A website I have accessed many times before now redirects me to an italian site. Is this because of the beta translation? I'd like to be able to go to the real site. mecaforpeace.org

Since I upgraded from FF128-esr to FF140-esr I always get the "Firefox is being updated by another instance" This is really driving me crazy, as I checked / did / .... everything (and even more) I found on the internet related to that.

Nothing helps !

Creating and using a new default profile didn't help

Finally I ended up uninstalling FF completely (making sure no -zero- leftovers remained in ProgramFiles, AppData a.s.o.), and reinstalled FF140.7.0-esr freshly. After installation I started FF immediately with the created default profile (only existing one) --> SAME THING : "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

And this is really a FF140 thing, when I go back to FF128, on the same computer, same profiles, ...., the problem is gone.

I would like to know in detail what checks are really done by FF to decide to give that "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

When attempting to sign in to my social security account I get the following message: Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

I am using 147 ESR and when I go to permissions and block all cookies for the site plex.tv the cookies are not blocked. If I go to the URL field and select the lock, it shows "clear cookies and site data" which means the cookies have being accepted.

Why are the cookies accepted from the site when I have set cookies "blocked"

There appears to be more details in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2014390 located at the bottom. When I try to view the details it asks me to log in. I do not see any reason I should have to log in to view the issue as I only intend to view the bug. Why does it require a login ?

Hello. I have issue with Firefox. I am often opening firefox by command: firefox --no-remote -P <profil> --new-window "<web_site>" Usualy it works. But sometimes it is opening new window and my web_site is located in second tab. First tab (which is completelly unwated) start loading after clicking on it. It is a recently closed tab. I call this tab zombie-tab. It was finished and properly closed, however it rose from the dead. I tried to set in about:config browser.sessionstore lot of parameter to absolutelly forbid to save any information. However, there is still whole history in the list, sites are restorable and sometimes it appears these zombie-tabs. Restore from crash is also deactivated. I tried before to start the firefox without --no-remote parameter, but AI recommend me to add it there. It did not help. Since it is happening occasionally, I consider it as a bug. Dear Mozilla Firefox.

I have tried so many times to reset my Mozilla Firefox account password to no avail, using my Account Recovery Key, which I stored in LibreOffice Draw on my computer. The so many times that I tried, the error that comes up is: "Invalid account recovery Key", no matter how many codes are sent for me to rest my password. Please, rectify the problem as to why a correctly stored 32 characters Account Recovery Key is not working for me to reset my password. Regards

Hi, I have more than one password for Firefox. One is noted for making changes in thebrowser and use benefits that come with the broswer like the security feature that was called Mozilla Monitor that i understand in now discontinued.

The other password is noted for "just signing in." I called it the "Primary" password.

I don't know the difference anymore.

Also i am trying to sync my passwords to my old firefox. The updates were crashing my computer (Mac 11.7.10) so i dragged the app from the apps folder into the trash. Then i used Chrome to download the Firefox 115 ESR (which for some reason is labeled 140, why???) but now i can't find my passwords from the one i trashed. I am trying to synch the passwords from my other (newer) computer but it doesn't work. Do i need to sign in with the other password? Do i need to quit Firefox for the sync to take? Do i need to reboot the computer?

what if this translation could be run a standalone tool, command, or you call an api to translate something locally?

then we would be able to translate documents, mail, .. maybe just in html and plain text (with or without markup) format
