I view a lot of pdf documents via firefox, the light gray background makes my eyes and head hurt after prolonged usage. In the past I found a solution on this forum that advised to set pdfjs.viewerCssTheme to "2" in about:config. This set the background of pdf viewer to black/dark gray. This has worked for years until recently when the pdf viewer switched to light mode again (pic 1). I checked the about:config settings for pdfjs.viewerCssTheme but there appears to be no change. I tried restarting the browser, setting the theme to 0 and to 2 again, updating browser. Sadly the theme is still light gray. Is there a way to change it again? The desired outcome is in pic 2. I do NOT want to change the color of the pdf pages themselves.

First of all, an important thing to note is that this is happening on only my school laptop, and not my pc. This problem occurs on all school laptops that have Firefox installed. The reason I, and some others want to use Firefox is simply to get an ad-blocker as extensions are blocked on the default browsers (chrome and edge).

Anyway, the issue is as such: One moment, I will be browsing normally, and then the next, a page will stop loading or refuse to load any new content. It is just like there is no internet going to Firefox, despite the laptop having internet connection as seen in other programs. The way I fix this is by opening edge, waiting for it to start, and then closing edge. Firefox then has internet connectivity again and will work perfectly fine for another few minutes, before having to do it again.

I really have no idea why this is happening, and especially why it is fixed by opening and closing another browser. Obviously this is caused by some administrative program on the computer, but by the way that I can temporarily fix it, I would assume that there is a more permanent solution. The admin programs on the computer are GlobalProtect (VPN), Sophos Endpoint Agent (Security), and Teamviewer (probably not relevant).

As this is for a student, doing something that is against the school rules, it is absolutely necessary that this gets fixed as soon as possible. I simply cannot live with these default browsers with ads. /s

I have used the troubleshooting mode and caches have been cleared and all extension disabled with no luck.

Other browsers are functional. The log in doesn't appear at all:

No longer able to copy or paste text on Firefox with Windows 10. Copy and Paste are greyed out in the right click menu after selecting text. Using CTRL-C, V or P does nothing at all. Still works fine in other browsers. What has Firefox broken again this time?

Had it yesterday, happened this morning after the restart and just NOW, when I entered 6 lousy tabs, and they are NOT in the recently closed list either.. wups, gone, no tabs, setting has a check mark on open previous windows and tabs. Within 24 hours, lost the tabs three times with a non reported crash and Firefox closing itself with no warning.

I honestly do not think I am responsible to keep a backup of my browser history, I expect a browser to do that. I switched from Opera to Firefox not to long ago.. even Opera is a security risk.. at least it doesn't delete your tabs just for fun.

Very simple.. that happens once more and i am OFF this browser....

Using Firefox View, I am unable to view my tabs from other devices after setting up Sync. It is saying Check your internet connection. If you’re using a firewall or proxy, check that Firefox has permission to access the web. as if I don't have a correctly configured connection. However I indeed do and am able to browse the web without any issues. I should mention that I'm running the latest stable flatpak and I'm wondering if this could be related but I have no idea how to manipulate the flatpak to make this work.

Whenever firefox has multiple tabs open and on any single tab youtube is running i find youtube to crash lag and even crack itself by audio playing with struck video. FYI the same issue is not experienced in other browsers like brave for instance . I hope you provide attention to this problem and solve this issue as soon as possible and as I mostly use firefox to browse and use its dev tools.

I open facebook in 2 seperate containers so that I can maintain 2 seperate personalities under facebook - e.g. I am a group admin within one, just a group member in another.

I have 2 urls defined in my "homepage and new windows" setting for these :

This was working fine without any issues. My sites opened up when I started my web browser and everything.

Recently, firefox has started up but my container tabs do not load automatically, I am getting a confirmation (I will post a screen capture as a comment).

Is there a way to turn this off and just open the tabs without a confirmation?

Firefox won't play YouTube videos. I've tried everything. There seem to be plenty of problems on the forum BUT NO SOLUTIONS!

Since about one year I am unable to use Japanese input only in Firefox. When I try to switch with fcitx and control+space, nothing happens. However, fcitx-mocz works everywhere else on my computer (i.e. terminal, thunderbird, other browsers, etc.). Furthermore, I uninstalled fcitx and everything associated with it and reinstalled it according to this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1367181 (just with mocz for Japanese). This also didn't change anything. Any help is appreciated! I tested a fresh install of firefox. Still can’t get login with the privacy mode. But the normal mode works. When I adjust the settings checking “Do not keep history” and “Clear cookies and website data when closing firefox”. It returned. After a new installation process, I stoped when I checked “Do not keep history” I speculated that this the effect.

But no matter which browser I used, I save no browsing history records. Why only firefox got compatibility problem? Or did whatsapp work anything behind?

When I visit the web site virtueonline.org using Firefox browser, the Disqus comment section does not appear below articles on the site. Sometimes, when I go in and out of the article, the Disqus comment section will appear, but not always. When I use Microsoft Edge, the Disqus comment sections appear.

After last update, Missing "TRASH" folder and only have Junk Folder that everything is put in and marked as "Junk". Then those messages are all marked as "junk" automatically that may not be Junk. Hi, I just upgraded to W11 yesterday and having a weird issue with firefox. I have "combined task bar buttons and hide labels" set to NEVER yet firefox has a weird issue that no other open program has. I have firefox pinned to my taskbar (image 1.) When I click it (image 2) it's supposed to expand into a full size tab but it stays as just an icon.

But when I right click and open taskbar settings, firefox remembers that I have combine task bar set to off and correctly expands into a full tab (image 3.) I'm not sure if this is a firefox issue or a general windows issue. Thanks for any info anyone can provide.
