to the inbox they move on their own back to the trash folder. Help! I have tried all the online advice and nothing seems to help. What can I do to stop this?

Hi all! I use Thunderbird with my company Outlook, and recently I've been having an issue of some emails being deleted, but not moving to the trash. I can still delete other emails, but these eight or nine specifically still show in my inbox. When I try to click on them, the subject and sender in the viewer shows whatever email I was looking at previously, but the message itself is blank. I've tried every way of deleting them, but nothing seems to be working. They don't seem to have anything in common, like having a certain attachment or being from a certain sender. Any help?
I have tried everyhing I can think of include jun settings itself. I cannot turn on the junk settings. Can you help me.

For me at least, the point of the exercise of the 'Make filter from message' right click was to avoid opening the creepy messages. I respect that you had some reason to remove that, but now filtering through hundreds of scary messages takes many times longer, and I was barely keeping up before. My email is practically unusable to me now. I'll try to adapt, but there are only 36 hours in day at my place. I'm a little afraid of updates now. Other than that, I love and appreciate your excellent efforts. Thank you. ---end---

I empty the trash in my All Mail and then it all comes flooding back in and I get this message:
The folder 'Inbox on redacted@gmail.com' could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again.
I don't know how to do the two things being suggested.
Please help.
Thank you.

I have turned off every junk filtering option in Thunderbird, globally and for each account, yet the application started and continues to mark nearly every incoming email I receive as possible junk -- even emails from MOZILLA... It is not my ISP, nor my email provider, as they are not filtering junk, either. The banner on the preview window says "Thunderbird thinks this message is Junk mail", so that tells me it is THUNDERBIRD that is doing this. How can I get the app to stop??? There are no helpful conversations in the forum, since I've tried all of the solutions that were presented. I'm about to just delete the app and use something else which is a shame since I've been using Thunderbird for probably 20 years, but I cannot continue if this problem does not stop.
