I know it may sound a bit strange, but I would like to know WHY an extension is not allowed in a private window, so I might understand the reason why I'm not able to diagnose an issue I'm having with fucking amazon who has their cart all over the place for a misconfiguration in firefox that either I did or an extension is causing, however I'm unable to figure out which because I can't enable extensions in private windows, where the issue does not happen, so I'm not able to reproduce and isolate the problem. I installed the Arc browser and Arc offered to load my bookmarks from mozilla. Out of curiosity, I let it, and it loaded my bookmarks and folders smoothly. Arc didn't navigate Firefox to the login page, so Firefox released my information without asking me.
What probably happened in the background was that the Arc browser told Firefox which email address it was requesting data from, and Firefox handed over the data to it "on notice". Firefox was not even convinced that the real owner of the email address asked the Arc browser to synchronize the folders.
Is it the famous Firefox reliability?

The Problem (In my VM only because I never browse sites on my Host PC): Toronto Sun website "Sign In" Screen never loads. A quarter circle just goes round and round. The website in question is - https://torontosun.com/sign-in/ The website itself does load fine and I can browse the site and all articles. But I cannot log into the site because the "Sign in" screen never loads. Also, Firefox tabs crash very frequently on this whole website.
Firefox is the only browser that I have on both my Host and VM (I have deleted MS Edge since it cannot be uninstalled).
On my VM, I tried installing Google Chrome and it works fine. The Toronto Sun Sign In page loads fine and I can log in.
On my Host PC, Firefox actually works. I tried it to see if the "Sign In" screen appears and it does and I can log in. It is only on my VM that it does not load.
What has Changed:
The Oracle Virtual Box software was just updated from ver. VirtualBox-7.0.18-162988-Win to ver. VirtualBox-7.0.20-163906-Win.
What I have tried: I have already done the following: Cleared - "Everything" including History, cookies, Temporary Cached files and pages and Site Settings.
I do not have any add-ons or themes installed.
I have cleared all Windows and User Temp Folders and files. I have rebooted several times in the past couple of days.
I tried increasing the VM RAM from 4GB to 6GB - did not help.
I would appreciate a solution.

When I visit a page which contains a Google Doc spreadsheet or try to open a Google Spreadsheet the page often fails to render properly and what I see is my desktop background instead of the Google doc element or Google doc sheet. Please see attached. This has been happening for ages and I resorted back to Chrome for such pages but now I'd like to see if it can be resolved.

For a few months now I've been having issues uploading firmware files to my QNAP server's website. I was trying to update the firmware, but it wouldn't allow the file to even be uploaded. Would just get a general "error" with no help.
This past week a started having issues with 7digital.com not allowing me to download zipped music files. It kept giving an error about the oauth token not being passed through. (Error: Authorization failed for method <GET> and URL <http://media.geo.7digital.com/media/user/download/release>. Missing oauth_consumer_key)
Finally figured out that this is only happening in Firefox, Brave browser and other Chrome based browsers don't have the issue.
I've tried turning off the tracking and download protection in settings, but it didn't help. So, what's causing it?

Testing the same video on Chromium has no problems.
Using Fedora Linux on an AMD system. And Fedora Flatpak build.
System specs below if required.
Any idea to get this up and running would be really appreciated. I think I already installed the propriety media codecs for fedora since the problem isn't showing up on chromium it looks like a firefox issue.

However, when I click the scrollbar of an element with tabindex set to '-1', the focus is lost from the currently focused element. I'm unsure if this is the intended behavior or not, but it seems odd to me. I would appreciate it if someone could clarify whether this is a bug or intentional.
Steps to reproduce: 1. Focus on the input element. 2. Click on the scrollbar of the `ul` element.

Have I maybe copied some setting that makes the two machines (iMAc and MBP) thinkt they're one and the same? How can I "separate" the devices so that they show up in each other's Synced Tabs lists, respectively?
