i want to know why firefox extension reporting requires the user to check a box near text that says that the user is telling the 'complete' and 'accurate' truth. that's impossible for a human. it's also cruel and unusual. why does mozilla apparently assume that every user is a judge and a lawyer in the united states who is also God? it doesnt make any sense. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE.

While you can disable event listeners in developer tools, the site may still load them later during use. Is there a way to prevent them from loading or at least automatically disable them as soon as they load without using developer tools?

I am in my seventies. I have the Firebird 1 tee shirt :-) . I recently received a missive from Thunderbird asking for a donation. I click through and get a donate button. THE DONATE BUTTON DOES NOT WORK in Firefox with NoScript. WTF.

I follow some IT forums and I am to update with security and userability issues. The best advice as I see it is to TURN OFF scripts with NoScript.

After a lot of faffing about I donated. When I first started working 55 years ago I given 2 bits of advice.

 1  Never put obstacles in the way of customers paying.
 2 Never put obstacles in the way of customers ordering.

I think you should heed the first bit of advice. How many Thunderbird users were tempted to donate but were in a similar position to me and gave up?

AI "summaries" or "explanations" have been popping up in front of actual useful text that I want to read. How do I disable this AI summarizer or turn it off? If this removes an AI chatbot, even better.

All I am trying to do is change the subject line on emails. I found the add ons Header tools lite and improved and installed them. When I select a email to edit the subject line I highlight the message go to menu message>header tools lite>edit lite or edit full source neither one does anything???

Also tried opening the email go to menu message>header tools lite>change header details hit enter nothing happens. Please help and thanks in advance

Unfortunately the latest release has broken the ability to support the NordPass extension. I also have WaterFox as a backup based on historical usage challenges, and sure enough it supports NordPass with no issues.

The issue is when a user completes the Account login to Nord itself, then enters their master password for NordPass via the browser. It then gets lost, presenting the animated circle as if it is attempting to process the next step, and it fails to exit that state.

Firefox 145.0, (64 bit), ASUS laptop, Windows 11, <object>PDF. Embedded PDFs do not display in-page. Issue seems to only exist on this particular device. On same ISP pages display properly on other (HP) laptop and Tablet. I've disabled a few extensions and it displays properly.

My question: Which extension(s) will cause the issue?

On my Facebook feed/timeline images don't show when I use Firefox and they are visible when I use Microsoft edge browser. I googled and I found this explanation: The most common reason for photos not showing in your Facebook feed is that an add-on or extension you have installed in your web browser (often Firefox) is blocking the photos being loaded from Facebook.

I activated Relay in outgoing responses to moveon.org. How do I deactivate Relay? I don't want to use it, but it seems to be a "forever" add-on!

1. I have NEVER downloaded "adblock" 2. "Adblock" cannot be found in the PROGRAMS listed on my PC, so no way to "uninstall" your uninvited, unwelcome, unneeded bit of buy-this-buy-this-buy-this angling. 3. "Adblock" cannot be found on a search of the registry. 3. What a pathetic approach, Firefoxers!

GET RID OF IT FROM SHOWING UP ON MY COMPUTER SCREEN WHEN I OPEN FIREFOX! NOW!

I'm currently using version version 141.0.3. Every time I've upgraded the version, there's been other problems with video playback on certain websites. Regardless, I can't read a number of pages of interesting articles because of this browser versions' adblocker which I can't lower or allow social media posts if I want to. My harddrive is almost maxxed out as Windows 10 occupied the majority.

I want to avoid any 'ai assist' searches because I do not find their summaries accurate or valuable enough to be worth the environmental impact they consume. I know my web browser searches are not under the control of firefox, but for privacy and security I kill cookies when I end browsing sessions. So I am not staying logged in to search engines when I finish my sessions, and setting my preferences to 'no ai assist' on DDG doesn't last session to session because the search engine defaults to 'ai assist' searches now, as does google.

Are there any search engines that do not use ai?

Has anyone written an extension/add-on to FF that would add 'minus ai' to all my searches no matter what browser I use? Or otherwise indicate to search engines that I do not want ai-assisted summaries period?

We've got various privacy options built into FF--this is why it is my preference always--and it would be LOVELY to have a 'no ai' option too.
